Whats A Really Good Aftermarket Stereo For A 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Speakers in my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse?

I have JBL GTO 920 6" x 9" speakers, Will they fit in place of the speakers in the door of my car? I don't know what Kind of speaker is behind that plastic, so I don't have a clue what will fit.

They look almost identical to this, But instead of being 3-way they are 2-way.

If these won't fit in the door will they fit in the back seat speaker place instead?

Car seat for 03 mitsubishi eclipse car?

i have an eclipse also and my son just recently turned 7 months so i know where you are coming from!!!!!!!!!!

Ill just tell you my plan so maybe you can get some use from it! i haven't researched convertible car seats yet so i don't know much about them. I am pretty sure that they are all pretty standard as their sizing goes though!

My plan - keep him in the infant seat as long as possible!! Im hoping he will stay in at least until 8 months! he's about 19 pounds now so we will see. 9 months would be even better!! Anyways switch him when he reaches the limits and Not before! Then for the next few months (until about one) keep the seat in the middle and just climb back there to get him and put him in and stuff. It'll be a pain but won't be for long. Then when he's about one im gonna put him on the side and forward face him and i really don't see much of an issue. maybe just having to climb in the foot space to buckle and unbuckle.

Aren't we lucky with our cars?!?! :) haha. Good luck!

Is a mitsubishi eclipse a good car?

i own an eclipse and it is my first car. i absolutely love it and it is an awesome first car, don't let anyone say anything different. i owned a nissan for a little while before my eclipse and it fell apart and was a huge piece of junk. but i don't count it as my first car cause it didn't last long enough to be counted-it lasted about 2 wks. my car has 150000+ miles on it now, and all i've had to do to keep it running is change the oil and simple maintenance. my car runs smoothly and sounds great, especially for it's age(mines a 96). if you didn't know any better you would think it was a brand new car if you just drove it and heard it run. i would not trade my car for the world and i've told my husband that we can only have one more child(i have a little boy already) because my car only has two back seats. i love it more than anything.

Difference between a Mitsubishi Eclipse RS and GS?

The second generation eclipse GS came with premim trim such as the high trunk wing (also known as turbo wing) a very nice stereo (until the heater made it too hot) OZ rims (I preferred the weak ones on the GST but please don't buy em its true they warp!) leather interior, rear defogger and moon roof along with fog lights. They both had identical engines that could be tweaked but it takes lots of cash to get em to fly with the big boys just don't go too far with the tweaks if ya live in California or else it will not pass smog due to the fact it was a bordline smog output engine that is very fickle about tweaks which was something my dealer conveniently forgot to mention.Good luck with your search.

03 Mitsubishi Eclipse Radio Install?

It can be done; it's only slightly trickier than the average car.

If yours is equipped with the factory Infinity amplifier (not all are equipped) then you have two options: bypass the amp or integrate it.

If you plan to keep the stock speaker system, then your best option is to integrate. This simply requires a special wire harness adapter: http://www.amazon.com/METRA-70-7003-MITS... You'll need to pick a new CD player that's equipped with front and rear pre-amp outputs.

If you plan to replace the speakers, you'll need to bypass the amp. This doesn't require running new wire to each speaker; you just have to run new speaker wires to the factory amplifier location (under the passenger front seat) and connect them to the factory speaker wires there. (Be sure to disconnect the stock amp first). If you bypass the amp, you'll be limited to four speakers; you'll probably have to give up the stock tweeters and the center-dash speaker. This isn't normally a problem if you're using decent 2-way speakers in the doors.

I want to make my 2nd gen Mitsubishi eclipse faster what can I do that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Faster for zero dollars…Remove the back seats and their safety belts.Remove the passenger seat. Rig the safety belt and weight sensor.Remove all interior trim plastic, insulation, carpeting, including the dashboard, glove box, cup holders, and everything in the trunk.Remove the spare tire, jack, and mounting hardware. Replace with fire extinguisher, hehe…Remove the radio, speakers, wires, etc.Remove the air conditioner, disconnect the belts and remove the pulleys and all associated mounting hardware. Might require a custom belt. You see where I'm going with this, right? Weight reduction is huge, and cheap. You can easily take a quarter to half second off your time this way. You can verify this by going and looking at real race cars — they won't have any of that stuff I said to remove. Don't need it.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Steering Wheel Audio Controls Help!?

well sir i to have a 03 gs eclipse and i know the buttons you speak of and rely on them heavily due to traffic and such.

Recently i have noticed mine started acting glitchy and such so i turned to a friend who has some knowledge on the subject, he said that when they were designed they weren't done so with great detail and that constant use of them hurts them, also different temperature changes as well so i asked wat to do and he said you need to take the steering Wheel off due to the wire going down through this though i think you can reach them through the bottom of the wheel...he said check for any cuts in the wires and then check the connections on both ends...he is a well respected mechanic at our local Nissan Factory and he said they do alot of work on Mitsubishi's due to their similar design...of course i have yet to fool with mine yet so i cant honestly say his method is the correct one...if anyone besides me has a better solution pick theirs

Are the mitsubishi eclipse 2001 and 2003 gt girls cars or guys cars?

It depends, if you consider a 'man' car to be any car with a massive V8 that has to displace for what he is "lacking," if you know what I mean, then no, but if you consider it to be a good-looking, reliable, sporty car, then yes.

Don't worry about what anybody else thinks about your car. Get what you like, and if that car has low miles, then that's a good deal and I'd go for it. And believe me, the only people who I've had call MY Eclipse a 'girl's car' are Honda owners who can't get any with their car because they drive a shitmobile, and Mustang owners because they're pissed that they can't keep up.

I've seen girls AND guys driving 2000-2005 Eclipses, hell, call it a girl's car if you want, because all the girls seem to love it, not to mention who's driving it. Try doing THAT in a Honda. ;)
