You mean this girl? Yeah...She's a lot like the "this totally doesn't look like a bomb" clock kid. They're basically baiting a media bogeyman to draw attention to their cause.Just as little clock boy knew exactly what kind of reaction he would get by bringing a "clock" rigged up to look like a bomb to school, little Ms. Lin here knew full well exactly what would happen if she, a self professed Fa Lun Gong (FLG) cultist, tried to get a visa to China. Of course, the real actor here isn't little Ms. Lin or the clock kid, but their parents. Clock boy had a radical Muslim cleric as a dad, a dad who had tried the same fake bomb trick with his daughter as the mule 3 years earlier. In Lin's case, her parents converted to the cult when she was still young and used her as a poster child for their pathetic cause. Here's our little Ms. Lin pretending to be all depressed at HK airport. Anyone with basic common sense should realize the obvious logical fallacy here. If she was denied her visa into mainland China, then why the hell did she fly from Canada to HK just to get stopped at the border?! Come on people, let's at least try to act as if we're not gullible 4 year olds. Last time I checked, people get a visa first, and then take the plane.
How can I convince my mom to let me have a YouTube channel?
I started a YouTube channel last Fall (2013) doing beauty videos. I never did anything inappropriate or gave out personal information since I know how much my mom is worried about my safety. After I reached nearly 50 followers, I wanted to partner with a company and decided to tell my mom that I had created a channel. She told me that I needed to delete the channel because she was worried that guys would do inappropriate things while watching my videos..... -_- I argued that it was out of my hands if someone did that but she said she didn't want to take any chances. I deleted my channel but I really miss doing videos and I've been told by multiple people that I am great at doing makeup and should start a channel. I just want to show people that they don't have to be an adult to wear makeup and make it look nice. I have lots of great tips and ideas for tutorials, but how can I convince my mom to let me start a new channel?! My parents are getting divorced and we had to move. I started YouTube before we moved and so whenever I think about making videos or even doing my makeup, it brings back good memories of our old house. It honestly was therapeutic for me to make videos because it allowed me to escape the chaos of everyday life and just do something simple, but my mom doesn't understand that. This isn't a situation where she is worried about someone finding me and kidnapping me or whatever. She is worried about something that is out of our control if it were to happen, and there is a very small chance of it happening at all. What kind of guy watches beauty videos, much less does "inappropriate things" while watching them?! She also said that she doesn't want me becoming famous, and I said that isn't why I was making the videos, and she said there was no other reason I was doing it. Is there any way that I can convince her to let me create a new channel? I have respected her decision and haven't created a new channel because I know if she found out, I would lose her trust and probably be grounded forever, but I am really starting to miss YouTube. I just ordered a new eyeshadow palette and really want to create some looks with it and do some tutorials but I can't since I don't have a channel. Please help!

I miss 2012?
Adolescence will mess you up a bit. It's a tough time to go through. Well it is for many people. However you can't avoid it, nor put it off. No one can. Those good times will come back. But they'll be added to. You'll now be having all sorts of new great experiences. The world will seem different because you're different. You're operating on a higher level now. There may be some tough times to go through, but there will be new (& better) good times too.
