What To Do The Side Of My Toe Starts To Burn

How can I stop by feet from burning when playing soccer on artificial grass?

The league I play for has recently been scheduling our games at a new complex made entirely of artificial turf. On one side it's great. The natural grass fields in this area are hard to maintain, so they regularly have bald, uneven, and long patches. Furthermore, sometimes they are painted badly and are either too small or too wide etc. So playing on a perfect field is nice.

However, my feet specifically the soles of my feet start burning during the game. I recently bought some new white cleats (instead of black) thinking it would be an improvement but they still burn. Sometimes its unbearable. And this is in 80F degree heat I can't imagine when it gets up to 100F as it does July and August. Does any one have any suggestions?

My feet burn/go numb when doing cardio.. why?

When doing cardio, the bottoms of my feet start to burn and on occasion go numb. (Burning sensation is on the bottom of my feet, numbing is more at the balls of my feet and toes). It occurs more (frequently and more severely) when I am on cross trainers or elliptical type machines, but does also occur on the treadmill or when walking (or running... worse when running over walking).

I do not have any type of fungus/athlete's foot, etc. I have tried a couple different shoes, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. This is really starting to cut into my workouts, as the burning/numbness makes is ever increasingly difficult to finish what I start.

Any recommendations........???????

Why do my palms and feet start to itch after having alcohol?

Itching can be pruritus kind of thing. This happens in liver diseases like cirrhosis. If you are consuming too much of alcohol,it can cause damage to liver, and  manifest as itching. However, cirrhosis has other manifestations like abdominal distension, jaundice, pruitus, etc. You need to lesen your alcohol and get your LIVER FUNCTION TEST done. This is really important.I have mentioned liver because you are alcoholic. It may even have other reasons like diabetes. So first get your test done.

Bottom of my feet are peeling (doesn't hurt or anything) & I wear flip-flops pretty much everyday? What to do?

Hi there,

I am a podiatrist (foot doctor) and peeling soles of feet are very common. It happens to everyone, and I believe it is happening to you because of the place you work - the pools. Just imagine when you are in the bath, or in the pool for a very long time, your skin starts to go wrinkly and prune like. Then after a while, it starts to peel off - this is what is happening to you. I recommend exfoliating weekly, using a pumice stone, or a pedegg (these are actually okay, but a pumice stone does the exact same thing) and just waiting it out. Its not hazardous, and nothing to worry about.
Within time it should pass, but if this is a re-occurring thing, or does not go away in a few weeks, then please see a podiatrist or your local health care professional.

Regards,

Dr. C
Podiatrist

*The following is an on-line diagnosis by a Podiatrist, even though I am qualified I can be wrong because I can not actually see your problem, I recommend seeing your health care professional.*

Foot burns after ACE bandage is on for a while?

I just sprained my ankle today and if i leave the ace bandage on for a while, The bottom outside of my foot starts to burn and hurts really bad. It's only when i have the ace bandage wrap on though. Is the ace bandage on too tight or is it another problem.

Why do my feet hurt so much (like a burning sensation) with high heels?

It's a conditon called plantar fasciitis, and it is caused by abnormal strain and inflammation of the plantar fascia, the connective tissue that covers the bottom of the foot. connecting the heel bone to the base of the toes.

Not wearing heels for a while may make it better, but you also might need to treat the condition with anti-inflammatory meds. There is a treament you can do by rolling a cold soda can with the sole of your foot - that might also relieve the pain. Wearing high heels will make it flare up again, and will continue to do so. Sorry.
