Should I peek at my Christmas presents?
My parents still have a few of my presents to wrap because they're waiting until they get the rest of my presents (they're finishing up Christmas shopping for EVERYONE tomorrow). I know exactly where the presents are "hidden" because my mom told me (she said don't go in the upstairs closet, your gifts are in there). When she first set them down, some were in plan view and I saw them by accident when I went up to my room to get dressed (they were kinda in the middle of the hallway). I only seen a couple bags, but I don't know what's inside either bag, or what else there might be. So what do you guys think? Should I go sneak a peek, or should I keep being good and wait? Would it be bad if I did peek? Thanks for all the feedback!
Not giving Christmas gifts as punishment?
I know this happened a month ago, but I was thinking about this and wondering about opinions on this. My seven year old nephew was not given any Christmas presents this year because "he has been bad." Now I know Christmas isn't about presents, but here he is on Christmas morning sitting there while his brothers (who have not been perfect angels either, by the way) open their presents. This just seems horrible to me. Now, he may very well have acted badly. I don't really know what he did. But he is seven! I just think there are better ways to help him learn to behave then not giving him a Christmas present while the rest of the family does get them. However, I am not his parent, and it is probably unfair of me to criticize them. Any opinions?
What to get my dad for christmas?
my dad is distant, he doesnt show much emotion and lets just say i am not his favorite kid, he thinks i dress like a whore and that i am shallow and mean, he never lets me out, i know he means well... ithink, but we were never close and i really want to change that, i know he loves me but he thinks i am spoiled. and im honestly not. anyways, he likes fishing but i want to get him a gift from the heart, 50 dollars or under, he is 45 and it should either be funny or deep, any ideas?
My Dad just died, what should I get my Mom for Christmas?
You know how all our Moms say "Oh I don't want anything, don't worry about me" every year?! Well I really want to get my Mom something nice this year. My Dad died in February and since then my Mom's health has gone down a little. It's mainly her back, neck and feet that bug her and I want to get her something that will comfort her pain to make this season a little easier on her. I have 8 older brothers and sisters who get her the obligatory photo albums, socks, blankets,ointments so that makes it hard to compete with them. Plus everyone in the entire state of Utah just happened to know my Dad and so they're already sending a bunch of stuff to my Mom. Any ideas? One again I'm thinking of something to help her back, neck or feet. P.S. not a massage chair, heated blanket or foot spa...any other ideas would be so helpful!
