What are the charges for beating someone with a baseball bat if you have no past criminal record?
I have a friend who plans on savagely assaulting another human being with a baseball bat. He said he's not going to kill the person, he's just gonna leave him bloody and bruised. However, this person who is going to be beaten is a snitch, and will likely tell the police. I have tried to convince my friend to decide against it, but his mind is set on it. He's downright passionate about this, and he told me "I don't give a **** if I get jail time for this ****". He doesn't have a criminal record (maybe riding a bike without a helmet in his youth), and most people don't know the side of him that I know. He comes off as a fairly nice and respectable man to most people, but that's just because they haven't took the time to get to know him.

No, it's not legal to just beat someone up. But if burglars were in your home, you have the right to bear arms (use a gun). And if someone was beating you up, then yes, it's legal to beat them back in means of self defense.

it depends on who threw the first punch,how bad the beating was and if there were weapons involved and what they end up getting charged with. could be anywhere from probation and anger management classes to jail time. it would also depend what state your in and if they have a prior record of violence. he will probably get sued to pay for the other persons medical bills in any case.

K i will explain the story This guy has been stalking my girl for awhile now Threatening to contact her university professors and telling them he's doing all of her assignments and getting her expelled therefore ruining her future... ANd he said he will NOT tell her profs anything if she choose him over me.... He keeps msging her like mad saying "Choose me or suffer" And she is scared that if she doesnt choose him she will get expelled and ruin her future..... Any sign of plagerism in university is taken really seriously and can lead to expulsion.... Long story short....I wanna beat the Sh!t out of this guy.....if i smack him around and tell him to leave her alone will i go to prison....or just get an assault charge?...(what is an assault charge) I dont really know what would happen......so gimmie your thoughts on if i beat the crap out of this turd....
