In sims 3, how do i add expansion packs without deleting the current game?
Just install it; it won't have an effect on your current game other than upgrading interactions, adding all the cool features that come with Ambitions. If you've downloaded it to Origin, click install and it will automatically install. If you have the CD, just put it in your player, and a pop-up menu will guide you in the process. Just make sure before you install that you remove all mods/downloads, and back-up your saved games. You can replace all mods/downloads after installation. Ambitions rocks, but I like Generations better.

I have this commercial lot I downloaded from thesims3.com, its a gothic cathedral. There are no commercial lots open that are big enough. I wanted to delete a commercial lot so I can put my cathedral in...is this possible? If so how can I do it?

It's done the same way as a disc based version of the game. The game files are the same. Only the way you got them is different. Sims Pack files with the blue ad green icon are to be dropped directly into your Documents-Electronic Arts-Sims 3-Downloads folder and installed through the launcher by going to the downloads option, checking the box by each item you want to add to the game, and clicking on install. My Sims 3 Game Launcher Shortcut Has Deleted Itself?
Recently I have downloaded "Origin" in order to be able to download "The Sims 4 Create-A-Sim Demo". I've tried to go and play "The Sims 3", but the shortcut to the game launcher has been deleted! I don't want to uninstall my game as I'm worried that my custom content will be deleted too. Does anyone know of a way that I can play The Sims 3 again? I've tried creating a new shortcut from "Program Files", but that hasn't worked either.

Sims 3 Launcher - Missing Shortcut?
So I downloaded Sims 3 from Origin & it wouldnt install there -_- So i tried to install it from Windows, which worked but once I tried to launch the launcher I have a missing shortcut - Sims3Launcher.exe ? It said I could browse it myself or they could find it so I waited until it said the file must've been changed or removed, something like that and asked me if i want to delete it ? Should i ? Im not sure .. I have had Sims 3 in my pc before , i just uninstalled it cus it was glitchy. Please help??

If I give my Sims 3 discs to a friend, can they use them without my origin account, and can I still access them in origin?
It depends a bit on how old the discs are and how much you have patched them.The earlier* discs didn’t require an Origin account, so you could install them on multiple computers with the same serial number.You could only play on one computer at a time, of course, since you had to have the disc in the drive to play. But if you had three expansion packs, you could lend the base game and the first two expansion packs to your friend and he could install them and play with the second EP disc in his drive and you with the third EP disc (you have to have the newest EP disc in the drive, as far as I know).However, later when they added Origin, things got more tricky. I haven’t played much in the last couple of years so I’m not sure how locked-down things are now.*Note that ‘earlier’ here refers to the year when the disc was pressed, not when that game/expansion pack/stuff pack was first released.I have a base game CD with no Origin, someone else in my household has a base game CD with Origin—that one was bought several years later. How can I register my Sims 3 game without Origin saying it's already been used?
I originally registered the product code back in June when I bought the game through Origin but had to delete the game and Origin when school started back up in August. Now, I'm trying to re-install the game but Origin keeps asking for my product code and when I put it in, it says that the code has already been registered and won't let me install it. I looked in the My Games area on the Origin app and Sims 3 isn't listed there. Is there any way I could install the game without having to re-enter the code?
