Whats The Chances Getting Hired With The Usps Score Of 73.10

I scored a 78 on my 473 USPS exam. Do I have a good chance of getting hired?

Depends on your rank against other test takers. I worked for the USPS in 2005 as a Part Time, On Call City Carrier. My score was so high, I was the 2nd person to choose assignments. I chose a place only 30 miles from my house. There were a lot of other people who would need to commute 2-3x that distance. As for the job, I left for something better a few months later. I could work 3-4 days one week, then not work for 2-3 weeks. Couldn't take another job. If you say "no" can't cover work tomorrow, you will be in deep trouble. They only day I could work another job was Sundays. Being non-union, bottom of the heap at the USPS sucks. No guaranty it will ever advance.

How do i increase my chances of getting hired by the USPS?

Hi Steve B:

I would hang on to your job with UPS until the economy returns to normal. This is not the time to make a career change without first making sure the change will be for the better. As the other poster said, the Post Office has been having MAJOR budget problems for years and I don't think it would be wise to try to get on with them.

Why are you wanting to leave UPS?

This is something you need to answer honestly if you are going to have a successful career change.

Why do you want to work for the Post Office?

A lot of people do a change because of finances or boredom. If it is a financial thing, hang on to your present job and look for other income sources. If it is boredom - make a list of what you like or dislike about your present job and the one you want. If you don't handle a career change with caution, you will be wanting several in the future and will not find your career passion.

What do you want to do for the post office? Maybe you can find a similar position in another career? Take your time and pay attention to what is going on around you and you will move forward on a positive note and will look back on this journey as one of self discovery. Never give up on your dream job, but find ways to get it maybe in a different way.

What are my chances of getting a job with the United States Postal Service?

People who have no health insurance would want to. Nobody will be forced to take part in a government program just as nobody is forced to go to a public school. There is no basis (other than the Reagan and Bush administrations doing everything they can to make it so) to believe that publicly owned companies are inherently poorly run. The best airline in the world is majority owned by the Singapore government.

I want to take this in a different direction. I worked at BK when I was 16. If it taught me anything, it taught me to get a freaking education so I never have to work there as an adult. After school, after football practice, I’d drive to BK and do my shift (closing) so I’d get home about 1:30 to 2AM. My friends were at home studying. I was flipping burgers and cleaning that impossible broiler for minimum wage. Here’s my advice. I admire your desire, but don’t do it. Don’t trade your study hours for minimum wage. Study. Get the best grades you can. Apply your work ethic toward your education. Get into college. Take out loans if you have to. Then, you will have a life of prosperity.Don’t work for minimum wage at 16, struggle on tests and end up sacrificing your chances for college.I was fortunate. Military, which then paid for college. It took me longer than my peers, but I got that degree. Looking back on my 16 to 18 life, that little money didn’t actually do anything for me long term.

I'm not quite sure if this is exactly what you want but... my friend worked as a contractor for Lynda.com and she really enjoyed the whole 'learn it yourself' spirit of today's online courses. She showed her interest and her abilities while under Lynda.com and when LinkedIn bought the company, she became a full time employee. So I'd recommend just working hard and showing the company you believe in it and believe in its mission.

Ah, the golden question! To increase your chance of getting a job, you need to be a stellar candidate on all fronts—especially when the interview comes around. Make sure you’re professional and cordial—someone who can interact well with clients, as well as someone who meshes with a company’s culture. Your online presence should follow suit: Clean up your social media profiles so there isn’t anything questionable on there.Another way you can increase your chances of getting a job is with a sharp resume that’s focused on how your experience and skill set make you a perfect fit for the job. Hiring managers will be concentrating on that the first time they review your resume all the way through to the final interview. It’s the first point of contact they have with you—it’s what can get you in the door—so put the time and effort into customizing your resume per the job description. Finally, having a solid all-around reputation can give you an advantage over the competition. In every single job you have, be sure to bring your best self to work every day. Work hard, help others, and be the kind of person people want to be around. That way, when it’s time to ask for a letter of recommendation, people will be eager to help you out.

This year , i appeared for joblana test for getting job in field of mechanical engineering. I booked joblana test and started to prepare from various online platforms . I got overall 99 percentile in joblana test which help me to get interview calls from different companies. Finally , I get job in reliance group. Some of my friends also took joblana test but they can not score so much of good score and get less no of interview calls. Some of them get placed and some are looking for job till now.I will recommend that getting job basically depends on your capabilities. More , you score in these tests, more you will have chances of getting hired.

From what I have heard, set 1 was difficult. So your marks will increase and may reach upto 75. Looking at the last few year trends your rank will be around 600–700.Although call depends on number of seats in a PSU. You will get calls from IOCL,BPCL and maybe one or two more PSUs. Converting IOCL is little difficult if your rank is above 400. BPCL is all about communication skills and how you handle your GD and interviews. Selection ratio is 10:110 students. So I would say prepare well for the interviews. Bpcl doesn’t consider your rank once you are shortlisted, it is all about how well you present yourself infront of the panel. Prepare well for case study as only 5 out of 15 students will get selected mass elimination occurs in the case study itself. Then there will be technical and HR interview each having 50% elimination.I know few friends with a rank of 580 and 650 they converted BPCL call. You might also get HPCL. NTPC,ONGC and IOCL is little bit difficult.Prepare for your interviews extinsively. Let me know your rank after results. I will help you out with the GDs and interviews. I will share my interview transcripts, when I do get time as it will be another long answer. Hope it helps. All the best :-).PS- This is valid only for general category students. For OBC you can get selected upto AIR 1200. For SC,ST students you can get selected if you have a rank under 4000.

What is a good USPS Exam 473 Score?

A perfect score is 100. You may be called to interview for a PSE position but honestly, your score is not really that high. You also have to consider that you may be up against Veterans that get 5 or 10 points added for the preference laws.

I wouldn't give up all hope, but don't pass up something else waiting by the phone.

fir3bu1k is both a liar and a thief whose only purpose is to grind his ax against all things and all people that are the US Postal Service.

HAHAHA!! See what I mean?

What follows is deliberately tough. Don't take it personally. If you are applying for a job requiring a security clearance, I have one piece of advice for you, which I cannot emphasize wholeheartedly enough:BE 100% HONEST ABOUT EVERY SINGLE THING; DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT FUDGING, EXAGGERATING, "ENHANCING" OR OTHERWISE DEVIATING FROM THE COMPLETE, OBJECTIVE TRUTH ABOUT YOURSELF IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAYYou think the government is going to allow you access to classified information, but isn't going to actually check every single aspect of your employment history, not to mention your personal history? If so, don't even bother applying; you aren't cut out for a security clearance requiring career. I'm not kidding here; worse for you to obtain, and then later lose, a clearance because of dishonesty than to never have obtained or qualified for one. Clearance is very easy to lose. One other piece of subjective advice - stop blaming BofA for your failure. You made a mistake; own it. BofA is a multi-billion dollar, quite successful bank that hasn't experienced a massive failure rate for their tellers owing to some kind of badly overlooked training program. And people make mistakes - but in certain careers, and in certain functions, they wind up ending a job when discovered, irrespective of motive. This I know because my stepfather, after 30 years of service at a "white shoe investment bank" was forced into early retirement because of a single mistake. If it's true - and only if it's 100% objectively true - you can say "I inadvertently cashed a check I shouldn't have and I was terminated as a result in accordance with bank policy." But if your actions were interpreted by literally anyone at BofA as being deliberate or a gross failure, you'll need to report that accurately.
