Whats Wrong With My Tooth

What's wrong with my tooth?

Sorry you would need to be more specific than that for me to give you any sort of helpful answer.Could you send a picture of the tooth? It could be related to your braces, how long have you had them on for?It could be a baby tooth that has a silver crown on it and now it's coming loose (like all baby teeth do). I can't tell without a picture. If it really has nothing to do with your braces, then it could be a number of things, most likely the nerve is irritated and you have to work out whether it is reversible (e.g. Grinding/clenching which might require a night splint to protect your teeth; if it's an upper tooth it could be a sinus infection if you've got a cold etc), or irreversible e.g. Decay into the nerve and it needs a root canal. There are even more possibilities of which I won't go into, like I said there's just not enough information to give you a clear answer. Why dont you go to your orthodontist to see if he can help, or a local dentist. Good luck and thanks for the A2A

Why is the WRONG tooth hurting!?

I had my first molar on the left hand side of my mouth filled about 6 months ago and after the numbness had worn off from the injection I got excruciating pain for about a week non-stop. I couldn't eat or drink anything without a straw and had to go back to the dentist about 8 times in that week.
I initially thought the pain was in the tooth that had been filled so wasn't too concerned as, although the pain was severe, I know that pain after a filling is common.
After a couple of days I realised that the pain was actually in the tooth next to the one that had been filled, my second molar.
The dentist who did the filling told me several times after many inspections and many X-Rays that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the tooth and that if I really wanted, he would extract it.
I decided that I would deal with the pain for a little longer to see if it eased off as I didn't want to unnecessarily lose a tooth. (I am only 23)
6 months later the pain has obviously eased off, but the tooth is very uncomfortable and I cannot put any pressure on it as far as biting or chewing.
I can't understand why I'm having/have had so much problem with a tooth NEXT to the one that was filled but my dentist can't see any problem with it?
Can anyone help me at all? There seems to be nothing on the internet to answer problems similar to this and my dentists certainly don't have a clue.
It's driving me mad!
Thank you!

What is wrong with my tooth?

I have had a toothache for almost two weeks, the pain is like a dull ache on one of my upper molars. The pain is absolutely awful, regular tylenol and ibuprofen does not help at all. I went to the dentist who took X-rays and said that there is nothing visibly wrong but that my tooth goes through my sinus. I went on an antibiotic for five days for a sinus infection but I still have the toothache. The interesting thing is that my tooth only hurts at night, not necessarily lying down but the pain normally starts about about 6 PM, and is completely fine by morning. It doesn't hurt every night, but almost. He said if it was not a sinus infection I would need to go to a root canal specialist, but researching online it does not appear to match my problem. I have NO hot water/food issues and the pain seems to radiate to other teeth on that side and not only hurt in that one tooth. My dentist also said that there are no signs that I am clenching my teeth when I sleep, plus it would likely hurt in the morning if i was.
I am completely at a loss, I am not sure if the root canal is the way to go if it is not going to clear up the pain...

My tooth hurts only when I touch it with my fingernail. What’s wrong with it?

It is very hard to accurately provide a diagnosis based on this single symptom. If it is irritating you to a point that the pain is distracting, then go see a dentist. If nothing happens when you leave it alone, leave it along some more. Most of these “temporary pains” go away by themselves. Don’t think too much into it, and go do something else. Again. If it bothers you too much, go see a dentist. If not, leave it alone.

Whats wrong with Gerard Way's teeth???

If there is something wrong with his teeth, then there is something wrong with mine too...even worse. However, I have nothing wrong with my teeth. But seriously, what is "wrong" with being a human being and having teeth that are not 100% straight, 100% white, and 100% like everyone elses?

Besides, I love my little vampire teeth.

What’s wrong with your teeth if you brush and blood comes out?

Bleeding gums are NEVER NORMAL!!Imagine your scalp bleeding when you brush your hair..is that normal?? NO, right??!Bleeding gums are one of the most common signs that something is wrong in your mouth!!If you’ve noticed a bit of blood in the sink after brushing your teeth, you may think you are brushing or flossing too aggressively but healthy gums do not bleed very easily, there may be an underlying health condition causing it.There is 2mm of space between teeth and gums wherein, resides Plaque that contains bacteria which attack the healthy tissue around the teeth.Bleeding gums are caused by inadequate plaque removal which causes the gums to become inflamed and irritated, making them bleed whilst brushing or flossing. This is called Gingivitis and is the first stage of gum disease.IF YOU IGNORE ---Plaque that is not removed will turn into hard deposits (calculus or tartar) that will eventually cause the gums to separate and recede from the teeth forming pockets where bacteria can get trapped and attack bone supporting the teeth. At this point, Gingivitis has progressed into the more serious condition called Periodontitis which can cause tooth loss and affect your overall health as it been linked to more serious conditions including diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer. Even men’s sexual health can be affected by gum disease. So DO NOT IGNORE YOUR GUM DISEASE!!Other Risk factors can be:Age: The incidence of gum disease increases with age. 50% of adults 30 years or older and 70% of those over 65 have gum disease.Stress related gingivitisMedications: anti-depressants, certain heart medications and oral contraceptives.Genetics: Some of us are just predisposed to get gum disease.Poor oral hygienePregnancy gingivitisPoor nutritionClenching or grinding teethTobacco use (chronic smoking)REMEMBER at initial stage GUM DISEASE IS CURABLE!! and can be completely reversed. So, It is important to see your dentist at the first sign of bleeding gums.We will evaluate your condition(rule out any other underlying disorder) and prescribe you the best treatment (starting with oral prophylaxis viz. Cleaning and polishing). For free cosultation and check up visit :Cosmodent Teeth & Dermal Spa -Best Dentist/ Dental Clinic India

Whats wrong with my wisdom teeth?

The left side of my jaw, my wisdom teeth up and bottom has fully grown. My right side, I can barely see my wisdom teeth growing, I can see like a small tiny bit of my wisdom tooth on my bottom side, on the top side I cannot tell but it seems like nothing is there. If you saw me open my mouth, You can see on the left side that there are 3 molars, on my right side, you can see I have 2 molars. Is something wrong? the dentist told me not to worry but I am worrying because my teeth is very bad, I am so self conscious.

I have creases in my 2 teeth next to my front teeth whats wrong??????

If by 'creases' you mean they're not completely flat, then that's just normal. Because of Regis and Ashly Simpson (veneers), people think that teeth are supposed to be perfect and symmetrical, and that's just not the case for most people. You're noticing it because you're staring at it too much. But to anyone else they probably look about as normal as can be.

What is wrong with my baby canine tooth, one of them is not out yet and I am fifteen.?

One of three possibilities come to mind:1-You don't have a permanent canine to take the place of the primary tooth.2-The permanent tooth is present but has not yet erupted because it is either impacted(bumping up against another tooth) or is horizontal in the dental arch instead of vertical.3-the permanent tooth is ready to descend but just hasn't for reasons unknown. The only way to find out if it's any of these is to have your dentist take a radiograph and confirm.
