Superman Man of Steel?
I just saw the movie Man of Steel. This movie had the right storyline, spectacular actions and special effects. A five star definitely for me. I missed the part of when General Zod was explaining how he escape the phantom zone. For those of you who saw the movie already, can you tell me how he escaped. I remember he and his team was frozen in ice before the explosion of Krypton. How did he escape ? Also I remember that the government found a spaceship and frozen bodies underneath the glacier. Who were those bodies ?

Henry Cavill is just so perfect and fit to play Superman that I need not to say how great his performance is. Zack Snyder undoubtedly did a great job with this film. First of all, MAN OF STEEL is a completely entertaining film with a fast pace and no boring moments. It moves so well that time passes by and you fail to realize it. By the time it ends, you're not left wanting for more but completely satisfied with what the film offered. It was so compelling that after I finished watching it, I rewinded the DVD to watch the climax fight sequence once again. It was that great!Coming to the technical aspects, this film is a pure gem. Be it the splendid visual effects or the fantastic cinematography or the heart-stopping action, the film doesn't disappoint on any front. This time I was really amazed to find that every action sequence was new, energetic, fast paced and flawless. Not a single action block lets you down. Nothing in this film ever, ever feels missing or incomplete. Another round of applause to the editors who have brilliantly cut it at a great duration.
Did you like Man of Steel?
I know nothing about Superman nor have I watched the other films or read the comics. Man Of Steel was a CGI-fest, maybe a little bit too much, though it is Zack Synder's style. I actually fell asleep for most of the movie, seeing only the first 30 minutes and last 45 minutes? So that might be a good indication or it could just be me. There were loads of action scenes but overall, the movie wasn't that impressionable to me. Even the action scenes were repetitive and the same. Just scenes and more scenes of destruction and charging at each other. The storyline was quite standard and had nothing outstanding, not even humour. Lois Lane and Superman barely had much screen time together to establish any chemistry. The other characters were pretty flat as well. I did like the dark psychological themes of Superman's struggles and coming to terms with his abilities though. And I think Michael Shannon played a good villain. But yeah World War Z was more enjoyable than Man Of Suck. Haven't seen The Purge because it's not out here yet :<

This is a comics related question, we know that superman is called the man of steel but I don't know why he's always being called that. As far as I know he's not made of metal or anything but he does have some superhuman qualities like super strength, flight, laser vision and so on. Why is Superman called the Man Of Steel?

Superman fans I have a few questions about the Man Of Steel?
Here are some questions I've always wondered- How did the planet Krypton explode? Do the other Kryptonians have the same abilities as Superman or is he special? Can Superman escape from a Black Hole? What is his reason for fighting crime/evil? How many times has Superman died and how did he die? Does Superman fear any of Superhero/hero/crime fighter in the DC universe? How many versions of Superman are there? Why is Kryptonite Superman's weakness? What is it about the stone that makes him weak? In case Superman were to turn evil for any reason what plan(s) do his fellow Superheroes/heroes/crime fighters have to stop him? If any of these questions is a slap to the face I'm sorry but I don't the read the comics. Thanks in advance.
Is Man of Steel worth watching? is it good?
It was good, much better than the last attempt at a superman remake! You get a better picture of the whole story of superman and his origin. A little too much epic action toward the end for my liking but the younger audience will appreciate.
