I'm 18 and not ready to work full time, please read description. What do i do?
I just graduated high school just about a month ago, and a weeks after being graduated, my boss decided to schedule me 40 hours a week and I am not ready for that yet, is that wrong of me? Am i being lazy? I also told him that I would only like to work part-time and he said oh okay we can figure a schedule out, but never did. I make $11.25 at my job now. I then went and applied at different places around town, and got a new job, but it only pays $9.00 an hour, but also has tips (I work at a gas station now by the way) I accepted my new job, but the night that i did, my mom yelled at me for not wanting to work full time and also informed me that she would like me to pay my car insurance, which is $75/month, and my phone bill which is $50/month, which i am fine with paying, but she stressed me out about not wanting to work at my job now and having to pay those at the same time. Yesterday i gave my current boss my two weeks notice, but he talked me into staying, but i am miserable there. I dont like the people either, let alone the full time. Is it wrong of me to not want to work full time? I've been happy working part-time, and had no problem with it before.
Would it work to use a fake ID at a hotel? Read description?
I've already talked to a couple of hotels in the area and they've said it's okay to do this - as long as one of us is at least 18 (which we aren't, but I have a fake ID!) Basically, my dad would be putting the room costs on his credit card. We tell the hotel I am of age but have no credit card. My dad fills out some 3rd party form saying it's okay to use his credit card without him there, yadda yadda. We arrive at the hotel by ourselves and they ask for an ID from one of us to see that someone is at least 18 (the hotel is in Tremblant, Quebec). I have a fake ID from Regina, Saskatchewan that says I'm going to be 21 in March. I'm pretty sure it scans. It is the actual ID from Saskatchewan (I know because it has been compared to another real ID). I'm just wondering if they might think it is sketchy because my dad is from Ottawa, Ontario, and I'm supposedly not. How strict are hotels in Tremblant (or just hotels in general) - compared to clubs, bars and whatnot - for IDing?

There are a lot of things to do in and around Delhi. Several meet-up groups that explore hobbies like photography, nature walks, cross fit training sessions, yoga, weekend excursions. You should do things that you enjoy doing - watch TV, read books, visit family, cook, sleep or do activities as mentioned above. Weight loss has to be a sustained effort, you can start now with solid push but remember to follow through once you start work.
Should I leave university for a startup? (read description)
Don't think of this as an "either/or" proposition. Think if it as a "first this...then that" situation.You work for these guys and one of two scenarios will happen:- the product succeeds and you will earn a good deal of money in a few years. At this point you could stay working or go back to school with some money.- the product fails/the team runs out of money and you go back to school with some valuable work experience to put on your resume and a real world education and odds are high you will learn more from this job than you would in universityThis sounds like a luxury problem to have! While you're young you should be as risk taking as you can be... Start ups are risky but you probably aren't used to making a lot of money yet... It's tough to work for a startup when you're established or have a family to support. Work for one now while you're ok living off ramen noodles..
The "popular kids" are suddenly talking to me? read description?
THey realise you have something they don't or want . You knowledge will help then with their home work; study group or whatever . Accept their conversation as simple banter but be suspicious of their motives. " if it appears too good to be true then it usually is ". Then all you need to do is wait for the crunch ; the can you help with this?. If it never come then you have lost nothing and gained more friends but if it does come then you are prepared and scan deal with it. Don't lose you current friends as they are your friends. Don't ever let anyone dictate who you can befriend and who you can't . If this begins to happen then stand your Ground . Use calm rational plain speak. I'm sorry Jannine but you will not determine who I talk to and who I don't. Don't give or receive ultimatums . simply ignore them. The worst that can happen is you become unfriended by the hip group; and that is not always a bad thing. good luck.
I feel demotivated and stressed at work. Please read description. How should I deal with it?
This is very common when you switch projects / jobs.You have 3+ years of experience.Are you sure its the work /task pressure? Or something else is bothering you? If its just the level of knowledge / lack of training, there are multiple ways to deal with it.Seek help. Send mails to concerned departments documenting why you need increased competency to fulfill the tasks. Explain them how you are coping up / trying to cope with it without training and how training would help you better perform. Make sure you keep the communication positive. Do not complain. Focus on explaining the mutual benefit you may achieve in your approach of communication rather than pointing out what went wrong.#1 is not guaranteed. you may have asked for it before and it might not have worked. Are there ways you can self learn? How long would you need to learn? Note that you cant learn everything over night. Learning is a constant process. a. Focus on the piece of information you need to learn to complete a given task for the day.b. Document your work plan before you start the day with your approach to solve the problem.c. Split the given task into smaller chunks and write details involved in accomplishing them ( one line each would do). If a given chunk involves learning, write down that as well with an estimate. Submit this to your peers before you start the day and review it when you end the day. You will see the progress you are making.If the original problem is not really the slowness, find out what it is. Spend sometime alone and introspect. Ask yourselves what else could be bothering you. When reading a job description does "remote" mean working from a home office?
It will depend on the focus of the company A service agency (social services) may be indicating your will be visiting customers in remote/rural locations. A sales type company may be indicating you will be working on your own, in your location, remote from the corporate headquarters. It could also mean you will be assigned to other locations over an extended time - i.e. remote business trips... If that's the only thing holding you back, go ahead and apply for the job. Then you're in a position to ask lots more questions...

I a job description it says must be able to read a (Cable Run Sheet) What is this and how do you read them?
It's an engineering document that lists the near and far end terminations of each cable in an installation. Often it will include the specific hardware required for the termination on each end, the approximate length of the run, and the specific type of cable required. It's pretty easy to read a cable running list. There really isn't a lot of special knowledge needed. You need to know how to read and locate the equipment or termination locations based upon the particular location code that's used. Typically the code will contain information such as the floor, room, cabinet, board or bay panel or block, and port or termination point. You'll need to be able to determine how to route and run the cables based upon this list, determine the order in which to run the cables, and break the work down into manageable pieces.
