Anglicisation or anglicization is the process of converting anything to more "English" norms. In this context converting in to English can be described as converting in to more modern lifestyle or westernize. I don't see anything wrong with that as long as the basic human values stays. The causes are just part of natural advancing or evolution.

It was hoped that the red apples would serve as a bright and cheery image of New York City, in contrast to the common belief that New York City was dark and dangerous. Since then, New York City has officially been The Big Apple.

Almost every race has a different god and religion. is it ok just to believe in a higher power than mortal?
In space , another realm ,wherever god is, if he is, there is a factual reality about who he is. Is Zues real? I mean really, does Zues, as described ,exist? Or the Egyptian sungod. Does he exist, as described? Or is Allah real? Or the Native American belief that everything was god? Or the Christian god? Or the mormons, they believe we can all be gods if we are good. Or the new agers who say god accepts them all as long as they are good. These are all very contradictory situations. It is inconcievable that they all exist. But if ,in fact, some supernatural power does exist then one or a combination of these is in existance for real right now. If you chose to believe in " a nice higher power" and Zues was god - I don't know Zueology very well - but, I think you might be in trouble. So ,(unless the everything goes god is real) it is important to get it right. Study and do your homework, this is an important decision. 1The frist major criteria would be age of religion. If God exists, he would have shown his ways to man very early in history. 2 Next would be size of religion. If God exists, it would seem that he would make it so most of us could get to heaven. 3 Acceptance for untaught people. Since no religion has been taught to every human being, If god existed, he would make exeptions for those people who never heard the right way. 4 Attainable. If god exists, he would make the requirments easy so anyone who wanted to could foolw his ways. 5 Forgivness. Since we are so prone to evil, god would have to make allowences for these failures. 6 Help! No matter what, there's no way we could get it right for any god without his promise to help us. Now comes my personal bias! I feel that Christianity is the most comprehensive plan of reconciliation of humans to God. It is an ancient religion, has been taught and embraced all over the world.It acepts anyone the way they are, and promises to better the person through god's power not your own bootstraps. It has a forgiving god, as long as you are trying. It requires nothing of you but acepting god's way. Many religions require a lot of work, but in Christianity, God helps you overcome your sins. Christianity emphasizes an enjoyable relationship with god more than any other religion. And, I would think if a higher power existed, that would be the whole point of a religion.
Why are French speakers so jealous of English speakers?
I think this is especially true in Canada. It is like this in France too. So the French can't even put English into business or television networks? It is like they discourage themselves from learning another language. No wonder why the French do as crappy and have as little confidence as the English with foreign tongues. French Canadians are paranoid their being overtaken when they should realize they already have. Montreal French is now as Anglicized than Acadian's and that is where your culture is supposed to come from. Even many of you sound like native English speakers when you speak English even when you aren't fluent. You are trying to fight for an identity you've already lost 1/2 of and your politicians have resorted to degrading measures and couldn't even follow through on it. All you Francophones are jealous that we can go where ever we want in the world and find people who speak our language at the snap of our fingers even if it isn't perfect. We don't even have to ask in the language of the place. We are practically the second language of the world. The only time we won't get help is when someone doesn't like us. Businesses won't say no though. The British and English speaking Canadians will at least guess when they speak French. We Americans won't even do that with Spanish nonetheless other languages. The fact is we Americans are more blunt. Besides most of us unfortunately not being international travelers, those of us who do just know we have it made. If we learn it is because we want to - not because we have to. You'd be lucky if 1/3 the amount of people could speak your language. You can't even go to a country like Italy, Spain or Portugal which has a similar language to you and see people who speak your language more than English. Much more technology is made in our language too. Why be jealous? There was a time when your language was truly the international language. That time has passed. There was a time when we had to learn your language so now it is time for you to do the same. And even if the Chinese get wealthier than us Americans - our language will still be the lingua franca because of the difficulty westerners would have with learning Chinese. Your language stayed on top despite England being a wealthier nation than France in most of the 19th C.
