How's the drive from Portland, OR to San Jose, CA via I-5?
I've driven I-5 a LOT. But the drive to San-Jose only a couple of times. As I recall its about 10 hours from Corvallis and another 90 min from the Portland Airport to Corvallis. So I'm thinking about 12 hours. So it's quite a haul. In the winter the weather can be a factor In the passes. the rest of the year not too bad. Some beautiful country. its a straight shot until south of Eugene. Then after Cottage grove there are mountains until grants Pass/Medford. Stop in Ashland if you can great food/shops. Mt Shasta is beautiful, if it's not completely covered in clouds the rest stop in Weed has a great view.lake Shasta is also beautiful. Then you drop down out of the mountains and it starts getting kind of boring. I'm usually time pressed so have crashed at any hotel I can find, or even a rest stop. If you can manage an overnight in Ashland and do Shakesphere, that would be a great way to break the drive in half. IMHO. Traffic in PDX and the Bay Area can be a factor. There are many different routes, but I think I5 down might be fastest. 101/ Hwy1 is much slower but a bucket list item. OR/CA coast and the giant redwoods. The drive us not as desolate as a drive from PDX to Las Vegas, or Phoenix Az to Austin TX...or across Kansas. hope this helps :)
What do you do on Sunday?
I have two things I usually do on sundays. I enjoy them both and don’t mind the early Morning.First off I work at a horse riding centre. They are closed on sundays but I go up to muck out, feed,put rugs on or take them off, put horses in the field, being others back out and any other general maintenance.Secondly I go to the areodrome. I’m training for a private pilots licence so any time spent down there is good. I generally only fly once a month or so(less over the winter due to the often less than desirable weather) however often control the traffic in and out as well as assisting with flight experiences by loading and briefing the passengers.Jay Biddle

Arrive where? When was it sent? What time of day? Where in Kansas? How was it sent?All these factors affect delivery time. And even if all are known, most of the time it’s impossible to say exactly when a piece of mail will arrive. The post office strives to deliver regular mail within 2–3 days. But many factors can delay (or speed) that time. Unless you are paying (a lot, by the way) for guaranteed delivery, you’re just not going to be able to calculate an exact delivery date.I wish people would stop asking questions like this. You’d think by now they’d have figured it out that it’s just not predictable.
What is the safest driving route from Portland, OR to Phoenix, AZ in the late December? Through Nevada?
I have taking the Nevada Route 2 or 3 times. You have to get off of I-5 and go up Highway 58 which takes you over Willamette Pass. It can be gnarly at times but most of the time it is doable. Going through California you have to cross Ashland pass. That one can be gnarly. If they tell you to chain up sometimes you only have to go a mile or so but you can't make it without those chains. Going through California is safer because in an emergency you have more people to ask for help or more people who might offer help.

You can write a check for purchases and request as certain amount over as cashback anytime as far as I know.Why not, better yet, just deposit the check in the bank and withdraw the funds? You can usually do this with a smartphone with your bank’s mobile phone app. Also, don’t be an old lady and buy stuff with check. That’s just antiquated and stupid. You hold up the line and people suspect you are a “check-kiter”.
