Whats The Going Rate For Cleaning A 6 Bedroom And 4.5 Bth House I Would Clean The Bathroom

What is the cost involved in building a bathroom in India?

The estimate is generated for a single bathroom as a separate entity from the building, its assumed that foundation is already constructed for it and tried to find the most economical bathroom construction considering roof is not concrete. water tank is assumed to be fitted over the house. It might have missed some item so please feel free to add. In general bath room size is 2.1m X 1.2m and height would be 2.5 to 3 m approximately. So Quantity will be Brick work (2.1*0.2*2) + (1.2*0.2*2) = 1.32 Cu.m (0.2 is wall thickness and 2 is for both side)Plaster inside and outside (2.1*3*4) + (1.2*3*4) = 39.6 Sq.mWater proofing bellow the tiling (brick bat coba) (1.2*2.1*0.3) = 0.756 Cu.mGI sheet / Cement sheet roofing (2.3*1.4) = 3.22 Sq.m  Tilling can be done up to a height of 2m or full wall also so the quantity for full wall tiling will be (2.1*3*2) + (1.2*3*2) = 19.8 sq.m One tap for mixing water (Hot + cold) = 1 One shower = 1One Nahani trap/ Greet trap =1Plumbing pipe = approximately 25 running meterNow the Rate (as per local market pune) including material and labour cost Brickwork = 1.32 Cu.m * 80 Rs = 105.6 Rs Plaster = 39.6 Sq.m * 80 Rs = 3168 Rs Water proofing = 0.756 Cu.m * 108 Rs = 81.64 RsCement sheet =  3.22 Sq.m *37 Rs = 119.14 RsTiling 19.8sq.m * 15.5 Rs/sq.m = 306.9Mixer 1 = @ Rs. 900Shower 1 = @ Rs. 450Trap 1 = @ Rs 150 Total = approximately 5281.28Increase this amount by 10 % for contingency = Rs 5810/- or 93.94 $ (I am too lazy to give all amounts in dollar) Water proofing and slope of flooring tile is a prime important. The water should not seep as well as should be easily carried towards the trap.  Solar water heater can be easily connected to mixer to mix both hot and cold water as per need.

At what age does it become inappropriate for parents to bathe or shower with their children? Or having them see you naked in general?

As others have said, this partly depends on culture differences, but...It can also depend on other factors.  I'm a mother of two boys and two girls.  The first boy still took a shower with me when he was three, but it stopped before he was four; I can't remember exactly when.  It was my choice, even though there were not issues.  (Note: I bathed my infants safely until they could sit up, and then they'd take showers with me.  Whereas either my husband and I rinsed them in the shower a few times, we avoided that, since really it's potentially dangerous.)Then my second boy, who is four years younger than the firstborn, showered with me until he was around two.  He was simply too curious and touchy.  He started bathing with his older brother, but that soon came to and end as well, because he wanted to touch the older brother.  So I had to talk to him.  I'd have to bathe him separately to get him clean.  Besides that, the then six year old boy had already reached the age—for him—at which he didn't want to be seen naked nor wanted to see us that way.  The younger boy is now 8.5 and sometimes shows up in front of someone naked and doesn't make a big deal over it.  The two girls still shower with me.  One is six, and the other is about to turn four.  They sometimes take a bath in the garden tub, but they otherwise shower with me.  It's no problem.  I remember my younger sister and I taking a shower with my mother.  No problem.  We stopped sometime a few years before our teens.  As a teen, my best friend and I showered together whenever we'd spend the night together. No big deal. My girls are beyond taking a shower with their dad, but that was cut off around three.  He sometimes showers in the morning, in addition to the regular night shower, and the kids thought it was fun to get in, too.  The boys did when they were little, too.  They'd sit in there for awhile, then I'd get them out and dry them.  I wouldn't see a problem with the boys still showering with their dad, bit neither want to.  The oldest is VERY private, lol, and he's every bit as respectful to others' privacy.

What is the average amount of time housekeeping spends per room at a 5-star hotel to prepare for a new guest?

I work as a housekeeper in W Hotel in the center of London. It’s a luxury 5-star hotel. We have to make 14 rooms during 8-hour working day. So it turns out that we should normally spend about 20–30 mins on a Stay Over and 40 mins on Departure rooms. Professional housekeepers do spend about 30 mins on preparing a room for new guests. Unexperienced spend from 1 to 1.5 hours. This includes a long checklist from cleaning mirrors to arranging stationery. It’s a very difficult job and requires more than 30 minutes to be made without mistakes and leave housekeepers happy. Our housekeepers with 14 rooms daily feel mad, exhausted, tired and unhappy at the end of each day. So I think that management in luxury hotels should think not only about making happy their guests but also about making happy their housekeepers by increasing time on cleaning rooms and reducing number of rooms at the same time. 8 rooms per day in a luxury hotel would sound perfect! It is a well known fact that only happy workers can make their customers happy. Can an angry and tired housekeeper smile sincerely to guests? No. And this would not help hotels to build great reputation. I would add that the success of the entire housekeeping department depends on management, attitude towards housekeepers and workers’ salaries. Invest time and money in permanent training. Invest in modern hoovers and gadgets to work fast and efficiently. Organize teambuilding activities and build the team. Talk often with the team members and listen to their suggestions and problems they face. Give them SPA vouchers. Make sure every employer is happy and in return they will make happy every guest. Only this way your hotel will definitely blossom. Sincerely, after hardworking month in W Hotel I realize I hate it and would not reccomend it to anyone as a workplace, or for a night stay. For me, it is impossible to make good cleaning in 14 rooms throughout a day. Everyone in our department was unhappy but the management just did not care.

What are some good hostels for staying near ACE Engineering Academy, Hyderabad?

I have been there from July to March duration for my preparation. I spent nearly 5-6 hours find a hostel which has Maximum 2-3 person sharing rooms and some cleanliness. I was really tough, as I visited 10-15 Boys hostels/PG , but almost all were 4 or 5 people or in some cases 8 people sharing. They used to put as many beds that can be accommodated there , and that too the bed size was generally equal to a sleeper class berth in Indian Railways. Finally I reached Niharika Boys Hostel (King Kothi area, 100 meters from the ICICI & HDFC ATM) which was 5 mins walk from ACE, abids center. They had single sharing cabins (very small), 2-sharing cabins, and of course 5-6 people sharing also for normal size rooms.I settled down for 2 sharing. Since it was cabin, which was some what open on top. There were noise some time, but that was manageable. I stayed there for the full duration. The best thing I like was that the family who used to run that hostel was well behaved, they used to keep the hostel clean(unlike other hostels). Kitchen used to get cleaned everyday. The rent was approx 3500 to 3800 INR. Perhaps it might not be the best hostel, but surely I did not face any major issues like water crunch, or unhygienic conditions . I was OK for me.Somehow I managed to get AIR 50 and now whenever I remember those days, I feels good that those struggling days are over.PS:Anonymous, because some of my followers are not happy with GATE or ACE related contents on their screens.

Is there anything else I should do before I get my gerbils?

Gerbils will not die without a wheel! They will be fine without one, but gerbils do need exercise and you will find gerbils very much enjoy running on a wheel. The wheel you get is important. Do not buy a wire wheel as they can get their feet caught or tails caught and can break them off while running. A solid plastic "noiseless" wheel will hold up well for a while (not the flimsy plastic ones!).

As for your question, as long as they have food, water, some things to chew and absolutely NO plastic anything in their cage, you should be set.

Do make sure they are left alone for at least a day to de-stress. Once they become acclimated to their surroundings, you can start with letting them get to know you with your hand laying in their cage.

Otherwise, if the cage is set up and you have the right bedding and items, you're all set to get your two little ones! (Just make sure it's only two and they are the same sex of course). =)

If a plunger and drain cleaner didn't work, what options can I try to unclog a stuck bathroom sink before calling a plumber?

Generally, chemical drain cleaners do not work.  They can do a moderately good job of breaking down superficial clogs of soaps and grease, but that's a small percentage.  Most tub and shower drains are clogged with hair, toilets with foreign objects, and kitchen sinks by food waste that should have been scraped into the trash.  Each of these requires a different approach. The hair clog can usually be accessed from the drain itself or from the overflow on tubs.Sink drains ares designed with a trap under them that remains full of water for health reasons, they stop sewer gas entering the home.  You can remove this trap to get rid of most sink backups, be prepared for a spray of water and, thanks to your earlier mistake, chemicals like acids and alkalis. Those chemicals also sometimes etch the sinks, tubs, and so on permanently.Getting the foreign object that's clogging the toilet often requires removing and resetting of the toilet and gets quite involved.  Frequently it's that comb you lost from your back pocket.

The method to conserve water?

Shut off all taps and faucets. Repair all leaks. Don't allow it to drain away. Use water harvesting methods to collect rain water, which can be used to wash a car, flooring and for watering plants

Use only as much as is required.

If our current doors are 29 and a fraction of an inch across...what are we supposed to do about a replacement?

I agree with ralph b. However, fitting a new door into an old frame takes a considerable amount of skill. I know because I've been a journeyman carpenter for 30 years. The old frame is likely out of square, a novice carpenter will have a difficult time fitting the door correctly.

Might I suggest removing the casing, after doing so, pull the nails through with a pare of pliers. Cut the nails that hold the door frame on the backside of the frame (between the door frame and the wall stud) with a reciprocating saw using a metal blade. After doing so, the frame will fall out easily.

Install a pre-hung door (30" or 2'-6"), the rough frame door opening (32") will most likely be large enough to install a new pre-hung door without having to rework the rough opening. Install the new door then reinstall the old casing. Check the height of the rough opening, it should be 6'-10". If it is not tall enough then you'll have to cut off the bottom of the new door and frame.

I know this sounds expensive and time consuming but in the long run you'll come out ahead (my opinion) and the results will be more satisfactory than trying to fit a new door into an old frame. If this sounds too difficult then you should consider hiring a professional.

Special note: Interior pre-hung doors have split jambs (one half slides into the other half) these are made for modern walls (2x4 w/ drywall = 4.5" or 2x6 w/ drywall = 6.5") the walls in your house are probably plaster (thicker walls) so you will likely have to order a wider split jamb, one that will work with the thickness of your wall ( 5" or 7").

I hope this will help you make an informed decision.
