What Was The Vietnam War About

What was the vietnam war?

Between 1945 and 1954, the Vietnamese waged an anti-colonial war against france and received $2.6 billion in financial. It was also called the cold war. I hope I helped you.

Why did the Vietnam war start?

During World War II, Japan occupied French Indochina, and promised the Vietnamese independence after the war. But the Japs were defeated in 1945 and the French came back, negating that promise.

By 1954, Vietnam was in a fairly constant state of rebellion against the French, and the North had been taken over by the Nationalistic Communist Ho Chi Mihn's followers (who had fought with the French against the Japs). His followers were called the Viet Mihn, later called the Viet Cong.

When the French bowed out after their ***-whoopin' at Dien Bien Phu, the UN became involved -- afraid the rest of the country would fall to the Communists (the "Domino Theory") -- and the US was the biggest player in the UN. US "advisors" started arriving almost as soon as the French had pulled out, though overt combat troops didn't begin arriving until after the "Tonkin Gulf Incident" of 1964.

Was the Vietnam War a bad move by the USA?

Absolutely. Any war is a bad move from any country. As a Brit, I'm aware of our history. It's pure brutality, torture and dominance.

Don't ever consider any war declared by either country to be justified.

What would the U.S. be like if the Vietnam War never happened?

We might still have some respect from the rest of the world. Our people might have more confidence in our government. Our soldiers would have never had to face the humiliation back home. Probable the most important aspect of all, the men who died would still be with us today (at least most of them).

Was oil the reason for the Vietnam War?

This is far more than a rumor. An American lawyer, writer and draftee, Bryan Roesch has done extensive study of this matter combing through official US war related documents of that era. He found that Standard Oil and others lobbied and provided generous financial rewards to several politicians demanding that the US invade and support the French installed dictator in the South part of the country. A dictator so evil that the Kennedy administration had the CIA over throw him in favor of a military dictatorship. Kennedy was killed, These same men created the false flag event at the Gulf of Tonkin. This highly publicized event never happen. This fake news story was used by the government to move the US into the Vietnam war.Mr. Roesch’s book on the subject is due out in the spring of 2018. In it he traces the documented history of the lobbying efforts and political contribution of big oil which led to the Vietnam War. The conflict cost the lives of over 50 thousands young American veterans in combat and tens of thousands more killed themselves once home. Other damages included the crippling of over 75 thousand young Americans destroyed lives of millions of other young people. Sadly there were also three million men, women and children brutally murdered defending their homeland in Vietnam from the invading American Army. It was a truly evil stain on America’s political history, perpetrated by some very evil politicians. Millions of young Americans recognized the evil and resisted. They were beat, jailed and some even shot dead. They are the true American heroes of the Vietnam war.C{c
