I'm currently 15 and i realized I don't have any skills and I hate people. I've been thinking about working at a warehouse after I graduate high school with 12 hour work days and about $13 an hour. Would I be able to support myself and life comfortably with that much money? And how straining is the job?
Would it be hard for me to get a warehouse job with no experience, but with a forklift certification?
So, this is my situation. Im 20 years old, graduated high school but haven't really been doing anything with my life.(had problems with depression) Never had a job, so i have no work experience at all. Just recently I decided to do something and went to an adult/occupational school where I am currently taking a 8 week forklift course. I'm actually enjoying it. When i finish the course I will be certified in like 3 classes of lift trucks. The thing i'm worried about though is that my certification will be overlooked or dismissed because of my lack of/nonexistent work experience. In addition to forklift training, my instructor also shows us other duties we might perform in a warehouse like order picking, but I don't think that would count as work experience.
