What Were The Benefits And Drawbacks Of Jimmy Carters Status In Washington Dc As An

Besides the Iran hostage crisis, what other bad things did Jimmy Carter do foreignly?

Give away the Panama Canal, built with the tax dollars of the American people, where we arranged the freedom of Panama from Columbia in exchange for perpetual ownership of the Panama Canal and Canal Zone. It was totally legitimately the property of the America people, we paid for it, and paid Panama for it in perpetuity, and Jimmy Carter gave away the property of the American people to a tin horn dictator.Panama Canal - WikipediaHay–Bunau-Varilla Treaty - WikipediaThe treaty was negotiated in Washington, D.C. and New York City. The terms of the treaty stated that the United States was to receive rights to a canal zone which was to extend five miles on either side of the canal route in perpetuity, and Panama was to receive a payment from the U.S. up to $10 million and an annual rental payment of $250,000. Through legality, Panama never officially became a colony of the United States. Instead of full overbearing control, the Hay–Bunau-Varilla Treaty gave the United States governance only in the Canal Zone.[6]Torrijos–Carter Treaties - WikipediaThis first treaty is officially titled The Treaty Concerning the Permanent Neutrality and Operation of the Panama Canal (Spanish: Tratado Concerniente a la Neutralidad Permanente y Funcionamiento del Canal de Panamá)[1] and is commonly known as the "Neutrality Treaty". Under this treaty, the U.S. retained the permanent right to defend the canal from any threat that might interfere with its continued neutral service to ships of all nations. The second treaty is titled The Panama Canal Treaty (Tratado del Canal de Panamá),[2] and provided that as from 12:00 on December 31, 1999, Panama would assume full control of canal operations and become primarily responsible for its defense.A Man, A Plan;The unintended consequences of giving up the Panama Canal.The two Canal treaties–the first to guarantee the neutrality of the canal through American force of arms, the second to cede control of the canal to Panama over time–represented a perfect political storm for the right, argues the longtime New York Times reporter Adam Clymer in Drawing the Line at the Big Ditch. Ordinary Americans believed that kowtowing to the Panamanian military dictator, Omar Torrijos, would only further weaken America’s position in the world. Clymer makes the convincing case that the Panama Canal Treaties fight represents a watershed moment for the conservative movement, where it sharpened its tactics and vaulted itself into power.Jimmy Carter - Wikipedia

2 pros and cons to carters presidency?

PRO:
* Brokered the Middle East Peace Treaty between Israel and Egypt which still stands today
* He was honest

CON:
* He inherited a poor economy from years of neglect and mismanagement by Nixon and Ford and didn't make necessary changes (tax and spending cuts)
* Carter invited Robert Mugabe to the White House in 1980 and fully supported this dictator's rise to power in Rhodesia.

How come you never see a black (African American) person in a triathlon?

"It is 2011 we have a black President..."

Correction; we have a president (if you want to call him that) who is HALF black & half white. His mother was white.

The way he's running this country - he makes Jimmy Carter look like a conservative. See link below. National debt - up. Foreign debt - way up. Unemployment - up. "Hope & Change"? I have no hope left for this man & little change left in my pocket.
