Whats A Good Hbo Series

Whats a good TV Series to watch?

Watch 24 on FOX!
I know that you got a lot of responses to this question, but this is the
answer that you need to listen to. Trust me, 24 is awesome.
It has everything that you could ever want in a TV show.
Drama, action, romance, suspense, great irony & really good plot lines.
But I will warn you, it's addictive. I love it 'cause there are so many
twists & turns that you never saw coming.

They finished up the seventh season in May, & the new season starts
in January. But you could probably find all seven seasons at Block
Buster, or watch it online. I don't know if you know anything about it,
but it's all in real time. Each season is one day. Each episode is one
hour. There are 24 episodes in a season.... You get the point.

It's basically about fighting terrorism & about a really awesome main
character named Jack Bauer. He's like my favorite super hero ever.
(even though he doesn't technically have super powers, but sometimes
I wonder. lol)

It's not the kind of show where you can just start watching at any point
& still know what's going on. You have to start from the beginning, or
at least the beginning of a season. And the first season is good, but
don't judge the whole show just by the first season. Keep going after
that. (If you start there)

Every season is unique in it's own way, but once you watch the entire
series, you'll find that it's really one big fantastic story. And that's one
of the main reasons why it'll keep you hooked. Plus it makes the
progression of each character really fascinating to watch.

It comes on Monday nights on FOX. (when airing) CHOOSE 24! Seriously.
I've seen a lot of TV shows, & it really is the best. After you've seen a
few seasons, (if it takes that long) You won't ever like anything as much.
But I can't explain it as well as the links below can. So you really should
look at those if you want a synopsis or any other info.

Well, I hope I could help. And I hope I could convice you. Because
whatever any one else tells you, 24 is the show you need to watch.
And if you ever have any qusetions about it, just email me via my
profile & I guarantee I can answer them.

Where can I watch the HBO series Girls online?

What's the story with the name Treme -- the title of HBO's new series about New Orleans?

That's a good question -> it's a pretty obscure name for such a high-profile, big-budget drama. The New York Times provides good color in a recent review: David Simon’s new HBO series is called “Treme” and the title alone suggests the difficulty of the subject. Treme doesn’t rhyme with ream; it’s pronounced truh-MAY, and it’s the name of an old New Orleans neighborhood famous for music — and, in some parts, for crime. It’s the kind of area sought out by intrepid travelers eager to bypass the tourist traps on Bourbon Street, the kind of place that guidebooks label “authentic.”It’s a title that serves as a warning: people who say it wrong have no right to be there. “Treme,” which begins on Sunday, takes place three months after Hurricane Katrina, and it is a tribute to the “real” New Orleans by filmmakers who have become connoisseurs of the city, depicting its sound and ravaged looks with rapt reverence and attention to detail. The narrative chronicles the efforts of an eclectic group of locals — among them a trombone player, a chef, a civil rights lawyer, a disc jockey and a displaced Mardi Gras chief — as they struggle to repair their lives after the storm. But mostly, their stories follow the music, the real hero of the tale.Source: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/0...I would speculate that David Simon -- the creator of Treme and the former creator of The Wire -- chose the name and HBO felt compelled to go along with him. Given Simon's success with The Wire, I'm sure he has an enormous amount of creative and marketing control. I doubt it was HBO's first choice.

On the HBO series The Wire, they sell a drug called WMD. What is it?

I've watched for several years. The dealers use different names for each product for merchandising purposes, like car models Falcon, Barracuda, Mustang, Malibu.
WMD is just a timely term.

What's the best case to be made that HBO will beat Netflix?

HBO's key strength has always been their original content - case in point, Game of Thrones, Deadwood, Entourage etc and it was far and ahead the competition when it introduced no ads.Netflix offers a bunch loads of content, well... except for most of HBO's catalogue and they don't even give away their latest shows on their online streaming service (HBO Go).Best chance? - HBO Go gets the same stuff as they do on their TV channels, HBO is willing to do the short term painful move of cannibalizing their TV sales for future growth and reinvesting further in winning content. Also, leveraging on their existing network globally to launch their growth strategy effectively.Unlikely the case since most executives are compensated on yearly performance and therefore this usually promotes short term views and nobody is really playing the long game anymore.Chances are slim unless HBO innovates - content/distribution/business model - again. It's sad but they're starting to look like vanguards of the status quo and we know what happens to all of them...
