How many of you have watched the Boy in Striped Pajamas? I was amazed and stunned at the same time. What are your thoughts on the movie?
I think of all the historical events which have been documented, researched or adapted into a motion picture, Holocaust stands out as the first and foremost among st all.And among st all Holocaust movies The boys in the striped Pajamas is a unique pick.Why?-Most of the Holocaust movies have a military combat plot. There are only few movies which have a simple plot yet which etched a deep impression on your consciousness. TBISP is one such movie which makes one ponder about the different shades of a human psychology. It shows how one can be a doting, protective father loving his children unconditionally whereas the same person is not hesitant on killing children of the same age as his kids just because they don't confirm to a particular faith?It makes us question ourselves that the prejudices and inhibitions that we as humans have drawn up based on the communal,racial and religious grounds towards each other are baseless. The friendship that grew between a Jewish kid and the German commander's son makes us realize that how simple things can be for kids , they are not biased ,they don't have any pre-conceived notions they are pure hear ted. A very heart-warming tale of human compassion and savagery beautifully told.

First I would like to point out that the "german" nazis had british accents! lol umm depends on the person. i think the movie was sadder so i kinda liked the book better, but i think in the book it showed the true innocence of the boy a little bit more than in the movie. but then again the movie better depicted the severity of the situation at the camp. both the book and the movie were fantastic and i cried during both the book and the movie. i commend you on your good choice of books :)
Is The boy in striped pajamas a good movie?
ohhhh, i just watched it. girl you NEED to see it. Its a really touching movie. I cried sooo hard. You really find yourself attached to the characters. i watched it by myself and i felt more into it. but thats just me. If you dont want to cry, dont watch it. but i would defiantly recommend this one. I really hope you watch it. And lemme know what you think. :) One of the best movies i've seen in a long time.
The saddest movie/tv scenes?
I'm making a list of the saddest moments in movies and tv. (mostly movies) And I don't just mean sad, I mean scenes that have made many people cry. (haven't seen it) Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows (Scene where Snape says: Always) And that's pretty much all I got so far.
Saddest scenes of any genre of movie?
What are some of the saddest scene that either touch you, shock you, make you feel bad, or cry (yea girls, im talking to YOU!..haha) here may be some in my opinion EX 1) Karate Kid Remake: Mr. Miyagi (Chackie Chan) explains how his family died to Dre as he cries and sings the song he says his wife sang for him EX 2) The Mist: The ending of The Mist after David has shot and killed his family then he sees a bunch of army people coming for help, and he realizes he killed his family for nothing as he yells in pain up towards the sky. EX 3)Freedom Writers: in freedom riders as one of the students reads out of his journal how he is now homeless, then the other black gangbanger who is also homeless goes up to him and grabs him by the shoulder as a tear falls down his cheek, then the whole class goes and hugs him. EX 4)The Pursuit of Happiness: Will Smith in the Pursuit of Happiness as he is locked in the restroom with his son and someone tries to open the door then he cries as he sees what his life has come down to. EX 5) Toy Story 3: In toy story 3 as all the toys are about to be dumped into the magma thing and they finally all come to accept that they are going to and all hold hands prepared to die with eachother.
