Manchester United vs Arsenal, 1999 FA Cup Semi Final Replay:Just a little bit of background. It was an era of Manchester United and Arsenal domination in the English Premier League with both teams contesting for all the major trophies club football had to offer. This game would decide which team would play against Newcastle in the finals. It is considered to be one of the best United-Arsenal games ever. David Beckham put United ahead with a sensational strike from long distance. Dennis Bergkamp equalized for Arsenal in the second half. Things turned to worse for United. Captain Roy Keane was sent off and in the dying minutes United conceded a penalty which was ultimately saved by the great Dane Peter Schmeichel. The game went into the extra time with a 10 men United having their backs to the wall… Until Ryan Giggs decided to do THISIt is not only one of the greatest FA cup goals but also a goal that brought out the best in the ever famous duo of Martin Tyler and Andy Gray.Martin Tyler : “Giggs. Gets past Vieira, past Dixon, who comes back at him. Its a wonderful run from Giggs...sensational goal from Ryan Giggs...in the second period of extra time, he’s cut Arsenal to ribbons...And the team with 10 men go back in front 2-1!"Andy Gray : "Well words fail me! @ Dubya, get out you bandwagon Barcelona English speaking fan! It is you that knows nothing about football. You have probably only watched highlights of Barca games or you were playing as them on Fifa 11. How many times have you been to the Nou Camp to see your "team" play? My bet is none. If Madrid win the treble this year you will switch teams you bandwagon knobhead!
