Whats Some Good Hair Products You Can Buy At The Dollar Store

Are the hair products at the Dollar Tree/99c store safe?

Shampoos, conditioners, hair growing products...all that stuff a person can put in their hair...
Are they safe?

I know I can buy some of that stuff at a normal hair salon, but still. Can they be linked to health problems? Is there a reason WHY they are only a dollar?

What products are okay to buy the dollar store version of?

Shampoo, mouthwash. Both somewhat diluted but come in a smaller package.Cookies.Tools made with metal, such as screw drivers, putty knives, etc.Cooking items, dishes, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, etc. Though Walmart will sell many of these items for 88 cents.Greeting cards. Packing tape if they have it.Food is generally overpriced relative to quantity.I do most of my shopping at Walmart and Aldi. Dollar stores are mostly for shampoo and cold / flu medicine.

How can people who rely on food stamps afford to buy hair products and makeup?

You can qualify for food stamps for a million different reasons that might cause your income to drop below poverty level for a short or long time. Food stamps allow you to keep your stuff during periods of financial difficulty without having to make the choice between selling your house or car and buying food, they can help you maintain your lifestyle whatever that might be during times of insufficient money. Why not ask how farmers who receive farm subsidies can afford new pickup trucks? Farm subsidies and food stamps are part of the same government program, they are there to smooth out the bumps and make life easier for both farmers and regular citizens.

Parents, have you tried Dollar Store cleaning products...?

There are very few things I buy name-brand anymore. The generic stuff, for the most part, is virtually identical. There are certainly some that are garbage, but most of them do just fine.

About the only things I haven't found a decent generic replacement for are Febreez and GooGone. And my laundry detergent, but that's more because I tend to break out in hives when I try to switch.

Is it safe to buy food from dollar tree store? Why is it so cheap?

If you come to Japan you will not go to the 100-Yen-store if you don't like the dollar-store in the US. But the 100-Yen-store is favorite among the Japanese. And in fact, dollar-store is the original model of the 100-Yen-store. It is developed from the marketing concept that if people come in they will buy all they want in the same store. So they are goods which the prices are set at wholesale price or discount price, but some are more expensive. But they don't sell big things to make customers feel cheap. The goods in dollar store will be small things such as 50cents or 80cents at most.If they sell it for 55cents, customers won't mind anyway. The goods are mostly available in the market elsewhere. If they are toxic, or expired or bad ingredients, it will not be because it is sold at the dollar store. The Wal Mart is done the same thing, by promoting sale.It does not mean that they sell some bad things.Go and shop it.It will save you a lot. But buy the only goods you already know the price and quality.

Are Dollar Tree skin and hair products safe to use?

A2A Requested by: Sharada DeviAre Dollar Tree skin and hair products safe to use?I’ve used shampoos and body washes purchased from Dollar Tree before, and I haven’t experienced any ill side-effects. My guess is that this is due to the health and safety regulations imposed on all personal care products, regardless of their manufacturer.Apart from the overly generic “dollar store” brands, Dollar Tree also has national brand items too (Herbal Essences, VOS, White Rain, etc)However, just because they’re safe, it doesn’t mean that they’re the best thing you can use.

How to buy personal lube from dollar store?

You could use light olive oil, if you are not having sex with condoms, if it's just for masturbation. The light, because it doesn't smell so olive-oily. Most types of oil are okay to use in that area, and vitamin e oil. People actually use it if they have dry skin down there, too.

If I buy sex stuff, I either go to the sex store, because I'm not a minor, but if I'm just buying lube or condoms I can go to the local grocery store and run through the self-checkout.
The first time I bought lube, I bought it from a pharmacy type store, and it was completely embarrassing, because the person checking me and my now ex, out, was having a friendly conversation with me until my now ex set down the lube, and then she was completely silent.

I'd be too embarrassed and avoid it at your age, honestly. Maybe you can find an older friend to help you get lube?

How do DOLLAR STORE'S work?

As a previous poster said, often the stuff is overstock from other stores. Other times, it's actually damaged goods (I was in a dollar store once and saw Dell Crossword books, which normally are $5, selling for $1 because something had happened in the printing of the covers, and the covers were all messed up, but the puzzles were fine). Other times I've seen bestseller books that whoever had opened the box accidentally ran the boxcutter down the seams of the books, so the bookstores couldn't sell them.

But, some stuff isnt' as cheap as you think. I was buying some household cleaning products there for a while until I realised that the packaging was 1/2 the size as in regular stores, and the price didn't reflect that (i.e. a 220 ml bottle was selling in the regular store for $1.99, but a 100 ml was selling at the dollar store for $1 - you're actually paying more for the dollar store one).

Also, I bought a bunch of stuff for kids lootbags at the dollar stores, then went to a party place and found the same stuff, packaged 4 to a package for only 3 times the price. Definitley know your prices going in.
