What To Wear With 1920s Pin In Red And Black Hat.

Is it inappropriate to wear a wine red dress to a wedding?

I wore a wine red dress to a wedding. It was most appropriate because it was my own wedding and I was the bride.Today, there is entirely too much emphasis placed on propriety as far as standards in proper attire color, especially when attending special events as a guest. One should feel confident in their dress choice and not be made to stress out in anticipation of the occasion. That's the bride's job, not yours. Wear whatever makes you feel good.A simple rule of thumb to observe when in attendance at a Western wedding would be to avoid wearing either black (usually reserved for mourning) or white (specially set aside as the bride's color du jour) unless specifically requested in the invitations. I'm sure whatever other color you choose to wear will be tasteful and acceptable. Wear wine if you feel like it, I think it's a great color choice. Enjoy your day.

Some of these include:Thin red line: FirefightersThin orange line: EMS and Search and RescueThin green line: Park Rangers and Border Patrol AgentsThin silver line: Correctional OfficersThin yellow line: Security OfficersThin white line: EMSThin blue line with a lightning bolt: SWATThin tiger stripe line: United States Air ForceThin blue camouflage line: United States NavyThin green camouflage line: United States Army

What color tights should you wear with a red dress?

Oooh I love this question! I agree with Minami - it is up to the person wearing the outfit; however, I must say there are options that look better than others. For example, when I wear a red dress, my mind automatically goes to black tights. Whether they are opaque, more transparent, or patterned is an entirely different story. Here are a couple pictures to get a better idea of what I'm referring to: Black Opaque Tights: Black Transparent Tights Black Patterned Tights (though the tights with stars are not pictured with a red dress, it would still look great with the right style!)I don't have a specific favorite from these choices because I think it depends entirely on what I'm doing and where I'm going. Keep in mind that red is such a classic color to wear. Studies have shown that people are actually more attracted to those who are dressed in that color. Dresses are one of my favorite things to wear year-round, so to have tights as an option for the colder winter months is ideal! Hopefully you are able to find a look that you love and can comment back to let us know what you decide! Good luck.

If you saw someone wearing a swastika armband, would you automatically write them off as a bad person?

If you saw someone wearing a swastika armband, would you automatically write them off as a bad person? For the purposes of this answer, I will assume we are talking about a black swastika within a white disc against a red background. A Hakenkreuz as was used as a symbol by the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei between 1920 and 1945.I live in Switzerland, which, unlike Germany and Austria, does not currently have a law against wearing a Nazi Hakenkreuz[1]. There is, however, ongoing discussion and democratic process about bringing such a law. This is because the people who do wear this symbol use it expressly for the purpose of validating and celebrating Nazi racist ideology, eugenics and genocide. The symbol is a serious trauma trigger to second and third and fourth generation Holocaust survivors, and that is why Neonazis wear it: To scare and hurt people. The Hindu and Buddhist communities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are cognizant of this fact, and - if they use swastikas at all (most don’t, out of respect for their intercultural context) - make a point of using different color schemes such as red or yellow, often involving dots, and a reversal of direction and angle, to signify that they are referencing a completely different tradition with the use of the symbol. So, in conclusion: In my German-Speaking Swiss context, where everyone learns as part of their primary school education about the Hakenkreuz and what it stands for, nobody except Neonazis wears this particular symbol in this particular color combination. There is nobody who can claim innocent flirtation with the symbolism, and there is nobody who wears it, except those who wear it specifically to celebrate and retroactively validate the worst human rights violations the world has ever seen. Therefore:Yes, I would write off as a bad person someone who wears a black swastika in a white disc against a red background.Footnotes[1] Verbotene Symbole: Der Haken am Kreuz

Do FBI agents wear suits all the time, like in the movies?

I was an FBI Agent for 5 years and I worked terrorism matters.I wore a suit maybe 5% of the time. If an Agent is required to be present in court, he or she will always wear a suit. Supervisors within the FBI are usually in a suit, but not necessarily all of them. There are some exceptions.A huge variable is the violation that the street Agent specializes in. Generally, the street Agent will wear attire that matches the population within their specialty. For instance, those Agents who work white collar crime will almost always be in business attire. Agents who work cyber-crime, terrorism, and counter-intelligence are likely to be in business casual attire. Agents who work gang and narcotics matters will be even more dressed down, usually in jeans and a polo shirt. The idea is to look professional and represent the Bureau well, but not be so overdressed that it hinders the Agents ability to interact with the public, and if on surveillance stick out so much that they compromise their ability to conduct the surveillance operation. If an Agent is conducting an early morning search warrant or arrest warrant, they will usually be in more tactical looking attire - athletic shirt with tactical pants. And if they are SWAT team members, they will be in exclusively tactical attire. FBI Agents are also required to qualify on their government issued handgun 4 times per year, and this is almost always conducted in somewhat tactical attire - comfortable tactical pants and athletic shirt and ball cap.To your question, FBI Agents are rarely involved in foot chases, but if they found themselves in one, I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to run in a suit. If a female Agent was in heels, I am confident she would lose the heels and go barefoot.

I need ideas for a sexy 1920's reporter costume?

I think you should dress up all sexy like an old school private investigator chick with some thigh high fish net hoes and a garter to go with it then have a short pin-stripe mini skirt. Then on top rock out a really hot Corset and maybe a small matching pin stripe jacket. Then on top of all that wear a big brown trench coat that kinda covers everything up so people only get to glimpse the hotness that is underneath. And of course you well need a fedora ;-)

Hope that helps!

Can I pair my red dress with a red shoes and accesories with a gold jewelry and clutch?

If you really want to paint the town red… Go ahead making sure that the dress and shoes color match exactly. Further, shorter the dress the better the effect with red shoes.. Keep it much above the knees. See the differences below: (Image source various websites)If your dress is longer, then ditch the red shoes and I would strongly suggest to go with Beige/Gold combination. You may even consider Beige with Lace design too with some rhinestones/crystals added to it. This is the best bling factorFor the accessories, Gold will go very well but be careful not to select “Yellow” gold but a lighter softer yellow Gold color. The Dark Yellow color of Gold accessories will make it look too flashy.Thirdly, your clutch… go with a nice one in Beige with Golden/Bling stones on it.
