What Video Card Can My Computer Use

If you have 2 graphics cards and 1 computer, how can you use them at the same time?

As long as you have two slots to take the cards, you can install two video cards. If you want to do SLI/Crossfire, then they’ll need to be a matching pair (at least the same model, not necessarily the same manufacturer) and have the connectors to do this. (Cheap cards don’t.)If you have two slots but cards that don’t do SLI/Crossfire, then you can still run both. They’ll just have to drive separate monitors, and the maximum framerate won’t increase. You’ll just be able to drive 3D graphics to both displays at once, which frankly is rarely necessary. This can be a good, cheap way to drive a Wall O’Displays as I do, though. I highly recommend that they be of similar generations to minimize driver issues, but it is possible to get two rather dissimilar cards to operate at the same time (I had a 9500GT and GT610 at the same time, but driver updates always broke things and I’d have to pull the 9500GT for the update and then put it back in).If you only have one PCIe x16 slot, but do have other slots, then the options become much more limited. There are PCI and PCIe x1 video cards, but they’re going to be quite poor by comparison due to the limited bandwidth between CPU and video card. Forget SLI/Crossfire.If you have no available slots at all, you’re stuck with USB dongles. Again, forget any sort of SLI or Crossfire, but you can still drive more monitors than your video card currently supports. However, it may well be better to replace your video card with one that handles more than two monitors simultaneously, and upgrade the speed at the same time, because these suck for 3D and in some cases even for video.

How many Video Cards Can I put in one computer?

You are only limited to how many PCIe slots you have, and how much money you are willing to spend. Most of NVIDIAs cards support up to 3 way SLI, and some even 4, although I wouldn't recommend that you install them all right now. SLI is supposed to be a future proofing feature. As your computer starts to become outdated, it gives you the ability to give it an extra boost. A better option would be to determine how much money you are willing to spend, and instead of getting multiple cards, get one better card. You then may want to upgrade to two of them in the future, and then maybe even 3.

What kind of video card does my emachines t3256 computer use?

it uses a very outdated geforce 4 mx. you can get an agp card since you have 1 agp x8 slot. you can make your processor run faster by overclocking, but emachine bios doesn't allow that so you're out of luck.

also if you overclock and don't know what you are doing you might kill your processor. any ways a processor that old will probably not overclock to 2.8ghz in the first place. if you really want to overclock then you will need a new cpu fan.

look up cpu overclocking on google.

this is a list of graphics cards that you can buy, but only buy ythem if your power supply is good enough.

they don't even make the 6600 since its outdated.

all of these are pretty outdated by today's standards since agp was replaced by pci-e, but the last one seems good.

youre better off buying a new pc since he one you have now sucks.

What steps do I have to take to install a video card in my computer?

if u got a cd with the card just follow the setup wizard and it will be installed.

if not check the website for its manufacturer and download its driver from there and install it

T&L Video card?

if u have inserted an external graphic card then it must support T&L.but if u have on board graphics then it dosent support the feature.Tell me ur motherboard name and proccessor.

Short for Transform and Lighting, T&L is a type of video technology that takes all the 3D information that used to be handled by the computer processor and gives it to the GPU. This enables for a more complex 3D environment by adding a higher polygon count and improving the lighting; at the same time it allows the computer processor to handle other tasks.
Some computer games may require that users have a T&L compatible chipset; if you are unsure if your video card or motherboard video chipset is T&L compatible or what generation of T&L your computer has, please check the documentation for your video card.

If you are unsure what video card you have in the computer, see document CH000258.
If your video card and/or motherboard chipset is not T&L compatible, you will need to install a new video card in the computer that is T&L compatible.

What kind of video card can my computer upgrade to?

You can't. All-In-Ones are like laptops - what you buy is what you'll always have. There is no "upgrading"

IDE Slot - What kind of graphics card can my computer take?

I have a computer that my grandparents gave me (They are pretty tech savvy but not crazy) from 2008. It has 4 gigs of ram, a 0RY007 Dell motherboard.

I am wondering what kind of video card is compatable with my computer. It doesn't even have a video card at the moment, just using ram from the cpu (I think...)

Links to video cards would be great. Wanting to play League of Legends on high settings

Why is my graphic card not supported by my computer?

The question is of course incomplete but it can be resolved as following:The graphic card support is mainly on these factors:1.) The card bus of graphic card is incompatible with your system. For example old system prior to 2006 used AGP instead of the current PCI-Express. So that machine cannot use newer graphic cards.Solution: Upgrade to a newer system.2.) The Graphic card you are using employs a external power input and your PSU does not provide that 6-pin PCI-e power connecter.Solution: Buy a new PSU.3.) The hardware installation was incorrect or any of your components is faulty.Solution: Refer to some guides or YouTube videos or contact an expert.Note:  Sumedh Kulkarni GDDR5, it is actually a type of DDR3 memory specially designed for graphic cards as it deals with less number of large files instead of large number of smaller files.(Graphic Textures are usually large in size compared to other data.) IT DOES NOT CONFLICT WITH WHAT SYSTEM MEMORY YOU ARE USING.I have used a GDDR5 card with DDR2,DDR3 and even DDR4 system memories. Technically DDR5 memory does not exist till date.Reference: GDDR5
