What Will America Be Like In A Few Decades

How will America look in the next few decades?

I’m sorry to say that I feel a larger gap between rich and poor, a dwindling down of the Middle Class, higher taxes at all levels of government, fewer jobs due to robotics and other technology, large immigrant/refugee neighborhoods in our cities, crime-ridden cities and rural areas, and most of all a complete lack of faith in government, corporations, religions, and life itself.

What will society look like in the next few decades?

I have no idea, but if 1970s clothing styles return, I’m going to have myself euthanized.rick

How will America look culturally in the next 3-4 decades?

As we all know, America is a country with diverse cultures, people all around the world comes into this country.and they get the chance to act their own culture, like their home, So we can’t pinpoint which culture America will finally settle. But we can honestly say America doesn’t have one central culture, is a free country where you can do what you want is a country with open arms, the people’s culture is what is currently happening or what is interesting at the moment, like what is trending.

What do you predict about America in the 2020s? Will society be more or less the same in the next decade?

The tech stuff will change - VASTLY.The human face will be less malleable. (Consider what the word means, something that can be hammered. If you try to hammer people you do not get reshaped people, you get dead people: or you end up being the one that’s dead !) So, boys will still be boys, girls will be girls, men men and women women. And the “don’t knows” will be just as ignorant. Technical changes will help very little with the enduring problems. Some problems will continue. Consider the pensions problem. Will the politicians come clean on the lack of funding, or will they continue to kick the can down the road ? (No, and Yes) So the America of the 2020s will be that much closer to fiscal meltdown - unless the Donald turns out to be a much better politico than his predecessors. BUT of course, it is a known fact that he is a complete wanker, so such a change cannot be considered. So the prospects are not good. But then, when were they ever, anyway ?I shall be ten years older. My sight is failing already. By 2028 I will probably be unable to see the confirmation of my prognostications, but what will it matter then, anyway ?Peace and hugs.

What do you think the USA would be like in a few years to decades later?

Unfortunately, I believe the forecast looks to be a bit gloomy.

We will see a continuing downward spiral in morality. We will become so desensitized to the filth, violence, sexual immorality, and lack of value for life so that we will essentially become a nation of cold, senseless, heartless and uncaring people.

Our country will become so politically and socially polarized that there will be a second civil war on American soil.

I believe we will experience another major terrorist attack in our country.

I believe we will finally experience the BIG earthquake that everyone's been waiting for.

Our country will become so ethnically diverse and overrun with illegal immigrants that there will no longer be an American heritage and the American History books will be rewritten to fit the politically correct society we live in.

We will be at war with some country or countries in the Middle East.

And unfortunately, I believe America will someday no longer exist due to a nuclear holocaust that we got ourselves into.

Maranatha, come Lord Jesus!

Why has offshoring increased over the past few decades?

With the blue laws, the USA can't be 24/7 globally competitive in business, finance, manufacturing and exporting with the rest of the world. With the blue laws the USA only runs business 9-5 Monday to Friday and all closes down for religion on Sunday's.

This is why US company's and business's are relocating and off shoring overseas, to remain 24/7 globally competitive with the rest of the world where business, finance, manufacturing and exporting runs and operates 24/7.

The easiest way to explain this is, if you go to a store and it's closed, you go to another store that's open for business to buy what you need, and spend your money. US business can't survive with only being able to operate 9-5 Monday to Friday. They have to drop there blue laws so they can be 24/7 competitive and open for business.

Since all religious US Americans refuse to have the blue laws removed, US business's have no other alternative but to close down and move overseas or offshore there work. When it's Sunday in the United States, it's Monday here in the most strong economy's, financial banking and stock markets, manufacturing, product producing and globally exporting countries in the world.

Overseas we never close down, when it's Friday in the USA, it's Saturday evening and the USA's business day finishes early Sunday morning. If the whole world adopted the business and financial practises like in the USA, the US wouldn't have no business. Even Canada, Mexico and South American countries run business 24/7 to be globally competitive, with all global country's.

The same thing also has happened with US tourism, nobody no longer wants to go there as a tourist destination when there discriminated, harassed or panhandled by religious people and can't buy a beer, go clubbing, punt on a horse or play the slots, and everything closes down on Sundays.

You should drive across your country and see it for yourself, the empty factory's and mom and pop stores, ghost towns, people begging, tent city's, closed down roadside gas stations, resorts and fun parks, B&B's and motels it's not pretty.

Is San Francisco what the rest of America will look like in the next few decades (demographically, culturally, socially)?

I am not so sure the entire America can survive without the corn of Iowa, the oil from Texas, the fish from Alaska and the meat from Nebraska. Taking down the banks in New York will hurt a lot of people, investors and hedge funds as well. How about Boston and in fact a big part of the north east with its hallowed ivory towers and some of the most prestigious universities? There is only so much you can do with a software. You cannot eat it, drink it, ride on it, cannot even touch it. So if you are talking about the software hub aspect of San Francisco, then the answer is no. But if you are talking about ever so bright entrepreneurial spirit of the bay area which attracts some of the most brilliant minds in the world, then certainly I hope so.
