What Type Of Gun Is Used In The Movie Wolf Creek

How gory is the movie, wolf creek?

Their isn't much gore in it, it's more brutal in violence. It's just toture to watch, it's so intense and creepy with extreme visuals. It has a scene of this woman tied up and being tortured by this freak with a gun, it's hard to watch. Then it shows him cracking this chicks back, but no blood or gore. It's just very brutal.

Is Wolf Creek based on a true story?

It's very loosely based on a serial killer in Australia, but the details are all fictional.

The true story of wolf creek?

Wolf Creek is an Australian horror film. It was released in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland on 16 September 2005, on 3 November 2005 in Australia (apart from the Northern Territory), and on 25 December 2005 in the United States.

Wolf Creek was marketed as being "based on true events". Although the producers have not disclosed which incidents inspired the film, some media sources have speculated that it may have been based on the backpacker murders of 1989-92, the Peter Falconio disappearance of 2001, and/or the 1992-99 Snowtown murders. The similarities of the film with the Falconio case led the defence team of the man charged (later convicted) with his murder, Bradley John Murdoch, to obtain a court order preventing Wolf Creek's release in the Northern Territory during the trial (the film was released instead in January 2006). The film's director and writer has stated that Wolf Creek is not based on any single event.[1]

The film, by little known director Greg McLean (who also wrote the script and produced it), who previously directed ICQ, stars Cassandra Magrath as Liz Hunter, Kestie Morassi as Kristy Earl, John Jarratt as Mick Taylor, and Nathan Phillips as Ben Mitchell. It was nominated for the Grand Jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival in the category "World Cinema, Dramatic".

(i hated and will never understand the hype over the descent and 28 days/weeks later. i basically don't like older horror movies as well.)

i cant remember the year of some of them on the list but majority are recent films that i did like. only one was from the 90's which is misery. i highlighted with *** the movies that belong to my favorite list which i've seen over and over again.

What is the scariest movie you have ever seen? It doesn't have to be a horror movie.

The movie that scared me most on initial viewing was In The Mouth Of Madness, directed by John Carpenter. The story follows a private investigator (Sam Neil) trying to track down the most popular author in the world, a horror novelist loosely based on Stephen King. He follows a trail of clues to a town that seems to be lifted straight from the author's horrific novels. Things get freaky and trippy, but the movie never abandons the internal logic of its core premise. This movie came out at the very end of an era in horror filmmaking in two ways. The film represents the peak and end of the line of line for practical special effects in movies. Jurrassic Park(1993) came out one year earlier, and Hollywood's transition to cheapier, lamer CGI effects was well underway. Practical special effects induce a visceral response that CGI cannot, and if you are only used to horror movies from the past 15 years you are in for treat with this oneIn The Mouth of Madness also came out right before the first Scream movie (1996) totally changed the horror landscape. After Scream, horror movies became very self aware, constantly winking at the audience and reminding us that the movie was in on the joke too. By comparison ITMOM is very earnest, unflinchingly commited to its premise. The top notch practical effects and unironic tone coupled with Lovecraftian cosmic horror to effectively scare the jaheebles out of me, and I bet it will for you too. Enjoy!

What is the best Australian movie of all time?

This could elicite so many subjective choices. I will keep to the classics that heralded in a new era of film making.Must see ...... 'Wake in Fright", this sort of gritty film couldnt be made now with such realism. You must also see "They're a weird Mob" it explains a lot about what it is to be Australian - even a wog Australian.Mad Max 1 and 2 are must see films.Because we always adopt the kiwis as ours ..... "The World's Fastest Indian" go see this with your girlfriend. It's not a movie about Indians, or motorbikes, it is just a joyous film.Honourable mentions are ..... The Castle, Kenny, Storm Boy, Gallipoli, The Lighthorsemen, and so many others. Please don't forget that the world's first full length feature film was Aussie. The first close up was Aussie, the first Tracking Shot was Aussie.
