What Type Of Feathers Did Stevie Ray Vaughan Put In His Hat

What type of guitar did stevie ray vaughan use?

Obviously it was a fender stratocaster, but I noticed first off that the whammy bar is on the top side instead of the bottom, almost like a lefty with the headstock reversed. Also, this guitar looks earily similar, but I'm assuming he used an American not Mexi strat. ???http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-Deluxe-Player-s-Stratocaster-Electric-Guitar-511597-i1147164.gc

What type of feathers did Stevie Ray Vaughan put in his hat?

I could be wrong, but my first thought was egret feathers - most likely, snowy egret. Beautiful bird http://www.grahamowengallery.com/photogr...

What type of hat does Stevie Ray Vaughan wear?

Edit: Sorry i got off track Looks as if I was trying to answer your last question as being the only question which threw me a litttle. which is fine so now then....... I have had a few problems as of late with the neoblusists that tried to follow the traditional guitarists. Albert King does not sound Like Bb King neither does Stevie sound like any but stevie. But if I had to choose the closest to come to Albewrt King is Stevies "Tin Pan Alley" And really i can't define why they don't sound aliike. but "tim pan Alley" came close to a few. And I am thinking of are the perfect comparison and cannot find the correct song. but you take a look across the bluesist spectrum "Ridin with the King" Sounds very similar to Albert King in one instance but may also be recognizable as "Pride and Joy". I rhink this is why many bands fail. I have been in many as well. And many wanted to sound like SRV but they couldn't. I don't know why we just stopped we could sound like stevie and somebody else too. So this iis the issue. When I play drums some say I sound like mitch Mitchell. what does that mean? like Mitch Mitchel I was not ever trying to but some thought that i did sound like him. I can only imagine I suppose a heavy foot could do that but other than that We could not soubnd like Stevie although some of my bands really tried. "Superstition" did not compare to Stevie Wonder "Voodoo chile" does not sound evactly like Jimi Hendrix. . But I understand the question and that is to be more specific and i don't really think I can do even do that Are the two comparasbkle? yes. but they go inside then out. If Stevie were to sound like Bo Diddley in one manner he would but then it would change. When I play Drums some say i play like mitch Mitchell. What does thsat mean? I take it as a compliment but it doesn't matter too much Im just play as it comes, Some instances I play like Robert Lamm. Why do people ask which part of which song is that similar? Do you see the point? Stevie ray vaughan was a terrific bluesist and the second to last bluesist (the one remaining is Clapton,) So I don't try to find one of his songs that sounds similar to SRV Buddy Guy, Albert king. Robert Johnson or Muddy Waters etc. Now then you are asking for a good slow Song by Stevie? "Cold Shot" Is my favorite

How tall was Stevie Ray Vaughan?

I was in the same elevator with Stevie once and the first thing that struck me was how short he was. I am exactly 6' tall and he was at least 5 or 6 inches shorter than me. So just guessing I would have to say 5'6'' or 5'7''. If you look at pictures of Stevie holding his guitar you can tell that he wasn't a very big man , but he sure played some very big music.

How did Stevie Ray Vaughan die?

He died in a helicopter crash with several of Eric Clapton’s band after a show in East Troy, Wisconsin. He had just performed a concert with Eric Clapton at Alpine Valley and was in a hurry to fly back to Chicago. Despite warnings about the foggy conditions, he insisted on flying anyway, and his helicopter crashed into a ski hill due to poor visibility about five minutes after take off, killing everyone aboard. I personally spoke with am EMT who was at the scene of the crash and he told me that Stevie’s body was intact and lying some distance from the aircraft. It appeared as though he survived the initial impact and had crawled a large distance from the wreckage before collapsing on the ground and dying sometime during the early morning hours from his injuries.

What was it like to see Stevie Ray Vaughan live?

I see that this question has been out there for a while, so while it's possible no one will ever read this, I feel compelled to answer. I had the opportunity to see him perform twice. The first time was early in his sobriety. I had heard his recordings, but in live performance I found it almost impossible to believe that there wasn't a second guitarist off-stage, filling in some of the riffs. He played like a man possessed, just filled with the need to communicate through that instrument. Such a barrage of impossibly fast, impossibly deft, impossibly expressive notes. As a (hack) musician, I've had the opportunity to be around hundreds of musicians of all caliber for most of my life. There are just a very few who give you the sense that if you took their instrument away, they'd somehow find a way to make that sound anyway. It doesn't come from the instrument, it comes from somewhere else - deep inside them, or just channelled from another dimension.Okay, enough with the the esoteric babble. I suspect that it was comparable to hearing a live performance by Pavarotti or Sinatra in his prime - like hearing the angels sing (there I go again - can't be helped).

How to sing like Stevie Ray Vaughan?

Stevie had a baritone vocal range, which gives a deeper voice. I have a tenor vocal range, which is a higher range. Bono is an example of a tenor. Bono could never sing like Stevie and vice versa. Johnny Cash is an example of a baritone... hear the diff? Unfortunately you're either 1 or the other (As a male) and you can't make yourself the other. If you try, you'll destroy your vocal chords.... thus, if you're a tenor, you're not in luck... so find out!! (PS. I would go to a profesional vocal coach so you didnt destroy your vocal chords...)

Is Stevie Ray Vaughan blind? If so, when and how did he become blind?

No but he is dead.
