Whats The Best Running Shoe For Me

What is the best running shoes??

The brand isn't as important as the type. The 3 basic types are:

Motion Control: usually for Heavier runners who tend to pronate severely (pronation is the rolling inward of the foot s you strike the ground)

Stability: for the average runner

Cushioned: for the lighter, faster runner or for the runner who does not pronate enough.

Also, you need the right shoe for what you are doing; don't run in tennis shoes or play basketball in walking shoes. (I know this is obvious, but you'd be surprised what people do.) Don't use cross trainers unless you are primarily lifting or using elliptical trainers & stationary bikes.

Finally, check out Runner's World or The Running Times. They each do shoe surveys that are quite helpful.

Oh, one more thing - I buy from Road Runner Sports on line; they rate and categorize shoes for you and carry all major brands. Me, I need a motion control shoe, so I use the Brooks Beast. I love the Brooks line.

What is the best running shoe for men?

I want to start exercising but I need some shoes to run in. I plan on running at least every two days as a start, and eventually run everyday as my body adjusts. But more iimportantly, I want to know what the highest quality of shoe there is on the market right now. If anyone could give me some opinions that'd be great. Thank you in advance!

What are the best running shoes?

Ok Here's the thing. All you need is a great pair of running shoes. But here's the catch...the price may be expensive but that may be more for your benefit. If you go to a basic store that sells shoes, don't count on them to tell you which kind is the best. Chances are, they are just going to tell you to go with the most expensive shoes. Running isn't all about your feet however, your knees pay a big part on shoe decisions.
If you have pronation of the knees that can dramatically effect your back, quads, and a lot of other muscles in the body. Pronation is when your knees go outward, inward, or not at all.
--knees go inward or outward---you may want to invest in a pair of shoes that have gray shading in the arch of the shoe that is shown on the outside. That means that it will give you more support on where you need it most.
--slightly heavy-- you want to invest in a pair of shoes that are mostly, if not all, cushion. The impact on your knees could damage your back, so it is important. Asics is the best cushioning shoe.
--flat footed-- you may want to go with a shoe that raises your heel up. You can tell this by having shading on the heel area. Also by having inserts put in, that always makes the running impact so much better, especially on concrete.
--high arch-- you want to also go with cushion. Each shoe should have a specific design for the arch. Also put in inserts.
--bad ankles-- if you go to your orthropedic doctor, tell him that you have bad ankles and he will order you some lateral heel wedges. You should just order these on your own and save he sitting fee. What this will do is elevate your footin a way that it will be harder to roll your ankle. It took me 8 ankle sprains to realize that i should use these.

Best running shoes for men?

I recently just asked this but my question was deleted before I could save the answer I really liked. For Christmas I want to get my boyfriend a new pair of running shoes. He currently has New Balance and they are falling apart so I'd like to try a new brand. I wanted Puma, but none of the shoes appeal to me. Plus, the colors are ghastly. I would like a simple running shoe used for jogging and walking comfortably. What brands (ones that preferably aren't too flashy in color) do you guys recommend? Links to a specific shoe would be a tremendous help, too!

I also believe someone told me a specific Nike shoe that when I looked it up, I really enjoyed, but I can't remember what it was called. So any input on a good Nike shoe would be much appreciated, but I am open to any and all running shoe suggestions.

Which is the best running shoe in india?

Long distance road running, trail running and sprinting all will require different shoes. I can answer for road (tarmac) running. The “in India” part of your question can be skipped as most of the big brands are globally available.Coming to the “best” part, again, this can get very subjective depending on your preferences. If you are new to running, I would say the way you run will be more important than the shoe you wear. Forefoot, mid-foot strike is important for being effective and reducing injuries. You can learn this from youtube videos and from RUN FOREFOOT - Less Pain, More Gain with Forefoot RunningMany runners start running with heavy padded shoes and tend to fall into heal striking.. which leads to injuries (mostly knee) further leading to blaming the shoes.Go through Running Shoes for Forefoot Runners . They have listed shoes (and provided reviews) that facilitate forefoot running. They have shoes from brands like Asics, vivo, mizuno, Nike, sauconi, merrel, vibrant, etc. Do not buy them directly online. Go to their branded showroom first and try the once you liked. Only then decide.Asics is a safe brand: If you don't want to do all that (a few brands on the site might be difficult to track in India), go to an Asics showroom, they study your gait and pronation and provide you with a pair that matches your running style. Asics is a safe brand to go with when it comes to running.Decathlon provides good quality under budget: In case you want cheaper yet good quality options, go to a decathlon showroom. They have a range of running shoes with detailed descriptions of their usability. They also provide high quality running clothes at much cheaper rates then the other brands.Priyanka Durani's answer to What are the best long-distance running shoes available in India?

What are the best running shoes to buy?

New Balance are the best shoes you can get. They will provide you with the best support and are orthopedically the best available. They will help your back and legs as you use them...you just need to figure out what you want them for and what your exact foot size is. They come in many different sizes to match your foot width. They don't just come in one or two width sizes. Hope this helps.

Best running shoes for women?

It actually depends on your feet and if you are a neutral runner or if you overpronate or supinate. I attached some links that may help you find the shoe you need. Also find a running shoe store in your area the one I go to puts you on a treadmill and they have cameras on it to see how you run so they can recommend the best type of shoe for you.

Best running shoes for track?

My son starts track soon. He’s still growing so his knees sometimes hurt. He’ll run the mile and relay. He isn’t a fan on the spikes so we’ll just get regular running sneakers. What’s a good brand that would be best for track?
