Why would graphic designers use animals as an inspiration?

Animals have distinctive personalities. Just tell me about values of your brand and I’ll probably find an animal or two that possess at least some of those values.Aside from that, animals together with other components of nature are extremely rich in visual details. That’s something passionate graphic designers are naturally attracted to.Adding to that is the fact of how vast and diverse the animal kingdom is, with the estimation for the total number of species on Earth being about 8.7 million (the vast majority of which are animals), and you get one of the most inspiration-providing ingredients that is being carried on our planet. As you might guess, I’m also guilty of getting plenty of inspiration from the animal kingdom as a logo/identity designer, which you can see in my portfolio.

As a graphic designer, how can I find good resources to inspiration and developing creativity?

Consider getting a subscription to Communication Arts.

Where do you get your design inspiration from?

I recently moved into a new apartment and can't wait to get decorating! It's more my home than the last shared-place I was living at. I'm restricted by a couple of things: MONEY! (I'm not wealthy and am saving up for an overseas holiday) and I cannot drill holes into the walls. But I love decorating and unfortunately I do spend an irresponsible amount of time traversing ebay and gumtree (australian version of craigslist) hunting for beautiful but affordable furniture. I've had some luck finding second hand furniture, but I'm interstate at the moment, so furniture hunting is on a pause for the moment.

While I'm interstate, I have been thinking about my walls and other little decorative pieces that goes into furnishing a home. I have a pinterest board where I collect ideas from others, but what are some other places I can go to for inspiration?
