What To Do If My 4 Year Old Accidentally Swallowed My 10 Mg Lexapro Tablet

What could be the consequences of an accidental double dose of Sertraline? For example, taking 100 mg, then forgetting you took it already and taking another 100 mg?

RESULTS: Of 42 ingestions reported, two were adverse reactions to normal doses and 40 were overdoses. Stated amounts of sertraline ingested ranged from 50 to 8,000 mg (mean 1,579 mg). Mean patient age was 35.3 years (range 1 to 69 years). The rest of the assessment was that even with severe overdose there was no significant impairment.Sertraline overdose.

Weight loss or weight gain on 10mg of lexapro?

I take generic Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) with dinner, for depression and anxiety. I've been taking that for over two years, and it's working very well for me.

The Wellbutrin SR seems to help me to be more alert and active - and wanting to do things - while the Lexapro makes me more mellow, and it helps me sleep better, too. They are relatively low doses of each medication, which keeps side effects at a minimum. I really can't tell I'm taking any medication at all.

There are a lot of people that take Wellbutrin with their SSRI's, it helps to counteract some of the possible side effects - such as drowsiness, weight gain, and the sexual side effects. It really does make a difference!!

The last time I was in the doctor office, I had lost 8 lbs - not a lot, but in the right direction. I give the Wellbutrin SR the credit for the weight loss, since it does help me to be more active.

Not everyone gains weight with Lexapro or other SSRI's. But... if you do, adding Wellbutrin will help out. You can also reduce the Lexapro dose, too.

What can happen if a baby swallows a wellbutrin pill?

My 10-month old daughter found a 150 mg Wellbutrin XI pill on the floor and swallowed it. I didn't know this had happened until she threw it up onto the floor. It had dissolved a little bit, but still had it's pill shape to it. We called poison control and they said just to watch her for a few hours and see if anything out of the ordinary happens, but she should be ok since she puked it up. I just wanted to a few second opinions (if there are any) on what could happen or if she is going to be just fine. Anyone have an experience like this?

Lexapro side effects?

It appears that the meds are in fact WORKING! :)

I'm only saying this because you wrote that you are "Generally more happy!"

That is GREAT!! and you should be happy about it.

The fact is, meds alone may not solve all your problems. GAD is a very REAL disorder. Essentially, it's a misfiring of your central nervous systems (CNS) stress function. However, there is a component of GAD which comes from learned behavior (e.g. Your social upgringing, enviornment and even your genes).

The meds are designed to help take the edge off so you can function normally, but if you're still struggling, it may be worth it to speak with someone. There are Psychotherapy treatments designed to help you learn how to manage GAD through behavior modification or a more popular branded treatment called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The premis of this therapy is that our thoughts (cognition) and actions (behaviors) are linked. The therapy helps you understand how the two are linked (including their effects) and help you learn how to make changes to curb the results, namely your anxiety.

I'm not saying this is what you should do; I'm just trying to give you info. I suggest you learn as much as you can about your diagnosis, treatments (medication and psychotherapy) and talk to a Dr. you trust to improve your life.

Good Luck

Personal experience and side effects with Lexapro?

I was just prescribed Lexapro by my doctor for both anxiety and depression (I was on Klonopin for a while to help with anxiety but it stopped helping after a while). The doctor did a poor job in telling me how to take it and what not and since they were office samples, not prescriptions, I have really no guidelines in what to expect. He just said take them in the morning.

So, is it ok to take with food? Also I've heard it makes you gain weight which is something I'm not to happy about since I have already gained a significant amount of weight due to depression. Anyways I would just like to know some of your own personal experiences with Lexapro.

Should I retake medication if I throw up?

The significance of whether or not to retake depends on what the medication is and whether it's a solid or liquid form.  Liquids are absorbed quicker, so more medication will have been absorbed within a particular time compared to a tablet or capsule which has to dissolve first.  For the Emergency Contraceptive Pill, we advise retaking if vomit within 3 hours of taking (but then the consequences are more serious).

What will happen to my body if I take too many zopiclone 7.5mg tablets?

Hello, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.. I am a little worried why you want to know this question as I wouldn't recommend taking too many of these especially if you have no tolerance to them. They are a very strong sedative which can be very dangerous like any substance in a large quantity. I have no medical training or anything but I know it definitely affects your short term memory, you can loose days by being in a blackout state on them where you are completely awake but you have no memory really of what happened the days you take them. If mixed with alcohol these tablets can be deadly and I really hope that you dont mix the two if you do take them. You will suffer blackouts as I said, you can get into very dangerous situations this way as you may imagine, you may have slurred speech, blurred vision, You can also suffer central nervous system depression if taken in a large quantity and this can also kill you :( It is a very addictive drug and if you think you may be struggling with that there are people that can help, im not assuming anything but I know from experience how addictive they are, I hope this has helped you somewhat xx
