What Will Happen To Norway Without Oil

What happens if I cook a cake without oil?

a million. purchase a cake... 2. or use an oven thermometer with the door propped open to work out in case you could administration the temperature that way - by using having the door propped open a undeniable volume. it could take some experimenting to work out how lots you ought to prop the door open, plus you will ought to rotate the cake greater often with a view to prepare dinner calmly. 3. yet another ingredient to do is to attempt a water tub... place the cake pan in a baking dish of warm water to work out if this is going to prepare dinner calmly with out burning the backside. 4. You grow to be the oven controller (on/off change), as somebody reported, the place you take a seat and watch the thermometer upward push to temp. for the duration of the completed baking technique. you ought to quite like your coworkers in case you are trying this one... lol... 5. the midsection grow to be cooked so do no longer circulate away in oven as long... attempt halfing the baking the time, yet verify the midsection with a toothpick. 6. Trim off the blistered area and coat with frosting... assuming something of the cake does not flavor burned. Frosting makes each thing seem extreme high quality, point and soft... albeit your cake would be a splash smaller. :-)

What would happen if oil ran out?

properly that's the reason oil expenditures bypass up, because their is way less of it. in truth, the international has a honest volume of oil left because the widely untapped u . s . a . of Venezuela contains vast oil reserves (no longer to point Canada). That aside inspite of the undeniable fact that, there are some issues that ought to/ought to take position. a million) we are able to objective to make our own oil as scientists are starting up to do through turning flowers instantly into oil. 2) the international economy will shift dramatically from the shortcoming of this great marketplace. or 3) we are able to learn the thanks to generate potential in numerous manners, which include by using fusion potential, it truly is a kind of nuclear potential that generates potential through fusing atoms extremely of ripping them aside. Scientists say that it must be right here through 2020, so (realistically) it may well be handy for sensible applications round 2030. it will be a hell of a transition, yet when finished magnificent it ought to educate to deliver about a a lengthy way extra proper way of existence. different then that, we ought to apply extra image voltaic or wind potential (which will want great improvements to be sensible), use hydrogen gas cells to potential our autos (that are eco-friendly, fairly sensible, and useable at present, yet aren't to any extent further economically powerful on the time in accordance to experts), and some different procedures i won't be able to imagine of now or i do not understand. So... in short: we will ultimately do extra proper if we do not kill one yet another from monetary insanity more desirable Questions/motives?

What would happen to the world without oil?

Clarify do you actuary mean the physical world or human society. do you mean if it suddenly ran out right now or in 100 years. It's really hard to answer without you clarifying.

We’ll never run out of oil and gas completely. At some point, the remaining petroleum reserves will be so difficult and costly to extract that it won’t be worth it, and all production will come to a halt. When will that happen?Norway has already reached peak oil, the point in time when the total volume of oil production stops increasing and starts decreasing. This happened in the previous decade. We’re already past the golden age of the Norwegian oil industry and we’re entering its final phases. Some say the Norwegian oil industry will be phased out shortly after 2050. Others say it will happen much later. This depends on three things:Advances in enhanced oil revocery. Initially, it was projected that we would only produce 17% of the oil in the giant Ekofisk field. Current projections, because of advances in technology, are around 70%. New advances could extend the lifetime of the entire industry.New discoveries. In 2010, the giant Johan Sverdrup oil field was discovered on the Norwegian continental shelf. It has just gone into production and will likely produce oil for several decades. A new find like that could also extend the lifetime of the industry.Rise of renewable energy. If solar energy and other renewable energy resources become commercially viable, this could seriously threaten the oil industry, especially combined with environmental-friendly politics. Nuclear energy could also become a serious threat. These alternative energy sources could shorten the lifetime of the industry.

What will happen when the world runs out of oil?

The answer to your question relies very so much on when it runs out. At the reward there is no good alternative to oil and now not so much on the horizon (though i am definite optimists will disagree with this). The timing will affect whether or not enough vigor from substitute sources can fill the void. It should be cited that Hubbert argued that the fundamental threshold shouldn't be when provides are exhausted but when height creation is reached. At this factor our growth is no longer subsidized by way of cheap power and with out replacements, development will gradual. It is absolutely right to argue that for the earlier 200 years this oil subsidization has allowed us to transform hydrocarbon energy into humans - that low-priced oil has fueled human population progress. If you consider about what the vigor is used for, this is sensible. So one final result of jogging out of petroleum is a likely decline within the human populace measurement.

Drove my car with no oil, what will happen now?

At the very least you'll want to have the cam shaft and rod bearings inspected. Checking the cam shaft is pretty easy but getting into the lower end is a major operation. The engine may sound fine now but there's a good chance it won't last long.

Problem is now that you let them clean up the evidence so to speak you're going to have a harder time collecting anything. The proper thing to do would have been tow the car to another garage take pictures and then notify the people at Mister Car Wash they have a problem.

In your place I'd demand the engine be inspected for damage from oil starvation, if they refuse have it done elsewhere and sue for the cost. If indeed the engine is damaged you stand a far better chance of collecting sooner than waiting till problems show up. Act now or forever hold your peace.

Years ago I worked at a gas station where one of the mechanics did pretty much the same thing. The owner of the car brought it back oil dripping all over the place and my boss had his goofball son tighten the oil filter refill the crankcase (4 quarts leaked out) and then had the engine steam cleaned. They told the girl who owned the car there's nothing to worry about.

Long story short the motor started knocking a couple months later and the owner of the car came back after taking it to another mechanic but it was now way too late. Bossman told them to take a hike. Her dad tried to sue in small claims court but lost.

Problem was my boss convinced the judge that if the engine had been damaged by "briefly" running it with a loose oil filter the knocking would've showed up right away like within minutes and here weeks had passed. He also hinted that perhaps the car might have been subject to abuse. Total bull but that's life in the big city.

Dead oil, the Norwegian welfare model, and The real problem(1) The oil age is deadStop playing around with oil price 'fluctuation' predictions and marginalizing of the crisis. The bigger picture is:Saudi-Arabia has announced the end of the oil age. By 2040-2050, the country will have emptied its oil reserves, with max output each year. The income will be reinvested to become the reigning solar power of the next generation. The oil price will stay low, as the market will always have enough oil. Other oil nations must follow Saudi lead and go for any production that can pay the bills.(2) Norway's welfare model is work for all - driven by oilNorway not only built its fortune on oil. It has relied on oil and gas for employment of its most productive work force.    Lower oil prices make new fields (especially in the North Sea) unprofitable to operate. Almost all new projects are now closed down until further notice.    As new fields are closed down, investments into oil and gas related industry comes to an immediate halt.    Investments into oil & gas are the drivers of employment. No new activity, no need for new workers. No investments to pay for people's salaries.(2) The real problem is unemployment, not lack of incomeThe oil dependency is far more than an income statement issue. It is one of the entire infrastructure of a nation. Build around oil & gas investments.    Oil & gas business is the cornerstone of many communities around Norway. As the main cash-flow into a community economy dries up, even a short-term crumble of a cornerstone can make a whole community idle. What now, Norway? So, now is the time to act. To work on the next generation of work post oil. We now have tens of thousands of people with hands, minds and heart ready to put to this challenge. They are the unemployed. Used to face big challenges. I, for one, put my trust in them.#inYOUwetrust   #WeCanDoIt

What happens if you drive a car without getting the oil changed?

This is no emergency. Actually, you could just keep driving it like this - BUT...

The engine will wear out sooner.

Engine oil is critical. It lubricates the moving parts inside the engine and helps to conduct heat away. During normal operation of the engine, there is a small amount of "blow by" from the burning fuel in the cylinders which contaminates the oil (thats why it turns dark). There are additives in the oil for cleaning and to counteract the acids in the engine but they will wear out in time. Running on the old oil which is contaminated and without the additives will cause additional wear.

$30 to have the oil and filter changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles is a cheap investment in keeping your engine running longer.

My current vehicle has 344,000 miles on it and still runs well. No, it's not perfect but most similar vehicles went to the junkyard a long time ago.

What happens to the car engine if there is no oil in it? I just notice a leak got it fixed, but Im nervous.?

Honestly, it messes up alot of things. I know because i did it once and then almost messed up my camaro b/c of not changing it frequently. On my first car, the engine just made a horrible rough sound and pretty much seized up and wouldn't start again. Now on my camaro (98) I had to tare into the crankshaft and replace it along with the lifters and whole nine yards, very spendy $$$$$ and time consuming, especially when you let someone else other than a mechanic do it. I wouldnt suggest it. I ended up spending over 1500. in just parts and found out once it was all done, it wasn't done right!!! So i had to buy a used engine, (1000) and have a mechanic put it in, (400). Thank God i had just got my tax return other wise i would be taking a bus. But becareful with used engines, its been about 6mo now and I think one of the lifters is bad on this one. IDK, but good luck, dont worry yourself until you know for sure, and dont spend money you dont have to. GOOD LUCK
