What To Study To Live In Usa

How can i study in USA?

Wow I'm the exact opposite of you, I'm 15 wanting to study in Europe after high school. But most colleges/universities here accept most of the applicants and love to have international students. It helps if your not failing and have a B (GPA) average overall. It also helps to look on the colleges that you are interested in looking at their International Students page. Also if you plan to live and work here for a long time it might help getting a dual citizenship, depending on how your country accepts that. But you will need to get a work permit.

So i ask and please everybody to help me how to do it, may be there are some pulls for students, or some projects in which i could activate. Help me please... !!!

I want to study in usa . can my brother who live there be my only supporter for the visa ?

To apply for a student visa, you must prove you have been accepted by a school/university in the US, and prove you have sufficient funds for all school + living expenses, plus your return transportation to your country of citizenship. A condition of issuing student visas is that you return to your country of citizenship. These are temporary NON-immigration class of visas. Having a brother in US constitutes "ties" to the US, which leads to a strong suspicion that you intend backdoor immigration or scam-migration. If your brother is supporting you, you have a major problem proving that you intend to return to your own country.

Besides, average cost of a 4-year bachelors degree in the US is $250,000. And foreign students have expenses which Americans do not. Your brother have that kind of money? And what's his status in the US? If he's a US citizen and earns enough to meet support requirements, then he can petition for your immigration.

How is living in USA ?

Wow so much to talk about, but I'll try to break it down a little.

1.) America is much bigger than Italy. So its different in every area, just like Italy is very different than going to Sweden or France. A state in the United States is basically its own separate country but follows certain common laws while having some of their own.

2.) Americans pay much less in taxes than Europeans all round. Though some states have higher taxes and different taxes all together. Some states have sales tax, but no income tax like Washington. While some states have no sales tax, but VERY high income tax like Oregon. Then there are states that have both income and sales tax like New York. So try not to think of America as one big country, but a bunch of little countries. Look at the state politics vs. the govts.

3.) Food is much different here than in Italy. The North East has much more Italian food, which is still pretty different than what your used to. Places like Syracuse, NY tend to be more Italian rooted than other parts of NY.

4.) Medical is always important and will continue to be important. So yes if you have a degree your welcome to get a job.

5.) Living costs very greatly on where you live. In Syracuse, NY a city of 150,000 people your expected to spend about 400-1000$ a month in rent. If you were to live in New York City or LA you could easily spend twice that amount.
Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA are good places to live. $600-800 a month is the norm in a good location. Plus our weather is much nicer than NY's.

I want to study in USA but don't have any money?

Before you can be granted a student visa to the US, you'll need to prove that you can support yourself - think 20-30,000USD per year. There are ways around this (sort of) if your family has money, even if you'll be responsible for your own expenses. Also, California is one of the most expensive places in the US to live - your 3,000 dollars will go a lot further elsewhere.

Community college is an option with both pros and cons. Generally they're a lot less expensive than other schools, but most only offer an associate's degree after 2 years of classes. This kind of degree is not usually well-recognized on the international level. Many students transfer to a four-year college after completing a course at community college and spend the next two years obtaining a bachelor's degree, but needing to change student visa sponsors will make this a complicated route for you. That's certainly not to say it's impossible, but you should examine all your options (perhaps a one-year study abroad at an American college while you work on your degree in Poland?) and make sure you're making the best choices for you and for your future.

Is it hard for Muslims to study and live in the United States?

It depends. On the East and West coasts they are generally more cosmopolitan and accepting of everyone including Muslims. There is a tendency though to think of all “true” Muslims as bearded men and hijabi wearing women, and there’s some hostility to that. By contrast, if you dress in T-shirts and jeans, and without beards for men and hijabs for women, you are often somehow thought of as “not real” Muslims, or “not too” Muslim and most are more OK with you.In middle America though, they have very limited exposure to Muslims, and are generally more hostile. To many of them terrorism, unAmerican, Muslims and Arabs are all interchangable terms. However, I still have to say that Americans as individuals, and perhaps more than other people, are able flexible enough to change their minds about a group upon having a positive experience with an individual from that group. They can also dislike a group in general, but make an exception for an individual they get to know.Interesting people, often more complex than portrayed by the foreign media.
