What tattoo should I get ?
I come from a gang background and I’m proud to be out of it, I wanted something to resemble freedom I was thinking a cuff round my wrist and then going up my arm a broken cuff to resemble breaking the cycle I was in, I escaped some pretty tough charges luckily and had a few near death experiences but I’m on the straight and narrow now so that’s lucky too, any ideas of something that could resemble luck, evil & good, death & life, I know there controversial but I’m sure there’s some good ideas out there.
Should I get a tattoo?
So, I've just turned 18 and I really want a tattoo. I've actually been saving up money from my part-time job for this and I think I'm ready. The issue though, my parents are really against it. Being the conservative Asians they are, upon asking for permission to get a tattoo, I was immediately met with a "of course not!". My mother's reasoning? She thinks that only 'bad people' get tattoos and that I won't be able to find a husband if I get one. My parents don't seem to understand how much the world has developed and how much more tattoos are accepted nowadays. Since my parents' arguments are literally just stereotypes of people with tattoos, should I ignore them and just get one? Or should I listen?
What tattoo should i get and where?
All of my tats are on my body for a reason. I only get them when something in my life happens that I never want to forget. I have a fairie for each of my daughters (2) a rose...very cliche for their biological father who passed away, and a butterfly for myself....a change, learning to fly..... everything I have is very special to me...and you need to make damn sure that you want it on your body for the rest of your life. I suggest that you not get flash art, but rather something that is semi original, at minimum..... dont get a tat just cause you turned 18 and you want one....people that randomly get tattoos frustrate me. They were intended originally, as somewhat of a right of passage, if you will..and now its flargrent and impulsive....and people one day regret them. Goodluck!
What should I get as my first tattoo?
I suggest getting curved lines for each year you are alive. 1″ to represent being 1 year old, 18″ for when you were 18, and so on… you can make any abstract or detailed design you want with those lines, and then every 5 years or so, go in and get all the new ones, changing your old art with the application of your new ink.1″-20″ for your 1st 20 years of life totals out to 210″ of line-work, while the next 10 years adds up to 255″, which means if you did not dig your ink from being 20, you’ll more than double it in the next 10 years, and double again soon after that… everything changes with time, including your sweet 1st tattoo!!!Or, you know, you could cover yourself with eyes and change your name to Argus.
What kind of tattoo should I get for my dad?
A good tattoo would be something original you came up with on your own, and got from a talented artist once you're over 18 years old. A horrible tattoo would be anything you had suggested to you by strangers, or anything you got at your age. Honestly, why do you think something borigin/unoriginal that a stranger suggested would be a proper tribute to your father? Best of luck and sorry for your loss.

What tattoos should I get for Eminem?
I wouldn’t. Over the years your tastes may change, his style of music may change not to your liking. I was big on Kid Rock in his earlier days, not so much anymore. That’s his choice of music style, not mine. I actually lived within driving time to him and Eminem, and knew people that went to school with Kid. If I had wanted to meet him it only would have taken a few phone calls. His song “Only God Knows Why” really struck a chord with me. But I never did pull those strings. That song is still in my head, but not on my arm. My younger son wanted to see the movie “8 Mile.” We lived about 45 mins. from there and knew how that world worked. I had to take him to the showing, because he was young and the movie rating. At that point I could have pulled some strings and made some phone calls and got some “face time” for us both with Eminem. But I didn’t. I like several of his songs, but I’m not about to burn it into my skin. The phrase from a song may become meaningless as you age and get wiser.I have 4 tattoos based upon a girlfriend I once had. One got covered up. That relationship is over.The only tattoos that you get to “dedicate” to somebody are your kids. Spouses and partners can come and go, even if you believe going into it believing it will be for forever. The only things that are forever are your parents and your kids.

What ever you decide on, don't pick a mainstream thing. Don't belike every other girl and get a flower or a fairy, ect. Get something that you think reflects your personallity. Be original, and creative.
