What Will My Daughters Final Height Be

My daughter got her first period and she is 9?

She got her first period today I'm confused... I got mine at 11 as I remember. She is 5'5 , but I guess it is normal because I reached my final height at 12 when I was 5'6 1/2 , and my husband was 6' at 13 and he is the same height. Can it be genetics that made her grow and get her period earlier? Because there are no signs of syndroms in the blood tests we made her. I'm actually worried still?

What can be the final height of my 10-year-old daughter if she is 141 cm?

According to this chart from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, I’d say around 177 cm (5′8). This will depend on factors such as the amount of food she gets, the quality of food she gets, and her parent’s heights.

If my parents are 5.3 then what will be my final height?

You are a male so you will grow upto 5′5″ tall , if lucky you will grow upto 5′7″ .See hieght depends on 60 to 85 percent on your genes . If lucky, you have 40 percent of your hieght depending on your efforts of exercise and diet. It may happen that you may stop growing after you reach 5′3, because of your genes

What will my final height probably be if my father is 172cm and my mother is 159cm? I am 14 years and 8 months old and 168cm?

Your grandparents and cousins, their race and your sex should give you enough ground for conclusions. So far you haven't specified any of that input data, so all the guesses of the Quorans are just guesses.

If the dad is tall, and the mom is short, then what will be the height of their first son?

This isn’t scientific, however, I have heard a theory. It does work out quite oftenIt comes from the mothers side. If the mother is taller than average, then the son will be the same amount taller than average than the father. If the mother is shorter than average, then the son will be the same amount shorter than his father. So … my partner is about 4 inches taller than average, and our three sons all ended up the same amount taller than me - they are six foot 5.I saw an example below where a mum was about 3 inches shorter than average, and the son was about the same shorter than his dad.Of course, I’ve seen lots of cases where this isn’t true either. Generally, if you measure the height at 2 years, and double it, you get the adult height.

What can be the final height of a 10 year old girl of height 4'8?

You’ve only told us your age and height. Age will have little to do with your height, and your current height could indicate a late growth spurt, late puberty, or just short stature. It’s also difficult to predict when I’ve no clue of what your parents heights are, or when you started puberty (if you have). Most females at age 10 in the US are 4′6.5″, so you’re currently 1.5 inches above the average height. At this age, females are generally prepubescent, so they haven’t began puberty yet. If you have started puberty already, you’re an early bloomer, and you’ll stop growing before the average female, because early bloomers typically have faster development. The average female in the US stops growing at ages 14 - 16, so that’s age 15 on average. Most of the time, they also stop growing 2 years after their first period. So if you’re an early bloomer, expect to stop growing at ages 12 - 14 instead of the average age range of 14 - 16. That’d mean you’d likely stop growing at age 13, so you have roughly 3 years left of growth, and within those three years, you’d likely gain 3.0 - 6.0 inches, and that’s an average of 4.5 inches, putting you at 5′1.5″. It’d be 3.0 inches if you’ve finished your growth spurt, or 6.0 inches if you’ve just started your growth spurt. If you’re average, then you haven’t started puberty yet, meaning you’ll probably start puberty at age 11, and grow until ages 14 - 16 (average is age 15). In this case, you’d have roughly 5 years left of growth. From ages 10 - 11, you’d probably gain just 2.0 inches, because you haven’t had your growth spurt. At age 11, your growth spurt should start, and it’ll on average, last two years, and females generally gain 2.5 inches per year in those two years, which would put you at 5′4.0″ at age 13. Then your growth rate will decline, and decrease by about 0.4 inches each year until age 15. So you’d grow 2.1 inches from ages 13 - 14, putting you at 5′6.1″. Then in the last year (from ages 14 - 15), you’d gain 0.7 inches, putting you at 5′6.8″. So if you’re average, your final height would be around 5′6.5″.

If the mother is 5'2 and the father is 6'4, how tall would their daughter likely be?

The general rule is to take the average of the parent's heights and then add 7cm (2.75 inches) for the height of a male child and subtract 7cm for the height of a female child. This will only ever give an approximation since there are many genes that affect height and nutrition and exercise will also have an impact. The age that puberty starts and finishes can also have a major impact that differs between genders.Your example suggests the daughter's height would be around 5ft 6 and a quarter inches.

What is the old wives tale where you double a childs height to find out their adult height? What age do you d?

This is a more accurate way:

There is actually a formula some go by that can be pretty accurate. It says to add up the parent’s height and divide by two to get the average. Then for a girl subtract 2.6 inches and for a boy add 2.6 inches. That means that if mom is 67 inches tall and dad is 73 inches tall, making the total 140 inches, the average is 70 inches. This would make their daughter approximately 5′6″ tall and their son approximately 6′0″ tall.

P.S. Not only do I THINK this is more accurate, I HOPE it is. If you double my son's height at 2yo, he will only be 5'2"!!! Using the formula, he will be 5'9"...much better.

Can your doctor predict your final height and what do you estimate will be my final height?

Can your doctor predict your final height? Given all my information, such as parents' heights, and height at age 2, and other information can she/he make a realtively accurate prediction to my final height. Also, what do you think my final height will be. I am a 16 year old male and currently I am 5'7", although my parents are relatively short, my mother being 5'3, and my father, 5'7, men on my moms side of the family are tall, my grandfather is 6'1, my uncle is 6'1, and my cousin is 6'0. I have a healthy lifestyle, sleep at least 7-8 hours nightly, don't smoke or drink, and incorporate lots of protein and vitamins in meals. One point of concern I'd like to address is I have not grown since age 14. I believe I will likely have a late growth spurt. Also at the age of 2,I was about 3 feet tall. I was generally a tall child, but after age 13, my growth slowed.
