What Was The Last Video Game You Bought From Steam

I’m new to STEAM. I just bought some games, but I have no clue as to how to play them. There is nowhere that says “start game” or anything. How do I play the games I’ve purchased? I’m completely lost.

Disclaimer: this answer does not help the asker. The problem wasn't caused by lack of knowledge of how to use steam, which my answer tries to help with. In any case, I'll keep the answer up just in case that someone finds it helpful.Bought games are moved to the library. By hovering over the library button a list of options open, there you will find the following options:GamesSoftwareVrMusicRecentInstalledFavoritesMy gamesOther users gamesToolsDownloadsBy pressing the library button, it should by default bring you to the games list, but if you have used some other category (such as software) it will bring you to that list. In the games list, you need to press a game you want to play. A menu for the game that showcases the play option, achievements, recent news and other options on the right side.Press the play button to start the game. But if you have no games on the list, you might have just put the games in the cart. To actually buy the games, you must go to the cart where you find the list of games you want to buy. After purchasing the game, you must install it. Uninstalled games are grayed out instead the white of the installed games. By clicking install, you begin the installation of the game. Depending on how good connection you have and the size of the game, this might take a while.

I bought a PC videogame on Steam, but unfortunately it doesn't run well on my PC. Can I "sell" the key to another person?

If you’ve played less then X hours or bought it in a Certain time then I believe you can get a refund.“Valve will, upon request via Steam Support, issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours. Even if you fall outside of therefund rules we've described, you can submit a request and we'll take a look at it.”“Only gifts that have not been added to your Steam library can be traded. On Steam, you have a Library and an Inventory. Your Library is the list of games you own and can play, but can't trade; your Inventory is the list of games you can trade but can't play.”Hope that helps!

Can i play steam games offline?

You have to have the games bought and downloaded before you go to your trip. Then afterwards, you can play it offline all you want, unless the game your planning to play doesn't have a single player mode.

How do I buy my boyfriend a video game? I want to buy him a game available on Steam but don't know how. Also is there anything else I'd need to know?

You could get a steam account, friend him and gift him a game. All you have to do is create an account, buy a game and select “gift”You could buy him a steam giftcard. That way he can buy whatever he wants. They sell gift cards for steam almost anywhere, walmart, gamestop, etc._____________________________________________________Notes_________________________________________________________Make sure you don't get him a game he already has. Otherwise you’ll have an extra game that’s floating around.Make sure he would want the game you’re getting him. See if he has any games on his steam wishlist, or if he talks about wanting a certain game.If he doesn’t seem to want a new game, just get him a steam giftcard. He could spend it on a game he wants later. A lot of games also have dlc and content he can buy. There are sales on steam. You can get multiple games for a really low price, or just one for a low price. At any rate, take some time to see what sales are going on.

How do I hide my eroge games from friends on steam?

There is no way to hide them, so you are left with 2 options.

1. Make a new account and activate Family Sharing so that you can play the games you bought on your other account.

2. Have no shame and just add your friends anyway. I'm sure they couldn't really care less about what you do in your alone time, even if they ever do make a friendly joke about it. Everybody does stuff that they don't really want other people to see.

Can you sell/trade games on your Steam library?

As others have pointed out already, it is impossible to sell the games you bought on Steam. You don't buy keys there, you just get games that are instantly activated on your account. The latter you might try to resell, but it's a) not OK according to EULAs, b) highly impractical, as you would have to create a separate account for each of your games. Now, reselling games was possible via Steam Gifts, but Steam's policy on these was changed about two years ago. Gifts no longer go to your inventories, instead they are immediately sent to the recipient. If they don't accept it, you just get a refund. And as far as cross-country gifting is concerned, if there is a serious price disparity between regions, this option is simply unavailable. This does not apply to pre-change gifts, so if you have anything left, you can still do Steam trades. If you'd like to swap your stuff for extra moolah, you can put them up on sale on gaming marketplaces, such as G2A. There are millions of customers there, so I'm pretty sure you'll sell leftover copies in no time.

What if I refunded a steam game I used a coupon on.?

NICE TRY, but Steam knows better!

When you purchase a game through Steam, Valve makes a transaction record on your account that includes the price you paid for the game... so if you purchased it on sale or with a coupon, the purchase price will reflect that in the transaction record (which Steam e-mails you a receipt of your purchases with a transaction number).

If you choose to utilize Steam's refund policy for whatever reason (game doesn't work on your system, the game wasn't what you expected, game went of sale AFTER you purchased it [which Valve has stated is a perfectly legitimate reason, even if you repurchase the game at the lower price AFTER the refund], ect.), as long as it's within their policy timeframe (within 14 days from purchase, with less than 2 hours played on it) & it's NOT a consumable item (like in-game currency), you will get back EXACTLY what you paid for... nothing more, nothing less.

If you purchased a $50 game with a 90% off coupon & later request a refund, you would only get the $5 you spent on the game & NOT the full retail price. Additionally, if you purchased the game OFF STEAM (like from Humble Bundle, Amazon.com or Green Man Gaming), you would NOT be entitled to a refund through Steam as they have no record of the transaction (only that you used a Steam Key to obtain the game) & would need to talk to the site that you purchased the game about that. Finally, I do have the mention that Steam does reserve the right to decline any refund request, which is usually reserved for those who abuse the system (by buying a game, playing it for 90 minutes & then asking for a refund on multiple titles).

IF YOU BOTHERED TO READ ALL THAT FINE PRINT THAT YOU AGREED TO (that most people gloss over & just accept), YOU WOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS... which is just common sense! You can't get back any money beyond what you paid for when you request a refund regardless where you shop.

What is the most expensive game on Steam that you have ever bought?

As of April 2019, the most expensive game I’ve ever bought was Dead by Daylight on sale for $5 and it becomes my most played game, keep in mind that I actively buying games just recently this year on February 2019. I’m the type of broke gamer who will patiently wait for a game to drop to its lowest price possible.Considering we’re living in today’s world which big sales and deals are basically everywhere, there’s no point to get the game full price unless you’re a type of person who will buy a game once it came out or buy pre-orders. I will never spend more than $10 for a game unless I want it to bad or it's never going on sale. However, I will update this soon to prove my point wrongHere’s my regret, I bought Borderlands 2 (base game only) for $3 on sale then 2 weeks later, Steam gave 94% off for The Handsome Collection for only $12 excluding the base game I already bought. oh, how I regret making that purchase. Yes, it's not much but every single penny counts also it’s more than 2 weeks span which I can't get my $3 back. still considering if I should get The Handsome Collection

Is steam a safe website to buy games?

Steam is, in my opinion, the current best electronic retailing store on the internet. Valve, being a legitimate company, would never steal your emails, passwords, or money. Sure, all games have problems (that's what patching is for) but they are some of the best companies in the market, and have numerous other companies, like Electronic Arts and many more, and have a large games base. The company has a large and detailed database for any need of help, and say numerous times that they will never your information.

I would recommend, if you are worried, download the steam browser to your computer, which you can do at Steampowered.com, And try it. I promise that it is a great delivery tool for current Computer games.
