What Tyre Pressure Will I Need If Upgrading My Alloys To 18 Inch

What tyres will I need when increasing the size of my alloys?

Depends on the wheels, but you do realise you're going to wreck the ride and handling (yes, that's right, handling too on a car that's been optimised for smaller narrower tyres) of this Diesel family hatch?

Will a 20-inch tyre support a Maruti Brezza?

No, its not possible and Maruti is already providing good size tyres and there is no need to upsize these tyres anymore. Instead I still believe that for 90HP Vitara Brezza engine 205 would have been better size tyre. 215 is given in Brezza to give macho/SUVish looks. There should be no need to upsize it anymore as far as Brezza is concern, Better quality tyre is where people should target their search.Visit:- https://www.mytyrepoint.com/car-...

What will happen if you change a 195/70 15″ tyre for a 185/65 15″ tyre?

You will change the gearing ratio of your car. The 65 is the depth of the tyre tread to the wheel rim. This is actually a percentage of the tyre width. As 65% of 185 is lower than 70% of 195. Your tyre total rolling circumference will be smaller. Resulting in more turns of the wheel to travel the same distance physically. Except your car will register a higher mileage as it’s had to go through more revolutions. So other than hearing what else. You’ll have a shorter sidewalk, resulting in slightly firmer ride. Though probably not noticeable. The tread is narrower so you’ll have a smaller tyre footprint reducing grip slightly. The biggest consideration is will you fit the same tyre size on both sides of the axle? If not then please do not drive on a road or near any other living thing. Sounds extreme but the handling, grip, mechanical wear and over all safety of you car will be compromised.By all means switch both fronts at the same time or bother rears. DO NOT only switch one tyre to a different size.

Can I change Ford figo petrol tyres from 14inch steel to 15/16 inch alloy? Is that adverse effect of that

Yes tires can be changed. The car manufacturers provide tires which are optimum to enhance the overall performance and handling of the car. In case you see the need of changing the tyre size or opting for larger profile tires you can definitely do so. the pros and cons of this are mentioned below -Pros - Larger tires offer better grip and hence improve the handling of the car, larger tires also absorb bumps and potholes better.Cons - Larger tires mean more added weight this has an impact on the performance of the car, often leading to few drops in fuel efficiency. Before you are looking out to change your tires, kindly have a look at one of the online tyre selectors. These will give you the best option for your vehicle. To know more about anything cars do follow our blog and Facebook page (links to the same mentioned below)AutoGuruAutoGuru | FacebookFor any further queries feel free to contact us - autoguru.contactus@gmail.comDisclaimer - The reviews/suggestions/viewpoints given or made by AutoGuru are solely and purely basis market study and analysis. Will an engine with a rebuilt top end, last long?

Most top end rebuilds consist of upper rod bearings, pistons, rings, head gaskets and that's usually it. You need to find out if the valve train has been rebuilt also, if not then it's still a ticking time bomb. Also the bottom end is troublesome "lower rod bearings, crank bearings and seals" A complete rebuild is comparable to an engine with about 20K on it, not new but still very reliable and fresh. Just a top end rebuild minus valve train rebuild" valve replacement, new springs, seals and all other moving parts of the head" and bottom end rebuild it's pretty much just a tune up of sorts.

What happens if I fit 185/65/14 instead of 175/70/14 on alloy rim of Ford Figo aspire?

Upgrading tyres is a crucial task for any vehicle. As changing tyres specs changes the circumference and hence your speedometer and odometer reading will start to vary as they have been calibrated to stock tyre size. Not much difference. However its a good upgrade without compromising on economy and load on the engine.Old circumference: 1822.37 mmNew circumference : 1797.79 mmThat’s a difference of -13.58mm (not even 1%). To put it simply, by putting these new tyres, if your speedometer reads 70mph, then your actual speed is 69.47However you will be reaping benefits of wider tyres giving you better grip on the road and more planted and stable drives. Figo having decent power and will not be under-powered. Your steering will be slightly heavier. You can go for it.Let me know if you have any concerns.

Will there be even a slight difference in the ground clearance for the same car with 15 inch alloys and 16 inch alloys?

Thanks for A2A.Ground clearence depends on the wheel radius, which in turn, depends more on the tire than the wheel rim - particularly with just 1 inch difference in the rim size. The tires are typically rated as xxx/xx Rxx (Eg. 275/75 R15). Here, the first xxx (275) is the width of the tire in mm. 275 mmThe second /xx (/75) is the aspect ratio of height to width in percentage. height of tire above rim = 275 x 0.75 = 206.25 mmThe third Rxx (R15) is the diameter of the rim in inches. 15 inches = 381 mmDiameter of the wheel = height of tire x 2 + rim diameter = 206.25 x 2 + 381 = 793.5 mmRadius of the wheel = 793.5/2 = 396.75 mmNow if you go for a larger rim and / or wider tires, you could chose the tire aspect ratio such that you can come close to or match the wheel radius. For example you want a 16-inch wheel in place of the 15-inch 275/75 R15 tire with the same width (275 mm). Let's work our way backwards.Diameter of the wheel = 793.5 = H x 2 + 406.4. Or H = 193.55 mm (H = height of tire above rim)Aspect ratio required = 193.55 / 275 = 0.70 or 70.Thus, a tire 275/70 R16 tire on a 16 inch rim would give you the same ground clearence as a 275/75 R15 tire on a 15 inch wheel rim. Here's one of the many free tire calculators available online if you don't want to do these calculations yourself.http://www.miata.net/garage/tire...Disclaimer: The static and dynamic rolling radius are slightly less than than free radius calculated above due to flattening of the tire at the contact patch. Thus the ground clearence would also be slightly lower.

How do I get a wider rear tyre for Royal Enfield bullet 350 without making costly modifications?

There are plenty of options in the 120mm width range. You can check them out. you really don’t need any wider tyres if you ask me. Wider tyres not only alter the way your bike handles but also increase the rate of wear and tear of other other components such as chain sprocket, swing arm bushes. It also results in reduced fuel economy and acceleration coz of the added weight of the tyre.

Can we use the tyre size of 215/65 R16 for a Maruti Brezza (ZDI+) instead of 215/60 R16?

That should be a problem, as the new tire will be about 3.13% bigger. As tire professonals we do not advise anything plus or minus 2 to 3 % of the original size. When you are travelling at 100 kmph, you are actually doing slightly less than 103 kmph.Suggested sizes would be:225/60 R 16 — + 1.8% — Best alternativeand225/55 R16 — - 1.6% — 2nd Best alternative.
