What To Do I Lost My Ni Number Help

Do I need a national insurance number?

So I got s job recently and my boss asked me for my national insurance number. I'm 15 so I didn't really know it from memory so I said I will ask my mother. Turns out you don't get one until 3moths before my 16th birthday, and mine is in June. I asked I friend who was in this situation before but he was getting paid in cash, not electronically, like I'm supposed to. Does this really matter? Do I really need a national insurance number at the moment to get paid?

How do I find my UK national insurance number?

You can contact HMRC to find out your NI number. There’s a form you can complete online,National Insurance numbersIf you don’t have a number ( rather than lost/forgotten it) then there’s a different processApply for a National Insurance number

Total numbers of moles of electrons?!?

Leaning towards two is a good idea.

Ni is losing two electrons per atom to become N^2+, so if one mole of atoms of Ni lost 2 electrons each, you must end up with 2 electrons for each atom, and 1 mole * 2 electrons = 2 moles of electrons.

2 moles of electrons is correct for the equation in your question.

How do you apply for a National Insurance number in England?

There are several steps to obtaining a National Insurance Number in the UK. I have listed them below:STEP 1: You will need to telephone Jobcentre Plus on 0845 600 0643 and register your details.STEP 2: If you are an EU National, Jobcentre Plus will arrange an Evidence of Identity (EOI) interview for you. They will confirm the date, time and location of the interview and will tell you what documentation you will need to bring with you on the day.However, if you are a non-EU National, you will not need to attend an interview. Instead, Jobcentre Plus will send you a postal application (pictured below). Once you have completed the relevant sections, you will need to return it to the address listed in the pack.STEP 3: Attend your Evidence of Identity interview (if applicable).STEP 4: You should receive your National Insurance number and National Insurance number card about 4-6 weeks from the date you attended the interview/returned the paperwork. Your NI number will be made up of letters and numbers and will never change.It is important to keep your National Insurance number safe as you will need it when applying for jobs, paying taxes or setting up a UK pension.If you are moving to the UK from abroad you may wish to enlist in settling-in assistance. There’s an example of such a service here which should give you an idea of what to expect.I hope you found this answer useful. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Help with my chemistry homework (moles)!?

The charge on the Mg ion is 2+, which means the Mg has lost two electrons to form the ion. So for 1 mol of Mg to become an ion it loses 2 moles of electrons

Mg(s) -----> Mg2+(aq) + 2e

This is called the oxidation half equation... (oxidation is loss of electrons)

The Ni2+ ion needs to gain 2 electrons to form Ni(s)
This is the Reduction half equation (reduction is gain of electrons)

Ni2+(aq) + 2e ----> Ni(s)

So you can see that 2 electrons are gained by one ion of Ni2+ and the 2 electrons come from 1 atom of Mg

Thus if 2 mol electrons are gained by Ni2+ then the Mg must have lost 2 mol electrons

How can I obtain proof of my national insurance number?

There is no reason for you to have to prove your NI number. As long as you are a British Citizen (which I'm assuming you are) and you are 16 then you automatically have a NI number like everyone else in the UK so no reason to ever prove it. As long as you know the number then that's all that matters.

Are you applying for a job and they are needing proof that you are a British citizen? A friend of mine recently applied for a job here and although he was born and bred in Scotland and has a Scottish accent he still had to provide proof that he was a British Citizen but all you need is a birth certificate/passport to prove this, not your NI card.

Like you, I lost my NI card shortly after I got it and have never been asked for proof of it when applying for jobs etc over the past 9 years, simply knowing the number is all that is required.

(Bear in mind that it does show on wage slips, P60's etc)

I have a National Insurance Number interview tomorrow?

I'm Swedish and I'm going to this interview in Scotland to get my NI number. What kind of questions do they ask? Are they really nosy? What kind of things should I avoid saying?

I kind of told this guy at JobCenter that I had been living in hostels, but I haven't, I have been living with a friend. She's renting this room from the University, so I wasn't really allowed to live there, and therefore I lied to protect her. I now have my own flat, but... I'm not sure what to tell them. What if they ask about the names/numbers to the hostels I've been staying at or something? Should I just tell them the truth right away? Help please!
