Whats Wrong With My Foot

What's wrong with my toe?

First of all, go see a doctor. Have a professional to look at your toe. While I have faith in the good will and good intention of the people of quora, they lack two critical things: some lack the expert knowledge and advise base on basic knowledge alone, and all can't see the injury itself and can't ask you in real-time how do you feel or if certain treatment works.By the look of it, and base on the story you told, it seems your toe bled internally and now the blood is clotting under the skin, applying to the wound it's blue/black color (this type of injury is called hematoma - internal bleeding). In this type of injury, Usually by the time the digit gets this color the bleeding has stooped and your body begins repairing itself. The color of the nail is the same color as your other (healthy) nails. It is the contrast with the blackish skin that makes it seem more white. As for the pain, it will continue until the wound is healed. Afraid there is no way around it other than painkillers. Try not to put pressure on it, wear open shoes or sandals for the time being. The nail may come off if the object hit the root of it directly. It may come off partially, or change the shape it will grow in the future. Now, the Don't List:Don't open the wound - keep it close and dry. If you wash it, dry it well. If it opens it will bleed and increase it's chances of infection. An infected wound takes way longer to heal.Don't wear closed shoes - the heat, moisture, and pressure will force the skin to rupture, allowing in bacteria. Again, infection. Plus, shoes should hurt like hell now. Avoid it.Don't ignore signs - if your toe starts to hurt too much or swell, or if the color change continues after the first week or so, it means something isn't right with the healing process. See a doctor.Don't take high potency painkillers - If a friend offers you a wonderful prescription pill they got from their doctor- don't take it if it hasn't been issued for you as well by your physician. It can be redundant, it can be addictive, it can conflict with other medication you currently consume. Again - see an expert.Fast recovery!

What's wrong with my foot?

It's a muscle spasm! This has happened to me a bunch of times, and I know, it sucks! Lol. But to help it, and prevent it from happening again, you need more vitamins! Specifically Potassium which helps with muscle spasms. Also it could be that you are not getting enough sleep. Sleep helps your muscles relax! So your problem is not much of a big deal, just take some vitamins and get some rest and you'll be all good! ;D

What is wrong with my foot?

Nearly three weeks ago at work a fire extinguisher fell on my foot. I went to A & E and had an x ray they said they just thought it was soft tissue, nerve and ligament damage and gave me a follow up appointment for a week later. When I went to this, the doctor said the area looked unusual on my x ray and was warm to touch indicating that in fact there could be a small break. I wasn't given any treatment or a follow up appointment.

However, nearly 3 weeks later the pain and swelling is worse than ever and the bruising has not even gone down yet. The pain is undescrible. Its such a dull aching pain that by the end of the day it can make me physically sick.

What do you think is wrong with it? Should I go back and see a doctor? Or is this normal for a foot injury I don't want to seem like Im being a pain and don't want to waste of doctor's time if I don't need too.

What’s wrong with my foot/ankle? *URGENT*?

I know this is pretty much a shot in the dark since not many people use this anymore. I’m a longboarder, and recently my ankle that I push off with, and land with when jumping off my board, has been really hurting.

The bone that sticks out on the outside (lateral mallous I believe) and inside (medial mellous) have been really hurting. Especially the one on the outside. I can barely walk on it without pain (like a 7) and when I sit it also hurts a lot. But for some reason it doesn’t hurt too bad to push on the area. Don’t get me wrong, it hurts, but not as bad as when I’m walking (like a 4)

My parents don’t really think anything is wrong but I’m not sure if it’s a sprain, strain, fracture, stress fracture, etc. There’s no bruising or swelling yet so that’s why I don’t really know why I’m having so much pain.

I’ve tried RICE, Advil, etc.

I can't point/bend my foot from my ankle...Whats wrong?

DEFINetly go to a docter/ You sprained your ankle yet you playe4d soccer on it? that may have ruined your ankle even more

My feet are peeling! What's wrong?

Just about a week ago, the bottoms of my feet started peeling. Now, all over my feet, I have tons of gross looking dead skin. When I peel it off, my feet are not red, and they don't hurt at all. I'm only 13 years old (if that has anything to do with it). now I'm embarrassed to wear sandals! Help!

What is wrong with my foot, got stepped on?

Walking is just too important - go to a doctor and insist on x rays and also MRI's being done. If you have damage you don't know about, it could affect your entire future. A wheel chair is no fun, believe me, I had to use one for months because of a fall into a cement ditch. Bones were smashed & broken but didn't show up on the x ray, - it had to be a really bad x ray tech who did the x rays - so the doctor put a cast on and my foot/ ankle healed deformed. The cartilage was destroyed in the joints, 6 months later I wasn't walking ok, the foot had healed deformed, and I had to have corrective surgery on it by a sports medicine doctor - now I have permanent hardware in my ankle and have a loss of balance as a result.

It just doesn't pay to guess or to not make absolutely sure, You need to check your problem out with a professional.

What’s wrong with my foot? It’s extremely painful and sore.

I’ve had this happen before… sounds like you bruised the bone. You could go see a Dr, Like I did.. just to find it was a wasted effort… If there is still extreme swelling/puffiness… I’d suggest a visit anyways, just to make sure you didn't bust a blood vessel or something that may cause a blood clot..Typically, they suggest Cold for the first day, then heat… so I’d suggest maybe soaking it in a hot foot bath with epson salt for a while. Maybe some motrin or aspirin for the ache and Aleve/Naproxin for the swelling (if there is any). I ended up wrapping my foot up in an ace bandage to give me some extra cushion which helped a bit at the start… then I would stay off my foot as much as possible in my off time. Put your foot up in an elevated position if you can. DMSO is something that might also bring you relief, but make sure you read about it as there are some dangers, and typically you want to use DMSO as soon as possible to break up bruising/painful areas. It can take a while to heal.. It took me about 2/3 weeks before I didn't really notice it when I’d step down hard. Every once in a while, I can still feel a tinge of pain where it was on my heel if I smack it on something and it’s been over a year. Also, there are so many tiny bones in your feet. It’s possible you fractured one/or more.. the bad news is, there’s not much they can do about it, unless it requires surgery. If the pain is getting worse, I would suggest a Dr’s Visit.. just to make sure.. You’re feet are so important. You really don't notice until you hurt them!Get better soon! Hope this helps!

Whats wrong with my chinchillas feet?

It could indeed be dry skin, they can develop callouses on their feet. Callouses can become infected, this condition is commonly known as Bumblefoot. Here's a site which has some information, advise on treatment, and links to some pictures (scroll down to see about dry skin, callouses and bumblefoot):

Maybe take her to the vet for a checkup if you're concerned, and of course take her if you think it may actually be ringworm.
