What should my friend name his cat?

We named our new cat (Profile picture) after a character from Disney Channel. I see a lot of people that have named their cat off of something from a T.V. show or a movie. But, when a child names the pet it would be like fluffy, mittens, socks, you know like something to pertain with their appearance to the fur. By the way, that way is the wimpiest way to go but, choose as you must. My parents came up with a GENIUS name for their cat before I was born, and i think nothing can top it. They named it C.A.T but when you say all three letters as one word you hear “Seeatee” (See-ae-tee; if you can’t spell and read). Anyway, its up to you! My Pastor has a cat and named him Malachi witch is one of the books of the Bible, I found that neat too.

Would it be ok if i named my cat Lucifer?

Does your cat call you by name?

Does my cat call me by name? No because cats don't speak language like humans. When my cats want something they say, “ meow”. Why was this question changed from the original one? Which was, “does your cat know it's name? “ My answer to that question is yes, all my cats know their names.

What’s your dream cat? What would you name it?

Every cat that enters my life is a dream cat, and I figure out what his/her name is by watching him/her. I have never picked out a specific cat in my life; all my cats are rescues, and I’d swear that each one has picked *me*. Sorry it doesn’t answer your question in a more meaningful way…

You know why you named your cat. What do you think your cat named you, and why?

My first cat, Radka (a Siamese-tabby mix), I’m pretty sure I was “Mommy.” I adopted her as a teeny kitten and she used to suckle my fingers and I trained her using a lot of “cat communication” techniques.Yitzhak, my sweet blue-point boy…when I adopted him last year, I was 90% sure my name was “Jeeves.” Or whatever cats would call their butlers. We seemed to cohabitate more than anything. I adore him, of course, but he’s quite picky and very clear in communicating his likes and dislikes. Plus, he was an adult when I adopted him. A year and a half in, though? I’m sure that I’m now “Mine,” like anything he’s determined he’s fond of. He’s really come out of his shell and blossomed. He chides me when I come in late instead of barely seeming to notice I was gone. If I’m not wearing my favorite hoodie, it’s his bed. And he’s even started to demand cuddles before he’ll eat his meals, which is a very recent development but I adore it. He’s still skittish at times, but we’ve bonded quite nicely.
