When Applying For A Grocery Store And They Have Two Do A Background Check What Are Things That Will

Stater brothers background check?

I have a interview at staters bros grocery store and the only thing I think holding me back from the job is that I have a misdemeanor from 2 years ago. Does anyone know if their background check checks only for felonys or for both felonys and misdemeanors? And if having a misdemeanor automatically disqualifies you from getting hired there? I m very nervous and really need this job!

How long should a grocery store background check take?

I had an interview Thursday for Mariano's Fresh Market. The manager who interviewed me at the end asked if I would complete a background check on site, which I did. Then she told me they should receive the results in 48 hours and to expect a call in 3-4 days. How long should a background test take?

A company (grocery store) wouldn't bother doing a background check if they didn't intend to hire right?

I had an interview at my local Meijer grocery store for the stocker position. I felt the interview went very well, and at the end of the interview I filled out a paper so that they could do a background check. This means I probably got the job, right? I mean as long as everything in the background check is good, then I should be hired right?

Why did I fail my pre-employment background check?

I was hired the other day at albertsons LLC (grocery store) as a night stocker, but my BG check came back as failed.

My criminal record consists of a class 6 undesignated felony, and a misdomeanor (stealing)

but i completely forgot to put the misdomeanor on my applications...

Do you think it failed because of the felony? or because i forgot to add my misdomeanor?

Do police sometimes send in under-aged people to stores to check if the stores are IDing?

When I was 19 my friends and I would take turn to hang out in front of the liquor store in our neighborhood and ask people who were going in if they would buy six pack for me. Most people would say no, but eventually someone would. (In our defense, this was in Illinois, where you had to 21 to buy beer; meanwhile you could buy beer in Wisconsin at 18. Presumably Wisconsin understood that if the government expects an 18 year to die for their country, they ought to be able to have a beer.) One night it was my turn. After several people declined, a middle aged guy emerged from a car. When I asked him to buy me a six pack, he sized me (I was fairly clean cut at the time) and then pulled out a Chicago Police badge. My knees went weak and my heart was pounding. This was it … I’m getting arrested. Instead, he said, “It’ll cost you five bucks … plus the cost of the beer. (That was a lot in 1970; I think that the beer cost less than $1.50.).” I handed him the money without hesitation and he disappeared into the store. While I waited for him I looked at his car. Sure enough, it was an unmarked police car. He came out pretty quickly, handed me the beer, and said, “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” and left with my change. So in 1970, at least some on the police force were not wasting their time worrying about guys drinking beer who were old enough to be in the army.Meanwhile, from previous experience, the guy in the store would take one look at you as you walked in, point at the door and say, “Get outta here.”

What shows up on a criminal background check in Louisiana?

I applied for a job in a convenience store attached to a grocery store. Months ago, almost a year, I was charged with criminal mischief. The charge was brought down from petty theft since it was my first offense. I paid court cost. fine, and my civil demand from the store and didn't have probation to serve. My question is, when running a background check in Louisiana, what exactly will show up? Things I've read say only the date off conviction and what I was convicted for. Will details of the arrest and original charge show? And if not, will criminal mischief keep me from getting this job?

Please no judgment. I was going through some things and did what I did. I realized it was wrong, did what I had to to make it right, and have more than learned my lesson. Please just answer the question if you know and leave the judgment elsewhere.

Can you run a background check on a 16 year old?

Well I turn 17 next month. I applied for a job at a grocery store. The manager called me back and told me that they are ready for me. I came in and filled out all the papers, even the background check papers. She told me that it will take a couple days for her to get the background check back. But I have one assult charge I got when I was 14, and a couple shoplifting charges. But I wasnt charged as an adult, I was on probation and had to pay some fines. Will it show on the background check if im 16? Please HELP, I really need a job.

What qualifications should you have to be a grocery store cashier and clerk?

What qualifications should you have to apply to be a grocery store clerk or cashier? In the USA, first of all, if you want to get hired for any job, be able to pass a drug test. It surprised me, but during the seven years I worked at Home Depot over 30% of applicants flunked the drug test. Don’t apply if you’re not clean. And be able to pass a basic background check, having a conviction may not disqualify you, but be honest. That out of the way, you usually need a high school diploma. There will likely be an online application and a simple test to complete. And that’s the basics.I would add, be ready to work with all kinds of people. Know how to show up on time, every day. And “on time” means if you start at 3:00 be ready to start at 3:00. Don’t come running in the door at 3:00.Be neat, be polite, be willing to do everything that needs doing. You’ll be fine.

Will a misdemeanor stop me from getting a job?

It might come up, but it may not be a big deal anyway. Just because you have a minor criminal record does not mean you are barred from ever having a job. A one time screw up does not condemn you to a life of joblessness.

Why don’t more people find it shocking that you can walk into a Walmart buy a gun and walk out?

You seem to have a misconception about buying guns. It’s not like the guns at Walmart (or really anywhere else) are just sitting out on a shelf, unattended, for anyone to peruse and stick in their shopping cart alongside a gallon of milk and a set of fitted sheets. The guns are behind a counter and require particularly-approved store employees to access. The same paperwork, background checks, and waiting periods apply when purchasing a gun at Walmart as anywhere else.In fact, when I bought a gun at Walmart (I admit it with a blush), not only did I have to wait the standard amount of time before returning to pick it up, but they actually took the extra security step of having an assistant manager carry the gun outside the store with me before turning it over. Everywhere else I’ve ever bought a gun they just hand it over the counter and off you go. Walmart’s procedure struck me as unnecessarily paranoid and more than a little silly, but it’s certainly not like I just “walked out” with the thing. So that’s a roundabout way of saying it’s really not shocking that one can purchase firearms at Walmart. They’re inanimate objects, used at the discretion of the bearer and overwhelmingly more often used for good purposes than bad ones. What I do find shocking at Walmart is the number of shoppers in their pajamas. However, I rarely encounter them in the sporting goods section.
