What causes pain in the left side of your stomach after dancing or running?

The pain sensation in the left side of your stomach after physical activities/workout session is due to amount of blood flow to the Gastro Intestinal (GI) organs decreases as it is diverted to the working muscles. There are also changes to the rate of gastric emptying and hormone levels. Abdominal muscle contractions and increased diaphragm movements may also contribute to GI symptoms during exercise. To mitigate these symptoms mainly involves reducing the contents of the stomach during exercise. Meals should not be eaten within 3 hours of exercise and what is eaten should be low in fat and protein. If further treatment is needed, antacid medication may be helpful in reducing heatburn and upper abdominal pain. Antacid medications are usually effective for 30 minutes. Does diabetes cause pain? The left side near my stomach hurts. Is it my pancreas or my liver?

What is Diabetes?

It is a disease that affects the body's ability to produce or respond to insulin, a hormone that allows blood glucose (blood sugar) to enter the cells of the body and be used for energy. It results from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. In diabetes too much glucose stays in the blood. Elevated levels of blood glucose (hyperglycemia) lead to spillage of glucose into the urine.

As a result of elevated levels of blood glucose, two problems occur: body cells become starved for energy, and, over time, the high glucose levels can damage the nerves, eyes, kidneys, heart and blood vessels.

Diabetes is not an infectious disease, like a cold or flu. You can’t "catch" it from someone else, and no one can catch it from you. Diabetes is a lifelong disease.

Men with diabetes often have erectile dysfunction which can begin before the diagnosis of diabetes is made. It is therefore recommended that men with unexplained erectile dysfunction be screened for diabetes with a fasting blood glucose test.

Symptoms of Diabetes?

Symptoms include:

excessive thirst
excessive urination
infections (thrush)
extreme hunger
unusual weight loss
extreme fatigue
irritability
nausea
vomiting
sweet smelling breath

Dont really know about the pain that you are discribing. You might want to go and get checked out by a doctor with more knowledge of diabetes and stomach ulcers and things like that.
