If I put my hair in braid when it's wet, then blow dry it?

Yes, but make sure its totally dry before you take it out because the waves will look better

Can you blow dry a hair bun?

Can you put your hair in a bun and blow dry it so that it becomes wavy quickly. I know letting your hair dry while it's in a bun works for wavy hair, but it takes so long to dry when it's in a bun! Will it work if I just put it in a bun and blow dry it for a couple of minutes? I want wavy hair quickly on a school morning.

How do you blow-dry your frizzy hair straight?

How do you blow-dry your frizzy hair straight? To start you need a good paddle brush.Flip your head and dry your hair so most of the wet is gone and it's basically damp then flip your head back up the right way. To find your natural part just give your head a little shake and it'll fall into place. Now using your paddle brush, brush your hair down. Turn the dryer on to not so fast (you don't want it blowing everywhere while you're trying to do this) and brush downwards while drying the hair where you are brushing. You can get dryers and brushes that let out ions that help keep your hair from frizzing. Also there are electric paddle brushes now available that smooth the hair while brushing.Personally I use a paddle brush and dryer. Thanks for the a2a, I hope I've helped.Images courtesy of Google Images.

Should we blow dry hair or let it dry naturally? Why?

Undoubtedly! Air-dry.Because air drying has got no limitations.Okay let’s look for the benefits of drying hair with the blow dryer. It is time saving.Added benefit of styling the hair.Well, I tried thinking for more of the benefits, but I couldn’t.Now look at the demerits of blow dryer. It causes split ends.Damages the hair. The hot air coming from the dryer is very very bad for the hair.It consumes power.Handling dryer is not easy. It is not a easy task.Plus the hot air from the dryer is intolerable as it touches face, eyes.. (in case your dryer blows normal air)Now consider this, the major drawback of using the dryer:Blow drying causes a "flash drying" effect that not only removes the surface moisture but also removes water that is bound to the hair, which is called water of hydration. The effect of this flash drying is that the cuticles become dry, rigid and brittle. When the hair flexes, the pressure causes the cuticles to crack. Combing hair with this degree of cuticle cracking causes significant breakage. And in my opinion which is not great.Well there is no such problem with air drying. If you want you can blow-dry your hair ocassionally, when you want to style your hair. But using blow-dryer on a continuous basis, can be very detrimental to your scalp. And with air-drying, you can wave, flutter, swing, and play around with the hair. I guess this is the most loved past time hobby of most of the girls.!!!!!!!CONSIDER THIS VERY SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!

If you braid your hair how long does it take to get wavy?

Do it while its wet- like before you go to bed, and when you wake up it should be wavy :)
So maybe spray bottle it and blow dry still in the braid...?
Or, just wait till the last twenty mins to take out and touch up for the party :)

Good luck!

Will braiding my hair when it's dry make it wavy?

because i have naturally curly, curly hair, it's hard to braid it when it's wet so it comes out wavy. if i braid my hair when it's dry (or even a little damp?) and straightened, will it still come out wavy?

any other tips?

thanks. 10 points to best answer

Just braided my hair how long does it take to get wavy?

If you wet them, and put gel on, and then braid, it'll be wavy as soon as it gets wet. If they're already in, spray them with water and then hairspray, when they dry completely they'll be ready.

If you put braids in your hair while its wet and blow dry them will you hair be wavy when you take them out?

Do several sections of braided hair.

Yes, but they're softer when they're done overnight.

If your hair is thicker & the braid is big, and you blow dry them that same day, and take them out within an hour, the braid won't last as long as overnight.

I know. I did this for my wedding, and my curls lasted all through my honeymoon, even 2 days later traveling by plane and train in Europe.

Why does blow drying hair make them straight?

Hair strands are primarily composed of protein, and proteins are composed of elements such as hydrogen and carbon that form amino acids. These amino acids are bonded together by elements and compounds that form “chains,” and these amino acid “chains” link together to create your hair! However, one of the elements that holds these bonds together is in fact hydrogen itself, and hydrogen bonds are very weak and can be broken by water. When hair is wet, because the hydrogen bonds in your hair are broken, it can be easily manipulated (straightened, curled, smoothed, etc.).When you dry your hair, the hydrogen bonds reform in whatever shape they were manipulated into. So if you wet curly hair, pull it straight with tension and then dry it, it will dry mostly straight.Other chemical bonds in the hair can also be broken with heat. So if you dry wet hair with a hot blow dryer, you can straighten or curl it.This same principle applies to flat irons, curling irons and wet or hot rollers.
