What To Do After Completing Pca Exam Online

Do you have to take the CPA exam after you get your Accounting degree? How do you become these other things:?

NO, you don't need an Accounting degree to sit for the CPA. All you need is a 4 year degree Plus 30 credits hours of accounting courses.

I would recommend that you get an accounting degree to pass the CPA. The passing rate of CPA exams is very low. So studying accounting makes it easy to understand and increases your chances of passing the CPA exam.

You need to have a 4 year degree PLUS 30 credit hours of intermediate accounting courses. In all you need to have 120 credit hours of college courses PLUS 30 credit hours of accounting giving you a total of 150 credit hours.

In all you need 150 credits equivalent to 5 years of college.

My major is accounting and of course i will obtain an accounting degree to sit for the CPA......

WHAT i'm doing is obtaining my bachelors degree in accounting which will give me 120 credit hours(4 years) THEN i will go for a masters in accounting which is 30 credits(1 year). This way I will both have a Masters degree and the required courses and credits to sit for CPA.

You can basically major in any business fields such as Finance, economics, marketing etc and then take an extra 30 credit hours of accounting courses. This will meet the requirements.

Where can I take an online auditing class that would count toward my CPA requirement?

You might not want to attend a class that is tied with a school (for example UCLA, LSU or whatever). You might want to try an online school that is accredited but that is specifically for accounting and passing your CPA exam. One such course is Becker Accounting. I am not affliated with them at all. You might want to type in Google "CPA Schools" and look at the results.

Do you really need 18 months to complete all 4 sections of the CPA?

Yes, unfortunately that is completely true. Most people do need 18 months because they fail at least one section. You don’t sign up to take the exam and have 18 months from that point in time. You simply have to pass all four sections within an 18 month window. Here’s more info:CPA Exam Schedule, Dates, Testing Windows, & Blackout MonthsBasically, once you pass your first section, you have 18 months to pass the next three. If you don’t pass all four within the 18 month window, your first passed exam will drop off and you will have to retake it.Thus, if you passed FAR first and couldn’t pass the rest of them within 18 months, you will have to retake FAR even though you already passed it. The same is true for your second passed exam. If you don’t pass all four 18 months from that exam, you will lose that one too. :(The best way to stay within the time frame is to get a proper CPA review course. Becker CPA exam review Self-Study or Online?

I have the summer to start my CPA exam, and I already know that I don't want to do FastPass. I also don't live where it would be really convenient for class yet.

I'm not really sure what the difference is between the online version and the self-study version. It seems like all the course formats receive the same materials.

What did you use and what do you recommend?

Recommendations of good online courses for Maine CPA CPE credits?

You should always check with your state board of accountancy to confirm CPA CPE requirements.

Online self-study continuing education is often a great option because of the convenience and lower cost.

If you are in a big hurry, check to make sure that the online provider allows you to take the exam online and that you can print the certificate of completion immediately upon passing the exam.

I would recommend 1st Choice CPE: $99 for an unlimited CPE package. They have an unlimited CPE package for only $99.

See links below for more information and a comparison guide to use in selecting an online CPE provider.
