What To Do During The Day To Keep Awake

How to keep a cat awake during the day?

Yeah, you don't.
Cats are nocturnal, which means they're programmed to sleep all day, and be awake all night.
That's something that should have been considered BEFORE you adopted the cat.
It'd be like trying to keep YOU awake all night, just so your cat could play with you.

It'd be torture, basically, to keep your cat active and awake all day.
You can't switch it's pattern. Think of how weird it would be if your cat wanted to make you nocturnal.
Heck no, right?
That's the way your cat feels.
What you can do, though, is change up his eating schedule. If you feed him two meals, one in the morning, and one at night, then it's been shown that a cat will sleep a bit more during the night. Also, just let him sleep all day. When you get home at night, a couple hours before your family goes to bed, throw in a play session, and make sure he's nice and tuckered out. That's a sure-fire way to help ALL of you get a peaceful night's rest.
You can also leave his toys out all over the house, mostly away from the bedrooms. Sprinkle catnip on the toys, and in areas of the house that are far away from you and your family's sleeping areas. The cat will be more likely to go there, than to disturb your sleep.

Good luck!

I sleep during day time, and I stay awake all night. Why is this happening, and how can I cure it if it needs to be cured?

Are you really serious about going back to a awake-by-day schedule, or do you kinda like/want/need this nocturnal one?I am not sure if this needs to be "cured". Google for its long term effects, (and let me know too ;) ). If you do decide to switch back to "normal", then:Go on a strict fast for 14-16 hours. Start at a time (say, 4 pm) such that, you have your first morsel of food at the intended new time of your breakfast, say, 8 am. (This works because circadian rhythm is reset easier with a food cycle reset, than a sleep cycle reset.)Accompany that fast with sleep deprivation. (Anywhere between 14 to 36 hours)This might seem tough, but once done, you'll be on your new schedule right away.P.S. This is used by many people to counter jet-lags. Polyphasic sleepers definitely hae tried this at some point of their experimentation. In short, this works.

Is it healthy to sleep during the day and be awake during night?

Being healthy depends on what your body is accustomed to as well as how your body functions.People have biological clocks which triggers tiredness before you actually sleep. There are people who attempt to stay up at night and sleep in the morning. But I’ve heard that they do not fully get what a normal person would get if they were to have regular sleep. The full benefit of sleeping at regular time includes repairing of torn tissues(from workout), production of white blood cells to keep the body from becoming sick or to become better when your sick and etc.If you don’t sleep regularly, you also won’t feel completely energized when you wake up. Irregular sleep(sleepng different than the biological clock) does not eliminate those things from the body, but it becomes inefficient. You will become more immune to sickness or diseases and you’ll have to wait longer for your muscles to repair. So to simply answer now is… Yes, you will be unhealthy in certain ways! However, there is an exception to people who have certain syndromes/disorders. But that’s another topic for other people.Hopefully, your biological clock is normal and you get plenty of right timed sleep!

How can I keep my dog awake?

Dogs are not nocturnal creatures therefore it's natural for them to sleep at night but also sleep during the day, they aren't human where they keep going all day until bed time no they sleep during the day. If your dog isn't sleeping at night then several things need to happen.

You need to make sure that the dog gets on a strict daily routine to eat, poop and sleep. Next you need to make sure the dog is sufficiently exercised in the evening to tire him out. Lastly the dog needs to understand that nightime is for sleeping, therefore, he needs to be confined in a crate, a laundry room or your bedroom, he needs to go to bed the same time you do and he needs to sleep on his own bed. If he gets up in the night put him back on his bed and tell him to stay. After doing this several times he'll soon learn that he has to sleep during the night.

Usually by keeping a new puppy on a strict schedule every day for it's entire life they learn your schedule, they learn what is expected of them and they learn when to expect things such as exercise, dinner and sleeping. My dog has been a good sleeper since 8 weeks old, she sleeps thru the night with no problems but I have her on a strict daily schedule, she gets plenty of exercise and I do not keep her awake during the day to get her to sleep during the night.

If you want your dog to sleep you must tire him out with exercise. If you aren't doing that then you can't expect him to want to sleep when he can't burn off his pent up energy.

My hamster is awake during the day and sleeps at night?

Back to front hamster! Sounds like it has jet lag :P
Toward the late afternoon, make sure you turn the lights down low, close curtains and turn the noise down etc. Too much noise or light might be the cause of your confused hamster. Make sure she has a hideaway she can sleep in that blocks the light. A wooden house is ideal. You may find your hamster blocks the windows and doorway of the house with bedding to further block out light and noise. And to keep warmth in.

Help!my dwarf hamster stays awake during the day?

You read wrong. No hamster is nocturnal naturally. They're crepuscular, that means that they're more active at dawn and dusk, not all night like nocturnal animals are. Like I said though, that's their natural pattern. That can change, it's normal for humans to sleep at night, but people who work night shifts adapt to sleep during the day without any health issues. The you're around your hamster, the more awake it will be. Mine tend to wake up about an hour before I get home, and go to bed an hour after me, 'cos I spend so much of my time here playing and feeding them that they've learned that's the best time to be awake. It's perfectly safe and there's no need to do anything about it. You CAN alter it if you really want, but it's an incredibly complicated process and there's literally no point at all.
