What Would It Take To Work With Piercings

Can I take my lip piercing out for work every day and put it back in after? Will it close and what would you suggest?

First. I appreciate the other two answers but I disagree.I have snakebites, two lip rings. So I’ll pretend I’m an authority on it. Haha. I work in a job field in which I COULD wear them but it allows people to shove their opinion about them down my throat, and while I don’t care what they have to say in the least bit, it’s gotten really old over the years and I’m not allowed to tell them that I don’t give a rats ass so they’re wasting what little time they have left telling me.So I regularly do not wear my jewelry for weeks. And then I just pop em back in and go on with my day. I’ve had these piercings for at least four years though. If you’ve had your piercing for at least a year I’d say you could be fine doing this. But way to find out is to start taking them out at home for increasing periods of time and then put them back in. Please don’t store your jewelry in any solution. All you need to do for your piercings once they’re well healed is wash your hands and jewelry with antibacterial soap and keep your face clean. So it boils down to how long have you had the piercing? The tunnel that your jewelry goes through is scar tissue. Or it will be after long enough. Once that scar tissue is built up and set you can go longer and longer without jewelry and still be able to insert it. And you can always bring jewelry with you and pop it back through for a bit if you feel unsure. It takes years but it’s possible

Can you have piercings if u work at the Dollar Tree?

I don't know for certain, but I would take it out anyway to be safe. Most stores are fairly accepting these days, but you don't want to give them any reason to deny you the job.

If you are hired, ask one of your coworkers or your manager if there is a company policy regarding piercings - or, better yet, ask at the end of the interview.

I have to take my piercing out for work! is it to soon to take it out?

You can buy these plastic looking things, there piercing retainers, and they go in the hole. Try and find one of those before thursday, check everywhere. If you can't find one, order one online! Even check tattoo/piercing shops in your area! They arent expensive, and you can't see them at all. It just looks like the hole, thats it. They're perfect for jobs, because yours is too soon to take out.

If worse comes to worst, take the piercing out and on your break, put the piercing back in the hole for a few seconds so that the hole remains opened. Do this any chance you get, and wash it regularly when you're working so no infection starts. Remember to wash the jewelry before doing this too. Do this if you can't get a retainer right away.

How long after you get a daith piercing should it work with migraines?

There is no actual evidence that says it will. Daith piercings have not been shown to offer consistent or effective treatment for Migraine attacks. The only information out there relating the two is anecdotal at best as there have not been any scientific studies that support this treatment theory. But they sure look cute!

What can I do other than take your facial piercings out for culinary school/work place?

I’m in a culinary program and we can’t have facial piercings unless it’s taped but tape looks dorky on my double nose piercings on the same side. Ones a ring and the other a stud. Are there any super easy to take out jewelry? Or better looking tape/bandaids for covering them? The balls are too small for me to unscrew for every class.

How long does it take for your nose piercing to heal?

It depends by what you mean "close up" and how long you've had the piercing. If a piercing is fairly new, once the jewelry is removed the pressure on the walls of your piercing from your jewelry is gone, so the piercing wil start to squeeze closed. This could make it difficult to reinsert jewelry into the piercing within minutes. If there is an issue with reinserting the jewelry on your own, a reputable body piercer should be able to get it in for you without too much issue if you get to them within a day or two from the time the jewelry was removed. If you wait longer than a few days to visit a piercer to have the jewelry reinserted, then your piercing may have already started healing closed. This is because a new piercing that is less than 6 months old (or even up to a year) is still healing, so when the tissue squeezes down and the sides start touching each other, they will start connecting and healing closed. If a piercing has been there for a while, like a year or so, then you may be able to remove it for brief periods of time. How long really depends on your specific piercing and body.An important thing to note is that removing and reinserting jewelry into a piercing, even if it is healed, can lead to irritation and issues with your piercing. Now, if you were talking about removing your piercing because you don't want it and you want it to heal closed. Then no one can really predict, because different people with different diets and in different climates will heal differently. Just remove it and keep cleaning the inside and outside for a bit to make sure you're removing anything that may accumulate by the piercing and it should eventually close up.

Why do people say piercings are immature?

How many working-professional adults keep their piercings? Or, does everyone take them out eventually? Your thoughts...

I'm 21 and I have 3 piercings tongue, nose and belly. I'll be graduating college next June and hope to become a teacher. Will I be forced to take them out? I love my piercings and sure would not want to.
