It was an 83 Chevy Nova. We called it a Toy-Let because it was made by Toyota and Chevrolet. I was 16

Fully loaded 2005 Chrysler 300C. With a 5.7L Hemi V8. It was my dream car.Purchased in September of 2013 for 8,250 dollars. About a month after my 18th birthday.I worked my ass off to pay for that car.In January of 2013 I had a whopping 6 dollars in my bank account.In 2013 I was still in High School. But second semester I only had two classes. I would get to school around 9:30 am, leave about 12:00 pm and go straight to work.I graduated in June of 2013 got an increase in my hours and by the time I went to purchase the car in September I had about 15,000 dollars.It taught me that hard work comes with reward.This is it 4 years later lowered on Coil-overs. Sitting on 20 inch 12 spoke wheels. The side molding is gone as of today.Most people don’t even know I own it. Its treated like a baby. Doesn't have so much as a smudge in it. Nobody believes its 13 years old.It really hasn't cost me any money. Other a front end brake job and a couple sensors going the car has been a dream to own.This car holds a lot of sentimental value. But things change and I’m probably going to be selling it soon. That’ll be a sad day.

95 Nissan XE pickup...was a pretty good little truck...just started having some problems with the cataletic converter right before I traded it...and it was the Purple Passion...or the Barney Mobile as some people called it...

a 1993 nissan altima, I still have it after 14 years! I like it even though its old, its very comfortable, good on gas, reliable, nice leather interior and power everything-even the seatbelts are power so I never have to mess with putting it on,totally cool!

My first car was a 1968 Chevy Malibu that I inherited from my father after he had a bad stroke and couldn’t drive anymore. My old man only bought used cars and I think this was the only one that wasn’t blue. I don’t have any photos of that old beater. It was a really ugly greenish/gold but I loved it because it was my first car. It developed a couple of weird quirks: 1) The metal around the trunk lock rusted out and the lock fell off. I had to open the trunk with a long screw driver. 2) After a while the windshield wipers wouldn’t stop when the switch was turned off. I had to time either switching on the dome light or depressing the cigarette lighter with the ww switch to turn them off. I used to amaze my friends with that one.Eventually, as it approached 100K miles I got rid of it for a new Toyota Corona.Looked like this:

Ruth, - you sure have been around a long time!! My first car was a Ford Transit! and my first bike was a Lambretta Ld 125. As for bicycle, If I recall I think it was called an Apache or something like that - had solid tyres and I'm sure it was made out of tin-plate!!! .
What was your first car and how much did it cost?
In 1976 I bought a 1956 Chevy that had been sitting on the edge of a persons drive way for three years. I just stopped by one day while walking to high school and asked them if they wanted to sell. They said give me a dollar to make it legal and she's yours. I had to buy a new battery and do some body work over time but i drove that car for five years and sold it for six hundred when i was done with it.
