I suppose it was >140 ....some where around 150....But dude....he never took an IQ test as such....its just approximated one....and remember the way you think is unique....and none can really weigh how greatly you think.....May be they can just find out some part....In brief......IQ DOESNT MEAN EVERYTHING! :)

Yes, there weren't IQ tests until recently, so we don't know. It's just that he had one very original idea. There was an experience (don't remember the name) that seemed very strange to all the physicians before him. But Einstein solved it. He had the idea that there is a maximum speed (before him, everybody thought that you could go infinitely fast). Then he made the right conclusions with that idea, issuing his theory of relativity. You need a quite good IQ to understand theory of relavity. But it's not the most complicated thing in physics. But Einstein was the first to have the idea.
