What The Common Theme For These Books

Three books with a common theme?

The Book Thief, Diary of Anne Frank, The Hiding Place, or Number the Stars.
Book Thief and Number the Stars are fictional, while Anne Frank and Hiding Place aren't so a mixture might make your teacher happy. They have lots of common themes (happiness in small things, doing what's right, etc) and all take place in WWII.
Book Thief is longer, but amazing, Number the Stars isn't long, and I don't think the other two are too long either.

What are common themes in Neil Gaiman novels?

I have read quite a few -though not yet all- of Neil Gaiman’s novels. He’s steadily working his way up to becoming my all-time favorite author. His books, while all similar in their method of story-telling, all differ wildly in the stories themselves, so it’s hard to pinpoint common themes throughout all of them, but I can try.Adventure. Can this be a theme? I’d be willing to argue that Neil turns it into one. Be willing to delve deeper into magic, explore, don’t settle for the norm. Have a child-like willingness to experience the things life puts before you.Magic. I have yet to read any of his nonfiction, so I’m not sure if the same holds true for his less fantastical works, but his fiction has mythical undertones, full of gods and goddesses or faerie people.Acceptance. Especially in Anansi Boys and Neverwhere, the reader is left with the impression that there are some things that the fates are simply not willing to budge on.If you’re considering reading any of Neil’s work, I highly recommend it. I’m currently rereading American Gods for the first time in years, and I’m enjoying it all the more the second time.

What are common themes in Kurt Vonnegut novels?

I have an author project and I read 3 of Vonnegut's books, Slaughterhouse Five, Mother Night, and Timequake. I have to find quotes that relate to ONE theme from all of the books and I thought, "Destruction of Humanity" would be a theme, but I'm not sure. PLease help!
