What Was Your High School Experience

What has your high school experience been like?

When I entered High school , my school was located on a college campus ( was on the campus for 3 years, I entered the school during the last year on the college campus). It was pretty great, we got to go to the college cafeteria for lunch. Also gym was located in a different building, so we got to leave our building for gym and lunch. I made lots of new friends during the year also, and what I loved most was having different teachers for different classes at different times each day. Also, I started to take public transportation

Sophomore year- Senior year - My school moved to a location behind the mall where I live. I had to take different buses to school, and we lost going outside for lunch and gym because they were now in the same building. Class time changed too, like everyday A block was at the same time, and B block was at the same time, so it got a little boring. I also became close to two other girls and we became great friends. Junior year was all about the SAT's and stuff and starting to think about College. Senior year, your going to do so much with College, and then there is Prom and everything. But I did get to go to Italy with my school, so that made everything seem great :)

Don't get into drugs and don't drink (most people around where I live do that.. :/), and you will make some amazing friends you will want to have for life!

BQ - I am in 12th grade as of now, I graduate June 28th and officially start college August 26th! Freshman and senior year were the best for me :)

What's your high school experience?

I love, love, love, love high school. Hahaa.

I've completely blossomed throughout my [2] years there so far. I've met so many new people, my grades have gone up -although they were always good, they're just so much better,- and I'm really "involved."

As for that last one: I do dance, social justice, track, environmental club as well as some other things too. I love it. It really keeps me going.

I've also got some awards over the past few years too -grade wise, sports wise as well as overall.-

Of course there's some bad too: some bad teachers, the occasional drama -although I'm lucky to avoid it most of the time,- and so on.

Overall though, I just really like high school and I'm going to be sad when I have to leave.

And if anyone here is just going into high school this coming year, I have a tiny bit of advice to you: Get as involved as possible; go out of your comfort zone; stick to your morals. With that, high school'll be fine!

Have a nice night! (:

What did you learn from your high school experience?

High school is where you build the foundation upon which you will build the rest of your life... Many of the skills and habits that will lead to your success (or failure) in later life are those that you master in high school.  Not that it is impossible to turn your life around after a wasted HS experience, but those who develop good "studenting" skills are going to be successful more often than not.  Those skills then lead to more success in college and then in life as well. So take it seriously and do your best always !!!  It is how you invest in yourself :-)

What was /or is your high school experience like?

I just got out of highschool a little more than a year ago. The most important thing I learned is that I didn't know how bad high school was until I got out of it. Yes, the "real world" is a lot harder, but high school does not prepare you for it at all. It's like a wall that shields you from the rest of the world.

1. my best year was probably 10th grade, I had the most friends and it was the most fun. best classes. my worst was my senior year, I was sick of school and wanted to get out. I ended up graduating half a year early though.

2. we didn't really have "cliques" but we did have groups of people with the same interests. I spent most of my time in the TV studio, a lot of the "band geeks" hung out there but I wasn't in band or anything.

3. my most memorable experiences had a lot to do with the classes that were interesting with lots of friends. if the class wasn't interesting, I didn't do too well.

4. I'm not sure what my most embarrassing moment was but one time I accidentally went to school with 2 different shoes on, but no one even noticed.

well, hope that was good reading material for you if nothing else:)

What should you expect to get out of your high school experience?

Oh man. GOOD QUESTION, but there is going to be no correct answer. It depends. Why? I’m glad you asked. It depends mainly on you. What’s your personally like? What do you like to do? What don’t you like? Etc.And quite honestly, you may not be able to answer not even one of those questions. That’s okay! No worries! That’s what high school is for. You’re gonna learn a lot… yes, math, history, art, etc… but most importantly you’re gonna learn so much about yourself you didn’t even know. You remember being a kid and you want to be a police officer? That changed like 12 times by the time you went to high school and it’s still going to happen! You’re gonna learn a lot, your body is gonna change but most of all the main thing is live life and enjoy high school. ENJOY IT. SERIOUSLY.Go to school, have fun and enjoy the ride. Don’t regret anything. Everything is now a life lesson.Welcome to class :)
