Whats Green Mile Story

Is the movie "The Green Mile" a true Story?

No it's based on a Stephen King story.

Is the movie "The Green Mile" a true story?

no, not at all.

Whats the moral of the Green mile,,with tom hanks?

There actually is a moral to The Green Mile and it is the same moral in all of Stephen King's movies and novels and that moral is that good overcomes evil in the end. In The Green Mile, john not only takes care of Wild Bill but also Percy who was just as evil as Bill, but he was supposed to be serving the law. Bill ends up dead and Percy in the insane asylum, unable to hurt anyone again.
Paul also had to answer for killing John. He did not want to do it, but it was his job. His having to live and watch as all of the people he loved die was a punishment for killing the gift that was John.
I have read almost everything that Stephen King has written, and this is the moral he uses the most. That good overcomes evil, whether it is the common man getting one over on the greedy corporate world, or the hero of the story overcoming the nasty, creepy creature.
Stephen King is a genius!

What is a better story The Green Mile or Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption?

Other than both being set in a prison and dealing with being falsely accused of crimes they didn't commit, that's pretty much where the similarities end. "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" is more realistic without any supernatural elements, and is told from the point of view of a prisoner. "The Green Mile" has the supernatural elements of John Coffey being able to heal people (and mice) with his hands and is told from the point of view of the prison guard, Paul. There is much more going on in "The Green Mile" that takes place outside of the prison. All that being said, I like "Rita Hayworth" better, just because it has a happier ending.

What is the movie The Green Mile about?

Death Row guards at a penitentiary, in the 1930's, have a moral dilemma with their job when they discover one of their prisoners, a convicted murderer, has a special gift.

Paul Edgecomb is a slightly cynical veteran prison guard on Death row in the 1930's. His faith, and sanity, deteriorated by watching men live and die, Edgecomb is about to have a complete turn around in attitude. Enter John Coffey, He's eight feet tall. He has hands the size of waffle irons. He's been accused of the murder of two children... and he's afraid to sleep in a cell without a night-light. And Edgecomb, as well as the other prison guards - Brutus, a sympathetic guard, and Percy, a stuck up, perverse, and violent person, are in for a strange experience that involves intelligent mice, brutal executions, and the revelation about Coffey's innocence and his true identity.

What is the movie The Green Mile about?

A former prison guard, Paul Edgecomb, is in a retirement home, and begins to tell one of the elderly residents his time as a prison guard on death row. A big African American man, John Coffey, is put on death row as he is accused of raping and killing two girls. Paul is intrigued, as John is sensitive and shy, and he finds that John has an incredible supernatural gift.I won't say any more as to not spoil it, but in case you were interested, the title's name is describing the walk from the cells to the electric chair, which is painted green.
