What Would Be A Good Daily Workout Regimen For A 20 Yr Old Girl

What's a good daily workout routine for a 13 year old girl?

It really depends on what you are working out for, to lose weight, build endurance, or just be generally healthy...

To lose weight, lots of cardio, (getting your heart rate up and maintaining it,) ie running, jumping rope, climbing stairs. anything that makes your heart beat faster, you start burning calories once your heart rate is maintained at a certain level for 20 minutes, And slight muscle training, lifting low weights for muscle growth, each pound of muscle you add increases how many calories your body burns with cardio.

To build endurance you want to stick with low weight lifting and running, push-ups and sit ups, builds stamina.

To be generally healthy, just play outside as a normal 13 year old would, run, climb, walk everywhere, and cut out sodas replacing them with water, even drinking the same amount of water as soda can help, for every 20 oz soda drink 20 oz of water.

What is a good daily fitness regimen for a 60-year old man?

I'm 62 years old, and I can answer this question. I am very fit, but my methods are not suitable for all old folks. It took me six years to reach my goal. I am still working on it. If you are still healthy with a normal heart and own a good pair of lungs and your knee joints are still working, then I suggest the following:Change you Lifestyle!Daily walking and gradually changing to a brisk walk.Change of your nutrition to consume only fresh food.Avoid extra sugar in your food.Cut the junk food and processed food and drinks.Sleep on time, based on body's "biological clock," or 24-hour cycle (circadian rhythm).Reduce daily stress. This program will get you ready to train with some strength training routines. That is where you build a stronger core and more mobility and flexibility. If you are overweight, obese or having medical issues, visit with a Medical Doctor before any change of lifestyle.Thank you.**Mansour’s disclaimer:**Don't do anything stupid and get hurt lifting big weights after reading some of my answers. This would make us both quite unhappy. Consult a **Medical Doctor, a Strength Training coach, and common-sense specialist** before doing anything you may read in some of my answers.

Is this a good daily routine for a 14 year old girl?

I wouldn't skip breakfast.. it's very important to have breakfast it starts your day off and gives you enough calorie energy. And I suggest that you eat every two hours at least to tie yourself over.. maybe stick with eating healthy things and on the weekends you can cheat. I also suggest you go to bed earlier, and get 8 hours of sleep because sleep will effect your overall health. Also, eat your food slowly because you will feel full and don't over eat on anything. You should also check your BMI, and BMR and find how many calories you have to eat to loose weight and how many calories to maintain your weight. You should exercise and burn more calories than what you eat.
It's good that your active, but if you do light exercises you wont strengthen your heart and muscles as much. Maybe do some moderate cardio workouts once a day for 40 minutes to an hour.

What's a good workout routine for a 14 year old girl?

Doing an effective whole body conditioning workout
can be done entirely at home without any fancy equipment. A couple of
dumbbells is all you will need. (Even if you don't have dumbbells
there is usually something lying around the house that is heavy enough
to substitute in for them).
Here is a list of 20 exercises you can do right in your own home for
a great whole body conditioning workout.

Exercises:

Group 1:

Bodyweight Squats
Bulgarian Split Squats
Y-Squats
Prisoner Squat
Reverse Lunge
Step Ups
One Leg "Get Ups"

Group 2:

Push Ups
Push Up and Point
Mountain Climbers
Decline Push Ups
Push Ups/Stick Ups
Step Up and Press
Squat and Press

Group 3:

Plank
Side Plank
Curl and Press
One Arm Rows
Bird Dogs
One Leg Deadlifts

Pick one exercise from each group and do them all back to back for a
mini circuit of 3 exercises. Do each exercise for a timed interval of
10 seconds for a total of 30 seconds per mini circuit.
As you get better at them work up to doing each exercise for 20
seconds for a total of 60 seconds per mini circuit.
Take 30-60 seconds rest between mini circuits.
For beginners do a total of 3 mini circuits to start. Working up to 4
or 5 as you get better at them.
Once you're ready to move to the next level add a second mini circuit
by choose 3 different exercises (one from each grouping). Do your
second mini circuit with the same time of work to rest ratio as your
fist.
If you feel you are already at an advanced level you can add one or
two more mini circuits up to a total of 4 mini circuits. These 20
exercises are just an example of what is possible, there are dozens
more that would work in this mini circuit style, you can incorporate
any exercise that you like into these mini circuits. This style of
workout is a great complete whole body conditioning
program you can do right at home in under 45 minutes.

I'm also 15, and I do all of these, not together on the same day, of course. I alternate between leg day and ab day. Now for things you can do NOW....
you can do simple exercises such as curl-ups, but you wont see any results unless you do them SLOW. Slowly inch your way up and down. There will be a burn but it speeds the muscle building, fat burning processby so much. Do all your weight training or stretching slowly. otherwise you will be useing momentum which doesnt help.
Try going on a walk/jog in your nieghborhood or on a tredmill. start by walking briskly for 5 min, run/jog for 2. walk for 3. run/jog for 2 ect. try this for a half hour.
there are things u can do at home like lunges with water bottles, bench squats and more.
do you like music? pop in a cd or listen to your ipod and DANCE without a break non-stop for 2 whole songs. THIS is an AMAZING cardio workout plus its fun! music makes everything better and more fun!
when its hot enough to go swimming, try swimming laps in the pool. its great for your body. dont forget to drink water because even though your in the pool, you can get dehydrated.
any more questions? add me as a contact and ask some more! i am act_up
