What Type Of Book Would You Want To Read

Do you have a type of book you like to read?

Most people do.
Lucky people like me enjoy a range of books.

What type of books do you like to read ?

Books without overused plot devices. I get tired seeing parents dying and transportations to new worlds so it has to be something I don't often hear about. I also lose interest in a story if I constantly predict bulls-eye hunches of what happens next. Some examples of what I do like...

Battle Royale by Koushun Takami --about a class of junior high students forced to participate a twisted Reality-TV-like program where they're forced to kill each other until one remains.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams--can't explain, other than it's almost impossible to predict what will happen next in that book.

Misery by Stephen King--about a nurse who tortures her favorite author in the entire world because he killed off her beloved character.

Any Sherlock Holmes story by Arther Conan Doyle--Sherlock is too unpredictable for me to figure out ahead of time, and that's how I like it!

I read everything I can get my hands on though; it's just seldom for me to find a book I can say I liked.

What do you want to read?

I’m trying to write an adventure novel and I would like to know some things you guys would want to read (keep it clean). I want to be able to write a novel my readers are looking for. Now, when you answer this question, I don’t need answers like, “Well if you don’t know what to write, you shouldn’t be an author.” Or anything along those lines. I just want to know something you’ve always wanted to be turned into a book. And I will try to do that for you.
